This board is a favorite of both my 6-year-old and 5-year-old sons. The sound that each tiny ball bearing produces as it pops up using the magnetic pencil is one of their favorite things. They also enjoy re-lowering the balls. I enjoy doing that and exclaim "POP!" with enthusiasm to make my boys giggle. Our magnetic pencil has vanished on numerous times and is not fixed to the board. If it were connected with a lengthy cord, that would be excellent.

Good size and weight, especially for little hands. Yes, there are some a little rough letters and numerals. I appreciate how the letters are about the same width as a real pencil line. It is somewhat challenging to trace fast due of its size and roughness. This, in my opinion, compels the child to trace more slowly and methodically, which is excellent. These message boards, in my opinion, are a useful addition to your writing tools, especially if you write independently.

My kids didn't like to play with it; he would frequently play with it for a short period of time before switching to another toy. I used to buy an LCD writing tablet from other stores since I thought that all kids like drawing or scribbling at a young age. He can play with other toys for a long time, which I found odd, but I want him to develop his artistic sense by using a drawing board, so I choose to get a nicer one for him at this store to test out.This product has a cute cartoon character-like appearance, therefore I picked out a blue one for him. This time, he uses it for all day long of play! That makes me very happy to see.

I really liked the paper, but I could only give it a 4 because the description didn't really reflect the items. Instead of the anticipated 4 various page styles, there were only 3 different types of paper (35 each). The fact that there wasn't a whole page of all the blocks annoyed me. For sketching space, I didn't really want sheets that were blank on the top half.

Nice item; matches description.Would like that the letters displayed across the bottom were in manuscript or cursive. It is written in a font that resembles slightly sloppily written handwriting, which seems counterproductive for teaching proper handwriting.produced in Taiwan.
