This mattress protector is a VERY good pack and play. I've used it on the thin "mattress" that comes with the pack n' play as well as an additional (add on) pack n' play mattress. It has a big skirt that accommodates both types of mattresses, and it completely protects the mattress underneath. I'm not concerned about my child bunching up the fabric under his face and being unable to breathe because the skirt actually does a great job of holding the pad down. A little padding is present, but not enough to cause me to worry about suffocating. I washed this pad A LOT because until I realized that I needed to include diaper pads in my son's nighttime diapers, he was leaking through his diapers every night. Despite the fact that I washed it virtually every night, it still looks brand new. Even washing it on my washing machine's "antibacterial" setting, which raises the water temperature to 145 degrees, did not harm the pad in the least. This has made me very pleased, and I have no hesitation in recommending it.

I received this product recently, and I wanted to see if it will fine my child's crib that measures 52x28x5. It was a little small in that the side panel completely cover at least 3 inches on the other end of the mattress. Overall it was good enough to keep for now. I do wonder after I wash it whether it will shrink. I did test one other thing about this mattress cover, and it is definitely waterproof. I poured 8oz of water on the pad while it was fixed on the mattress. Surprisingly, the water would side off to the sides or stay on top of the pad. It was great to see. I was impressed. Again I am not sure how it will hold up to bodily fluids. Overall, the pad cover is very soft with no packing smell.

I didn't bother to submit a picture to my review because it's pretty much exactly as pictured.I truly love this cover! I simply placed a flat changing pad under the fitted sheet prior to obtaining this crib mattress protector. Then I discovered that it was impermeable and would not be secure if I used it with my rolling baby. I so made the decision to try this one, and I was quite pleased with it. First of all, the material is incredibly soft, comfortable, and hypoallergenic when it is touched on your hand. It will provide my baby a little more comfort on top of her hard rock mattress, so I can tell she'll like it.The waterproof characteristic is the second. I need to confirm that the protector will do what it says it will do—keep the mattress from getting wet. So I put some dry paper towels underneath and pour some water on it to try it out. Walaa!! The underside of the paper towels was still entirely dry! Now I can guarantee that even if my kid wets her bed, there won't be any stains on the real mattress.Last but not least, the pad has deep-pocketed corners, which in my experience make it simple to put on and take off.Additionally, I washed it before using it, and there are no issues with it shrinking at all.

I strongly advise obtaining a waterproof mattress pad to go under the fitted sheet if you want to ensure that any baby accidents that occur in the crib don't impact the mattress, and this is an excellent option! It's soft, silent (unlike some waterproof ones, which create a loud crinkling sound as they move), and simple to wash, which are all things I enjoy (put it in the laundry and dried it without issue although I did use the gentle cycle just to be sure but I think regular would probably work too). And I prefer a two-pack of these so you can actually put two mattress pads on the bed (first put on a mattress pad, then a sheet, followed by another mattress pad and a final sheet) and just remove one sheet and mattress pad if you're stuck dealing with a mess in the middle of the night or at another inconvenient time and no fuss or time wasted putting another sheet or mattress pad on! ;)

I advise purchasing at least three of them. When your child has a stomach bug and is up every hour throwing up, you'll understand. With three, you always have one on the bed, have time to wash one, and dry one. For quick changes, a buddy of mine advised stacking the mattress with three layers of mattress covers and sheets. These are the beds I use for one of our elderly dogs. They can manage mild to moderate incontinence. On top of the dog's bed, I typically add this and another waterproof pad.I've repurchased these and heartily endorse them. Since they make cleaning up messes on dog beds so much simpler than having to clean the entire bed or take off the cover, I now use them on all of the dog beds.They maintain their white color nicely and are very simple to wash. Since I don't use bleach, I'm unsure of how it might interact with the coverings.

I got these to use over five of my dog beds because I spent over $100 on their previous beds, which get scuffed and are difficult to keep clean all the time. When I bought them new beds, I bought these to cover the old ones. Now that I only have to remove these covers and wash them once a week, I can keep their beds looking good.
Most parents use sheets to dress their baby's mattress, but there are a few things to keep in mind when doing so. Make sure the sheet you use fits snugly on the mattress and that there are no gaps between the mattress and the sheet. Also, be sure to use a sheet that is breathable and made of natural fibers such as cotton.
If your baby is congested, you may want to raise the head of their crib mattress. This will help them sleep more comfortably and prevent mucus from pooling in their throat. You can raise the mattress by placing a firm pillow or rolled towel under the head of the mattress.
