Since she was two years old, my now-3.5-year-old has been requesting this, and we eventually gave in and bought it for her. She is 40 pounds and tall for her age, so I was concerned she could have outgrown it, but she fits perfectly and I don't think she will get too large for it for a while.I was also concerned about the quality because some reviewers claimed it wasn't as durable and didn't spin as well as those from the late 1970s and early 1980s, but I found it to be well-made and haven't had any issues so far. We are hopeful that it will endure a long time despite the fact that it was put together with just one screw (which did worry me). The 3.5-year-old and the 1.5-year-old have put a lot of use and abuse on it over the past week. If it doesn't, I'll update without a doubt!

I purchased one for my son after seeing a friend of mine purchase this item for their youngster. He adores this toy. With the use of the wheels that are meant to resemble turn tables, you may "scratch" and hit the little drums and rhythms. Since he is just 1.5 years old, he doesn't really care about the small toys on the top, but he enjoys all the lights and sounds that go along with this item. The buttons on the bottom allow you to adjust a few settings. The only thing about this gadget that irritates me is that you can't turn it off. The only thing most of these noisy toys have going for them is that you can turn them off, but not this one. Although there are two sound levels available, which is excellent.

Super adorable, however keep in mind that it only moves when you make it waddle. I should have read the description more thoroughly because I had assumed it would sort of waddle across the floor, but it merely moves back and forth in one spot. However, it spins smoothly and the chime isn't obtrusive. It doesn't play music or anything, but it does have a soft small bell within, so I think the music notes are a little misleading. If that's what you're looking for, you'll probably enjoy it just fine because it's a cute, reliable, straightforward toy without batteries.

I was aware of the "colors vary" phrasing in the advertisement and had read a number of the mixed-satisfaction Amazon reviews before placing this order, but I decided it was worth a shot considering the price. When the one I received was originally taken out of the box, it appeared a little small, but when it was used in front of my thrilled grandsons, it appeared much bigger. Although mine was not exactly the pattern seen in the advertisement, it was still really good. The plunger is made of metal, while the body is painted tin. Red plastic makes up the bottom of the spinner and the upper grip of the plunger. But everything fits together well. The spinner's performance and balance are quite excellent, and it spins for a very long time. When you push/pull the plunger up and down, the metal parts make a little clanking noise, but it seems to be part of the "vintage" enjoyment. Instead of blowing a whistle, it "whirs," but it's a pleasant kind of buzzing that encourages children to listen to it rather than generating a loud, intrusive noise that annoys the people nearby. Regardless of the experiences the people who left bad feedback had, the toy I received was lovely and the proper size for a child of the age it is intended for. When we were youngsters, there may have been bigger ones available, or perhaps since we were smaller, the item simply appeared larger.

This top functions fairly well. I wasn't sure how excellent it could be just $2.50 and no delivery. I fail to see how anyone could profit from it. These were probably created specifically for the film and were never sold, so someone else probably paid cents on the dollar for them. In addition, it seems improbable that you could transport these from China for that cost and still make a profit. It spins really well, too. It will spin for around 55–60 seconds with a moderately strong twist before it begins to wobble. Overall, it spins for around 80 seconds with the end wobbles. I've noticed at least one top selling for $45 and wonder how much better it might be. Due to the item's origin in China, shipment took roughly 35 days. The top had no marks and was in good condition. The words "Inception" are inscribed on the bottom. The case comes with a dice for some reason and is a little aluminum (I assume) box. A simple plastic dice like that can be found in any low-cost game. Even though I'm not sure why I reviewed this product in the first place, it still makes me laugh that it can ship from China as a single item for $2.50 and still live up to expectations. The fact that tops are also being sold online for $50 amuses me as well. Overall, if I ever find myself in need of another top, I would buy this again. One shirt is probably plenty for me in my life, though.

This is the one I chose because who doesn't adore the ravenous caterpillar?
