The Barbie house was pre-built. All we had to do was take it out of the box, insert the various accessories into their proper slots, paste on a few stickers, and we were good to go. A teapot, glasses, plates, silverware, and other necessities are included.My kid loved it and refers to it as her "dream house." It won't take up a lot of area in your home or your child's room to fit this Barbie apartment or house. It features a handle for portability and can be folded away. All of stuff fits within.Some of the parts are very small and made of plastic. It had a refrigerator, sink, stove, and oven as well as a few additional small storage areas (shelves and drawers), all made of fine, strong plastic with lovely details. It was absolutely worth the $6 I spent on it!For dishes, it came with three hanging cooking utensils, a pot and pan with one lid, two miniature casserole dishes, four cups (two of which had lids), a cutting board, and a knife.For food, it included a yellow pepper, an apple, a cucumber, six eggs on a tray, a bottle of water, a jug of milk, ice cubes, and small cardboard boxes of varying sizes that you assemble yourself and are already labeled with items like cheese, yogurt, butter, waffle cones, ice cream sandwiches, grape sherbet bars, and one that says "bake cake" and opens like a miniature bakery cake box.Every little door and drawer works, and there are a few random cute extras like stickers for the front of the fridge with a white sauce recipe, a shopping list, and a reminder to visit the market at 3 o'clock, as well as when you pull the drawer out from under the sink, you can see the tiny fake plumbing! Overall, I think anyone above the age of five would enjoy this well designed set. I adore my KidKraft dollhouse, and so does my 4-year-old daughter! It took me no more than an hour or an hour and a half to put it together because it was so simple to put together.Two furniture pieces were reportedly crushed and one was slightly chipped, but those replacement parts are already on their way to you after a quick phone call to KidKraft! The provided furniture is already constructed.Another couple of "complaints", if you will, is that the bed isn't long enough for a 12" Barbie doll; as you can see in the pictures, Ken's feet are hanging off the bed and his head can't lay on the pillow either. However, most of the time she uses the bed like a BUNK BED, and Ken fits just fine on the "TOP BUNK"! lol Then there is the bathtub; as you can see in the pictures, Barbie canAs you can see in the photos, we've divided the kitchen into two rooms, but they do all fit in just the kitchen room, but we were unable to open all the doors when we did that. We instead decided to put the kitchen sink in the bathroom, and that worked out beautifully. The kitchen only comes with a sink/cabinet, but I was able to find a kitchen set that FITS PERFECTLY.The nursery area serves as a fantastic playhouse for Chelsea and her buddy but isn't tall enough for Barbie Mom/Dad to stand upright.Compared to "Barbies Dream House," which is all plastic and, based on reviews I read, is constantly falling apart, this dollhouse is sturdy, HUGE, full of lovely rooms, and has a ton of unexpected details on all floors, porch ceilings and walls, inside and outside side walls, and no decoration on the backside. I'd dare to say this is heirloom quality and, if cared for properly, could most definitely be passed down through the generations.It also has a safety device that you can attach to a wall in your house to prevent it from toppling over and falling on the youngster.Thank you KidKraft and Amazon for a great shopping and playing experience!

My 8-year-old granddaughter really wanted this when she turned 8. Instead, she made the decision to utilize her birthday to raise enough cash to provide 189 people with food at John 3:16. My responsibility as a grandpa is to spoil my grandchildren, so I purchased her this even though I was really proud of her for making that altruistic choice. I also gave her some money to fulfill her first wish, which was to feed the poor.I saw my son-in-law assemble the set and it appeared to be a fairly simple process. My granddaughter was cheerfully assisting in the meantime. beautiful gift However, I don't mind that the object is so enormous. It's 3' x 4' and has a lot of creative potential. For my daughter's fifth birthday, I bought this and another (different) one, and we both adore them!First of all, I appreciate that the box arrived in a simple brown wrapping box rather than the customary brightly colored one with a picture of a young child playing with a house on it. I was worried that my girls would notice it when it was delivered and the gift/surprise would be ruined. Thank goodness that didn't occur!I had a panic episode when I initially took the pieces out of the package because there were so many of them 0 o, but it passed soon after I laid them out and organized them.During the assembly process, there were a few times when we weren't sure which way a specific board piece was supposed to face and other things. I'm not sure if this is the fault of the inadequate instruction manual or if it was just one of my own "doy" moments. Anyway, the home finally came together after two hours of writhing around on the floor, and I was astounded by its size! Now, I want it for myself. The item appears to be reliable and could withstand all of my girls playing with it. This dollhouse, which has only been in their playroom for a week, seems to tie the room's design together.The other cheap plastic "dreamhouse" dollhouses (I won't say the brand, but it's super popular and starts with a B) are not recommended at all; I once purchased one and can attest that it was much smaller, cost the same amount, was made of cheap plastic, wobbled constantly, and eventually fell apart to the point where it had to be thrown away after perhaps two years. If you purchase this item, you might never have to search for another dollhouse again!

