I think I could be one of the first to get an A1X Four, and I'm impressed so far. I think the day it was made available for purchase was the day mine was shipped.I'm not a qualified person. I can hardly even play the guitar well. I'm just an old person who, after decades of inactivity, picked up the guitar again around 10 years ago. Since I only play for my personal amusement, I am unable to compare this to separate effects pedals because I don't own any and have never used them. Professionals and more experienced gamers might disagree with my assessment, and that's totally acceptable. Having said that, I started having a blast shortly after plugging this in. Even though I still need to read the entire handbook, after experimenting with it for about an hour, I find that the operation is very simple. This does not come with a complete hardcopy manual; instead, you must download it from the Zoom website. The device does come with a harcopy Quickstart handbook, though.I can already tell that I'm going to enjoy myself immensely with this. I'm using a Guild F212 12-string guitar and an Easton E20D six-string acoustic to perform this, and I'll also use a harmonica, which I haven't done yet. I'm going to attempt playing this through a Roland Cube 30 amp that I also have in addition to my Fishman Loudbox Artist amplifier.The number of combined effects you may achieve is essentially infinite when you take into account all the effects and patches this incorporates and the fact that you can not just turn individual effects in a patch on or off or fine tune each effect. With the Zoom Lab program, which I got but haven't yet used, you can also download additional and make your own patches.This is the first effects processor I've ever owned, and after placing my order, I realized there are a ton of others available. The body is undoubtedly made of plastic, but unlike so many other plastic things today, it is really nicely crafted. The buttons, knobs, and pedals provide a precise and fluid feel.I adore the various rhythm (drum) possibilities and how the tempo and other elements can be changed. The tuner is also really excellent, and it matches my clip-on guitar tuner wonderfully.Although I still have to study the manuals, I can already tell that this is going to be a highly interesting and fun effects processor that will encourage me to play more. Using a USB wire and a power strip with USB outlets is an additional choice. In any event, these alternatives might not cost you anything and function just as well as the AC adapter. ( This costs roughly $24 for an AC adaptor. The AC adaptor used has a negative center terminal, so if you do use one, make sure it is the right one. Don't just plug in any old AC adapter that just so happens to have the right socket. The user manual is still necessary to figure out how to use it for the first time because it isn't as intuitive as I would want. Though, once you have it, you won't be able to forget it, so this is not a problem.Sound: Wow, that sounds pretty cool! I've been contrasting its imitation with the authentic Strymon Blue Sky, Carbon Copy, and DD 20 delay, and I can assure you that the sound is unbelievably close. It's among the best at what it does, which includes adding chorus, reverb, and delay, but it also includes noise cancellation, noise gate, equalizer, vibrato, harmonizer, and pitch shifting. Pitch shifting and harmonizing don't happen as quickly as I would want since they become confused if you play too quickly or with two notes playing at once. Additionally, you should be aware that this effect is digital and has a buffered output rather than a real bypass. For most people, this is beneficial, but it causes problems for individuals.You won't find anything as nicely crafted, adaptable, and musically pleasing at this money, I assure you. With the help of this multi-effects pedal, you can chain together various effects and stomps to produce your unique effect tone. However, there are already 70 effects included with the software. By the way, there are at least 30 that are kind of odd and you won't utilize them. The two slap tones I adore are the 6 or 7 amp and cabinet simulators, and it gives me the deep effects I was searching for. I enjoy it.One thing to note is that there haven't been any new effects or firmware changes since 2017.Although it may not be a professional effect box, it is well made, feels sturdy (aside from the power supply), and has many options to help you discover the sound you want.
