Seki Japan MASAMUNE, Japanese Vegetable Kitchen Knife, Nashiji Stain Finish Stainless Steel Nakiri Knife, Shiraki Handle, 6.3 inch (160mm) Review:

Iv been a chef for 12 years, 5 of them in sushi and at a very high level. Great price for what is a solid little knife, it wont hold an edge all day but will go right back to razor sharp quickly. Perfect for anyone new, to learn how to sharpen and maintain a knife at low risk, or anyone serious who needs something that works but cant drop $120 on a miyabi utility. I did not think i would love this as much as i have.

Chef Knife - Professional 8 Inches, High Carbon Stainless Steel, Ultra Sharp and Ergonomic Handle Perfect for Sushi, Chopping, Slicing, Dicing & Mincing. Wisdom Series Kitchen Knife Review:

My beautiful spirit wisdom chef knife arrived today. It was carefully packed with air pillow cushioning. Encased in a gorgeous red and black box that consists of an outer sleeve, then an inner fold-over magnetic box. Details about the knife and handle are written inside the lid. The dark-colored pakkawood makes a striking background for the embedded spirit wisdom logo, which is a shiny silver and black. The blade is encased in a black plastic sheath. A black plastic peg, attached with a little red cord, keeps the sheath in place when the knife is not in use. The blade is engraved with the Wisdom series logo on one side and oriental lettering on the other side. I'm instantly in love, and I'm not a knife person.I test its sharpness on a the ends of my hair -- yep, it's sharp all right. Dinner is hamburger and sliced tomatoes, and I quake at the thought of all that acid near this beautiful blade. The care instructions inside the lid reassure me that all I need to do to keep it safe is to wash it right away with warm, sudsy water and a sponge then dry it. It is perfectly shaped for that rocking motion so necessary for good vegetable chopping and it has arrived just in time for fall canning. No tomato, cabbage or celery shall be safe from me now!!!

Yoshihiro Shiroko High Carbon Steel Kasumi Deba Shitan Handle Japanese Fillet Butcher Chefs Knife 6 Inch(150mm) Review:

The knife cuts through fish like a hot knife in butter. I recently filleted a Yellowtail which weighed over 20 lb and about 4' in length. It cut through the tough skin like nothing was there. Splitting the head was no issue either. Went through the bone without much issue either. Great knife and I would purchase another one again. I will probably look into other knifes they make as the price is reasonable for a very sharp knife.

SHI BA ZI ZUO Chef Knife Chinese Cleaver Kitchen Knife Superior Class 7-inch Stainless Steel Knife with Ergonomic Design Comfortable Wooden Handle Review:

This knife is sharp, lightweight and well made. I never used one of those >$200 knives. So, I cannot comment on that. But for $30, it is very good. I think it is well suited for everyday cooking. If you do not need to chop bones, this is all you need. This knife is small for a Chinese chef’s knife but big compared to a western chef’s knife. If you have small hands and want a Chinese style chef’s knife, you may like this one even more.

I do not know who choose the sticks on this knife. As other said, it is not easy to get rid of them. I used a heat gun. After you heat them, the top layer (the plastic labels) will come off easily but not the glue. Rubbing alcohol did not do well. I had to use Goo Gone to get rid of all glue. This is silly. Thus, reducing one star.

Kutt Chef Knife Set, 8 inch Professional Kitchen Knife, German High Carbon Stainless Steel Utility Knife, Work Sharp Chopping Knife Review:

I got this chef knife from my trip in the US last week and it is absolutley fantastic.

The set contains a 8 inch chef knife with a pakka wood handle, a very ingenious odor remover useful after cuting garlic, onion and getting in contact with other odors. Last but not least it contains a finger guard, very useful for chopping. I had the chance to use the knife for a week now and I am especially impressed by the sharpeness and the balance. For the beginers out there, balance is very important for chef knives. Being a passionate cook, I owned several knives so far, cheap, medium and expensive, this one however exceeded all my expectations. Moreover, the price and accesories make it a fantastic choice compared with other knives out there. I will be back for more KUTT products.

Utopia Kitchen Chef Knife 8 Inches Cooking Knife Carbon Stainless Steel Kitchen Knife with Sheath and Ergonomic Handle - Chopping Knife for Professional Use Review:

This is a lot of knife for the money...I really like it! Full tang, nice weight and bolster. Very nicely shaped handle and super comfortable to hold and works fast on the board. Very sharp out of the box... we'll see what happens as it dulls and I put it to the stone to restore the edge. Seems very good for the money as I did not expect to "feel" this kind of quality at this price so I ordered another one!... we'll see! Fast delivery and as advertised... but I underestimated it I think! Thanks Seller!

Premium Sushi & Sashimi Chef’s Knives – Set of 4 Knives - Ultra High Carbon Steel Blades Review:

I've been in the market for a really good knife that wasn't going to break my wallet. Saw a bunch of great reviews on this Hiroshi knife and figured I'd give it try. I ABSOLUTELY love this knife!!! So sharp and cuts so easily. You honestly don't need another knife in the kitchen as this will be your go to knife for everything! No job to big or small. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this product. The holidays are around the corner and would make great gifts for your friends and family!

Kai Seki Magoroku Kinju ST Japanese Deba Knife 180mm (AK-1103) Review:

I didn't know exactly what to expect with this knife. It is heavier than most knives, but has a nice feel. The handle is comfortable and the blade sharp with a right handed single bevel. I suspect it would be hard to use all day because of its pretty hefty weight, but for my use, it is wonderful. I was able to slice paper thin, almost transparent slices of prosciutto. I couldn't be more pleased.

MSY BIGSUNNY 7 inch Deba knife Kitchen Cooking Chef Sushi Knife High Carbon Stainless Steel Blade with Rose wood Handle Review:

I took a chance on this low priced knife and was very pleasantly surprised. Good German steel, extremely sharp right out of the box, easy to sharpen with a good two stage stone, handles very well on delicate fish and light vegetables, and feels good in the hand. Just a couple minor surprises - the blade is only beveled on the right side so I would consider this a knife that is best suited for right handers, and it is not a full tang handle so it's definitely not for heavy duty cutting. But I guess both of these features make sense for a light duty filet/sushi knife. They just should have mentioned these things in the description so people can be fully informed and better decide if it's the right knife for them. Luckily, it is definitely the right knife for me.
As for the one fairly negative review that was very critical of a sushi knife being made in China, I had to chuckle. There are a lot of very high quality products made in China. It just depends on the specs, design, materials and quality control implemented by the company ordering and marketing the finished product. His belief that a good sushi knife can't be made in China makes about as much sense as someone saying that all foreign cars in the United States are not capable of being properly driven on U.S. roads. Silly! Just pick and choose carefully the products you buy no matter where they're made.