It turned out fantastic, and I just completed creating it. "Cathy's Flower House" was purchased, and I intend to order more. Overall, the instructions were very detailed, clear, and easy to follow. The directions specifically specify which bag to look for each little item in. Every single tiny piece was present andaccounted for. It's extremely clever to have a page with the outline of each wooden piece labeled with the part number since it makes assembly stress-free. I only deducted one star since there were one or two steps for constructing the miniature flowers and other home accents that were a bit unclear or where the exact measurements that parts required to be cut were omitted. I was able to fill in the blanks with common sense and the preceding instructions, so everything worked out just well in the end. Even extras of many of the flower-making supplies were available, so I was able to design a few additional miniature plants and bouquets. They provide you with a list of recommended additional tools, such as a small ruler (everything is in metric), scissors, needle-nose pliers, a pencil, small binder clips (to hold little pieces together while they dry), and a utility knife, in addition to some basic tools (a tweezer and a paintbrush). The only item I would add to that list is an x-acto knife and plenty of replacement blades; these made it simple and accurate to cut all the small pieces of paper. To protect my table, I placed an old cutting board from the kitchen underneath. I would also advise keeping a few small, inexpensive paint brushes on available to apply a thin coat of glue evenly to the pieces of paper and wood. They include two different types of glue, but I also used a variety sampler pack of Aleene's craft glues because I didn't think the quantity they included was adequate. Since I genuinely enjoyed this kit, I'm considering trying another one next.

This Melissa and Doug Take-A-Long Dollhouse is a hit with my 2.5-year-old son. When I spotted this toy, I was really happy and hoping that he would like it because he loves to ring our front doorbell and he has a toy car whose trunk opens with a key that just fixes him.This has rapidly turned into a beloved go-to toy. Each of the four doors has a unique key that must be inserted into the lock facing the correct way; the numbers on each key, which correlate to the doors, range from 1 to 4. Each doorbell is unique in both appearance and sound, and you can only really hear it if you're right next to the dollhouse, i.e., the person playing with the toy. which is really lovely in contrast to all the bulky, loud, light-up toys currently available. There are four wooden/cloth dolls that can be arranged in any order behind each door.He found it challenging at first, but once I demonstrated how to match the number on the key with the number on the door, he quickly got the hang of it. Additionally, he struggled a little to understand that the key needed to be facing the right way. With some assistance after the initial few tries, he quickly mastered it. With this toy, he has had to concentrate on developing his finger dexterity and number sense. which, in comparison to the months of nursery rhyme number songs, he understood fairly immediately. (Which were excellent for memorizing numbers but less effective for recognizing them). This is a fantastic tool for teaching item permanence and many other open-ended play concepts, such as when adults leave, they come back, they don't talk to strangers, and they always identify visitors before opening the door. Additionally, he stores any other items he wants to lock away at the time, such as his miniature superheroes, in the dollhouse. (A word of advice: try the dollhouse if you can't seem to find your car keys.This is a toy that I wholeheartedly suggest for any kid who is curious in how things function. The item is not for every child; my four-year-old tried it a few times but quickly became tired with it.

What a fantastic dollhouse! It is constructed from durable wood, much like the adorable furnishings. This is built to last for many years of use. The house is enormous! For this, you must have a large space. Despite my lack of assembly experience and lack of tool knowledge, I was able to put this together using an Allen wrench and a Phillips head screwdriver. Although it was easy to follow the image instructions and only took me around 4 hours, this would be much simpler to put together with two people. It was nice that each item was numbered! Although I understand what people are saying, if the elevator isn't a little bit tight, it won't stay in place on each level. It certainly seems to function well, in my opinion. I truly wish the kitchen had a stove, sink, and refrigerator in addition to the table. They are wall paintings. The pictures are on the walls, albeit the walls are presumably not painted. I'll look to buy them as well as a couple additional pieces of furniture. The lamp simply operates on its own to turn on and off. There are just not enough positive things to say about this! Everything arrived undamaged because it was carefully wrapped. I heartily endorse this item! When I get home tonight, I'll add a finished version of the image that is seen above.

Overall, given the price, I'm satisfied with this playhouse. I'll list the benefits and drawbacks that I found during assembly. I haven't let my girls play with it yet, so I can't yet comment on its durability. Once my twin kids, who are 2.5 years old, have had a chance to play on it a lot, I'll come back and update this.The fact that the screws used to assemble it matched the paint color of the room it was to be utilized in astounded me. adored that Since I pay close attention to details, I can't recall the last time a toy's manufacturer did this.2. I, a mother, found it simple to assemble with a handheld Phillips screwdriver. At first, I thought about pulling out the power drill, but each screw only required around 20 wrist rotations. Very good.3. ADORABLE - There is no denying the adorableness of this home, and I know my girls will adore it for Christmas. All of the furniture is included, and it is made of solid wood. The doll home itself is made of particle board and has a sticker covering it.4. A good size that is neither too large nor too little.CONS: The dollhouse's wood is a sticker; it isn't painted. I have already realized how short-lived this will be for my daughters. The house sticker already peeled off in several places when I removed the numbered stickers from the places where the parts were numbered for assembly (with stickers OVER the paper like sticker on the home). Not pleased about that.2. The stairs feel really rickety and are made of cheap plastic, not wood.3. The kitchen chairs' seats are wonky and the glue is visible. I found it bothersome that I couldn't locate any dolls that belonged with this house. Even though I looked for kidkraft dolls, I was unable to discover any that were intended to go with it. The wooden doll family was what I ultimately purchased from Melissa and Doug. Although the dolls are still sealed in their packaging and have not been opened, they appear to be the correct size.I'm going to look into ways to get past the sticker that covers the entire doll house; perhaps I should cover it with modpodge so it won't come off? The entire home will need to be covered with a coat, but it will be worth it because I don't see the decorations on the house lasting very long with little kids playing with it. It need some sort of seal.

The directions are nicely written and fairly simple to follow. simple to assemble Simply takes some time to complete if done alone. plenty of furniture items, two dolls, and four bags of snow are included. It arrived at my place in a large box from Amazon. So the surprise won't be ruined. Inside the large box is the real box. As this will be a Christmas gift, put it together.
