These mats are the most comfortable ones I purchased, and I got them to wear underneath my pants for ventilation. They didn't slide the entire day while I ran, dove, crawled, and put them through other tests to really put them to the test. Since they are so comfy and a five-star product, you actually forget that you are wearing them because they are so soft.

I'm a female, 5'3", 120 pounds. purchased adult small. PERFECT!. I rollerblade. I am too wise and elderly to believe I will never trip or fall. When I was going through the re-learning curve last year, my padded basketball shorts twice kept me from falling, so I know better than to tempt fate. I bought these Tortoise Pad shorts for myself since I was getting a little sick of how hot and big my previous shorts were. So happy I did. I was unaware of what I was lacking.The benefits of these tortoise pad shorts are straightforward to explain.1.) If you'd like, you can eliminate part of the padding. I did, too. The pads are layered, so you can remove a few layers or, for even greater removal, remove the final two layers and delicately split them where a small bit of adhesive has been put. The process is quite simple, and the results are fantastic and completely smooth. You can choose the exact thickness and density you want because there are a few different options. Very Wise. If you are beginning a sport, you could begin by cushioning yourself heavily and gradually go thinner as you improve.2.) You just put these on before putting a pair of shorts on since they ARE your underwear. In the end, it appears rather typical. Athletic shorts that are not tailored fit perfectly over these. The majority of padded shorts should be worn with underwear. In order to hide the unsightly, you wind up wearing three layers: underwear, padded shorts, and then regular shorts. makes summertime extremely hot.3. Convenience They look great, and the waistband is great. Neither too loose nor too tight that you can't wait to take them off. I greatly enjoy this because tight waistbands on me tend to cause sacroiliac pain. There isn't a lot of excess hanging past your usual shorts because the length is pleasant and shorter than most padded shorts.4.) An elegantly simple design. The cushioning slides into compartments that have flaps to secure them in place. It is simple to remove additional padding. I had no issue reinstalling the thinner version after having to fully remove a few pads in order to minimize thickness. To ensure you know which form goes where, I urge you to just complete one pad at a time. For added protection in case I manage a fall like that, I even intend to use a few of the layers that were removed across my front hip bones. The shorts held the extra cushion I slid across that bone in place without moving.Tomorrow if I lost these in any way, I would replace them right away. There's basically nothing wrong with them that I can find. The cost? After trying out three or four cheap pairs in search of comfort and usability, it is simple to understand why these are priced as they are. I truly value the fact that these padded shorts are just a few pads pulled out from being ideal for me after all the effort I have spent attempting to make other padded shorts work. I believe the cost is reasonable. And I'm not too expensive. Tortoise Pads, I appreciate you doing all the work for me. You have my grateful payment for that.

These shorts were purchased to be worn under Kevlar motorcycle jeans. My jeans' pads weren't where I wanted them, and the velcro was scratchy and of poor quality. These shorts now offer impact protection in addition to the abrasion protection that the pants offer. Although these are not robust CE-2 style pads, I believe they will be sufficient in a fall or slide. Since the shorts are so flexible and stretchy, practically anyone can wear them. I am 5'9", 155 lbs, and have a 30-inch waist, and the fit was accurate to the chart. The medium I ordered is just right.They provide excellent value for the money. The fact that I can now wear any pair of loose-fitting jeans in addition to my motorcycle pants and still have some fall protection is a bonus. These would also be ideal for boarders, mountain bikers, etc.It has been mentioned by others to wash the pants without the pads. Although this is a possibility, the manufacturer appears to have only intended to use the hole once when the pads were installed. Since the foam has closed cells, it shouldn't contain any water. I won't think twice about washing these on occasion.

