My beautiful spirit wisdom chef knife arrived today. It was carefully packed with air pillow cushioning. The knife cuts through fish like a hot knife in butter. I recently filleted a Yellowtail which weighed over 20 lb and about 4' in length. It cut through the tough skin like nothing was there. Splitting the head was no issue either. Went through the bone without much issue either. Great knife and I would purchase another one again. I will probably look into other knifes they make as the price is reasonable for a very sharp knife.

This knife is sharp, lightweight and well made. I never used one of those >$200 knives. So, I cannot comment on that. But for $30, it is very good. I think it is well suited for everyday cooking. If you do not need to chop bones, this is all you need. This knife is small for a Chinese chef’s knife but big compared to a western chef’s knife. If you have small hands and want a Chinese style chef’s knife, you may like this one even more.
I do not know who choose the sticks on this knife. As other said, it is not easy to get rid of them. I used a heat gun. After you heat them, the top layer (the plastic labels) will come off easily but not the glue. Rubbing alcohol did not do well. I had to use Goo Gone to get rid of all glue. This is silly. Thus, reducing one star.

This is a lot of knife for the money...I really like it! Full tang, nice weight and bolster. Very nicely shaped handle and super comfortable to hold and works fast on the board. Very sharp out of the box... we'll see what happens as it dulls and I put it to the stone to restore the edge. Seems very good for the money as I did not expect to "feel" this kind of quality at this price so I ordered another one!... we'll see! I didn't know exactly what to expect with this knife. It is heavier than most knives, but has a nice feel. The handle is comfortable and the blade sharp with a right handed single bevel. I suspect it would be hard to use all day because of its pretty hefty weight, but for my use, it is wonderful. I was able to slice paper thin, almost transparent slices of prosciutto. I couldn't be more pleased.

I took a chance on this low priced knife and was very pleasantly surprised. Good German steel, extremely sharp right out of the box, easy to sharpen with a good two stage stone, handles very well on delicate fish and light vegetables, and feels good in the hand. Just a couple minor surprises - the blade is only beveled on the right side so I would consider this a knife that is best suited for right handers, and it is not a full tang handle so it's definitely not for heavy duty cutting. But I guess both of these features make sense for a light duty filet/sushi knife. They just should have mentioned these things in the description so people can be fully informed and better decide if it's the right knife for them. Luckily, it is definitely the right knife for me.
As for the one fairly negative review that was very critical of a sushi knife being made in China, I had to chuckle. There are a lot of very high quality products made in China. It just depends on the specs, design, materials and quality control implemented by the company ordering and marketing the finished product. His belief that a good sushi knife can't be made in China makes about as much sense as someone saying that all foreign cars in the United States are not capable of being properly driven on U.S. roads. Silly! Just pick and choose carefully the products you buy no matter where they're made.
