For my son, who is in the tenth grade, I bought this item on January 29, 2018, and we both adore it. Tonareli Cello-shaped Fiberglass Viola Case with Wheels - Pearl VAF1011). The color and feel are fantastic.Positive: - Extremely sturdy and well-made, offering safeguards. The internal 4/4 size viola was dropped and kicked over a few times but sustained no damage.- Nice quality shoulder straps, lockable clips. - Roomy enough and offered adjustable padding are perfect to personalize the fitting.Negative: There isn't enough space within for any music. must lug a separate bag. The "Attachable Music Bag for Tonareli Violin and Viola Fiberglass Cases" is available for purchase, however it looks odd and obscures the lovely case. Fiberglass Tonareli violin and viola cases with detachable music bag.- Has a stench that won't go away (I am sure it will). My theory is that my boy dislikes the scent of cloth or padding adhesive.- Not too awful, just a little heavy.

This was a fantastic case cover, as I have always known. I am a member of an orchestra in Manhattan, but during the past five years, I have lived and/or worked in Brooklyn, Queens, the Rockaways, and even Long Island, requiring me to transport my viola between those locations. I used to have a case with just one shoulder strap, but it was uncomfortable to carry through congested city streets, so I bought this one. Then it underwent a genuine test. For convenience, I left my viola at a friend's apartment for the night. When I arrived at the scene of a catastrophic fire, the NYFD had brought me a filthy, soggy, ash-covered viola (http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/woman-found-dead-east-side-apartment-fire-article-1.2040190). My case's interior remained dry, and the viola was in tune. My viola was literally saved from a fire by this case. If only I could remove the odor... (I would give it only 4 stars because of this, but I feel like that would be unfair to the Cushy producers who made such a strong product.)

A student case should have case as its value. than stock casings, lighter. came with shoulder or backpack straps, which is a plus. The girl likes it. Be careful that you will have to jam a rest into the side zipper pocket if you use one. There isn't much space inside aside a viola and a bow due to the design. 15" is a comfortable size, and 15.5" should fit, albeit snugly. Although not a professional case, this one should be adequate for a learner instrument. The fact that it has a zipper and Velcro fastening was not evident in the pictures. The velcro doesn't seem to accomplish much, but it might irritate some people. It appears like it could be cut off if you really had to or wanted to.By the way, all zippers function, and the handle is comfortable to hold.Although this is intended for students, the liner is adequate; I wouldn't describe it as fluffy or as lovely as I've seen in pro cases.Since it hasn't yet been in wet weather, I am unable to remark on its waterproofness. If you need a lighter weight case for your high school or junior high student, I'd say it's worth a shot.

Amazing case! When I recently upgraded to a 16 3/8", I was able to use it again because the new one fits wonderfully. I originally bought it for my 16" viola. The ribbons, as opposed to velcro, initially confused me, but they're really not that difficult to deal with. I brought this bag with me when flying, and it fit wonderfully in the overhead bin (I boarded the plane early to make sure there would be room for it).

My primary motivation for purchasing this was its light weight because the protec oblong bag my viola arrived in was so bulky and lacked alternatives for a backpack strap. This bag is ideal for keeping the viola safe when traveling to and from work a few times per month. I am a violinist who recently purchased a viola to utilize for both teaching and personal enjoyment. I strongly advise against using this case as your instrument's daily carrying case, especially for children who ride buses to and from school every day. It wouldn't shield it from the elements or from being dropped, in my opinion. However, it works out perfectly for me, and I'm happy I was able to locate a cheap, lightweight case!

A good value is the Protec MAX VIOLA CASE (16-16.15). The Protec's zippers are strong and large in contrast to many instrument cases' weak zippers. Even though the case is incredibly lightweight and offers more than adequate protection, avoid checking it when travelling. Both the supplied backpack straps and the outside storage space are useful. Avoid buying the Protec Padded Backpack Strap accessory because it is not required and does not fit the case. We suggest the Protec Violin Shoulder rest pouch since it's a reasonably priced accessory with high-quality zipper and clips. For one month, we have been using the case and pouch.