When I became 26 years old, I really started to take snowboarding seriously. This meant that I was always getting bruises. I began performing jumps and other tricks in the snowboard park when I had mastered the ability to ride down steep slopes. I began to trip and hurt myself severely at this point. Since I've previously suffered from a number of injuries from playing contact sports, protecting my tailbone was very essential to me since I didn't want to have to deal with any suffering from the past.I purchased this because it was reasonably priced and had good ratings.Overall, I believe it to be quite practical in terms of usability. When it first arrived, I was unsure of what to expect because the protective lining's outer layer is made of polyester/cloth. With three protection cushions sewed onto it, it feels more like boxers.I have avoided serious injuries while using this device since it works so wonderfully. Additionally, it gave me the confidence and guts to attempt bigger jumps and feats. Although it was durable enough to survive through one season, you shouldn't count on using it frequently across many seasons. But it's actually rather nice for the price.4/5 overall. It offers good value and value for money.

These are AMAZING! These were bought for my daughter who flat tracks on a youth roller derby team that primarily skates on polished concrete floors.Prior to them, she was donning the usual butt pads, which looked like bubble-wrapped cycling shorts and offered some protection. They were low-profile and barely discernible below the usual "bootie shorts" or short skirts/cycle shorts. Even though they are now no longer mandatory safety equipment, which I definitely disagree with, and MANY ladies are not using butt pads at all, they were better than nothing when they were recommended because we were new to the sport.I KNEW I wanted my tween to wear the triple 8s when I saw them online, but how could I persuade her to choose comfort above fashion?To my surprise, she was persuaded by the positives (excellent trail bone covering, hip and leg pads, longer legs for more protection and no creating up into the crotch region) and the cons (pads are thicker), which is ALSO a pro (pads are THICKER = better protection).After reading all the reviews, I bought a size bigger than I anticipated my daughter would need out of concern that she wouldn't like the way they looked. (I'm not joking; it's her favorite sport, but this girl is REALLY all about her appearance!!)When they were delivered, they were a good fit—not too tight or loose. The pads looked just like the photographs and were much thicker than I had anticipated, but those who had evaluated them said that they were much too thin and not what was shown. runs large. Little but not a lot of padding moves around. Because the butt pad slides down, which was my primary motivation for purchasing, the tailbone does not appear to have much protection, which is the main flaw I saw. I rate it a 6/10 for comfort while I'm just trying it on at home. But after I visit the slopes this season and test them out, I'll update this report.Added a star since they significantly lessen the impact of falling objects. With the exception of the occasional slide down the mountain, they felt at ease there. The biggest drawback of these is that they take up a lot of room in snow pants, making movement more difficult.

OMG, this is the coolest thing ever for new or inexperienced skaters. This pad rescued my five-year-old son's butt during every class. He would completely pass out and then get back up as if nothing had happened. the other poor children, not so. But make sure they also have knee and elbow protectors on. thus their bodies have a tendency to follow through and heavily elbow the ice if they take a large fall on their butt. He learned faster because he wasn't afraid of the ice, which was another benefit of not getting hurt while taking any classes.

Actually comfortable while riding a euc, I've overcome my phobia of milli vanilli and wear these in public (I'd also recommend matching colored boxers). In the case of an all too common fall and inevitable road rash, it is intended to protect you in the same way as the knee pads, wrist guards, and vest armor. I do, however, change out of them once I'm at work. I'll provide an update to show how well or poorly it wears out over time.Fortunately, just the kneepads, chest, and wristguards have been severely damaged, as I have only face-planted while riding while looking forward. Hip side and elbow impacts after a fall in a lateral motion are a given. Can never predict these things, but it gives one comfort to know that they are protected for those fleeting "wtf" moments.

These fit just as they are described to. Size L fits me well, and my waist is 31 inches. In person, the pink stitching is a little paler and more of a pinkish lavender hue. I'm not sure if the variants in the other colors are identical to those in "pink." If they are, there isn't a fly in the front of them. Not a problem for ladies, but males might want to take that into account.I don't yet know how effectively they protect because I haven't fallen while wearing them. I'll post an update as soon as I fall.
