On Wednesday, I utilized this tripod for the first time, and I'm really happy with it. Simply unlock the side clamps to extend the legs, which makes setup simple. Even better, this tripod incorporates a leveler that will alert you if the legs are not perfectly level. You can feel even more secure and stable thanks to the swiveling rubber ball mounts on the bottom of the legs. I can confirm that the camera mounting screw is reliable and will prevent your camera from falling off. I forgot to lock the handle, which caused my camera and lenses to fall forward violently. The tripod itself did not budge forward and topple over under the weight of everything on it, and the camera stayed attached to it. Although the carrying bag is a fantastic bonus, take care when closing it up and make sure everything is tucked in. I was zipping it up when the zipper on the bag underneath broke. The line returned to the groove after I was able to unzip it, and it stayed zipped. If you want a tripod to travel with or are just starting out, this one is definitely worth the money.

So, three days ago, my Geekoto tripod arrived quite late in the day. It was thoughtfully packaged and includes a well-made carrying case with a strap for days when you might not want to carry a camera pack. I wanted a lightweight tripod for my wife instead of upgrading my Carbon Fiber MyFoto tripod. I have to admit that she is pleased with my choice. I have been putting it to the test for the past two days with my Nikon D800 and my wife's Nikon D90 with lenses ranging from 16mm to 600mm and exposures up to 8 seconds to see how it would work. The good news1. Height/Weight - This tripod is just as tall as my carbon fiber tripod, and it weighs the same as well!2. Even while using my longest lens, the panoramic ball head did not creep. Even though I wasn't using my RRS pano head, I did manage to create a 6-exposure sunrise panorama (which is displayed in my examples) that stitched together quite smoothly. Additionally, I appreciate that the accompanying plate can always be used because the head is Arca-Swiss compatible. With a wrist strap attached, the center extender is a useful accessory for utilizing the monopod.3. This tripod's legs can be adjusted to three different angles, allowing you to level it in any working environment. Since I've been using a tripod since the late 1970s, it's hard for me to break the habit of utilizing the snap locking mechanism to extend the legs. These are ideal for my wife because the leg may either be locked in position or is free to move. Additionally, an allen wrench is included for tightening any items that might become slack over time.4. This one appears to be strong and has decent build quality. Its center hook, which I was able to hang my Mindshift Backpack from to hold it steady while using a 600mm lens to picture a hawk at sunset, made me happy when I tested it the first night after it came in the desert evening breezes.5. I didn't use the monopod, which was a feature. To construct a monopod, which is unquestionably advantageous to some, one leg detaches from the base and the center extender fastens to the leg.6. To prevent scratches on the tripod legs when folded, this tripod comes with a high-quality bag and a separate cover for the head mount. The color scheme is attractive and creates a stylish tripod.Overall, I'd say the construction isn't as good as my carbon fiber tripod, but the price isn't much better either! I consider the Geekoto tripod to be exceptional value given its cost and its features. Along with this review, I'm sharing some photos taken with the Geekoto tripod. Either a Nikon D800 or a Nikon D90 was used to create these. Additionally, I'll distribute my review to other participants in the photography groups I belong to as well as on Facebook. I sincerely hope this review was useful.

I have used this tripod a lot since I bought it in December of last year. I traveled with it a bit in Brazil. I purchased this due to the low price and weight since I needed a tripod and a monopod for travel after purchasing a tiny tripod from the same firm in June of last year for a trip to Alaska and being pleased with it, but I had to carry both. It is a sturdy tripod that you can raise to a great height. It is ideal if you need to take a picture or a video above your topic. It has impressed me. After two months of use in the cities, rivers, salt water, and beaches. The quality, light weight, ease of removing the monopod, and continued usage as a tripod for a second camera are all features I appreciate about this tripod. There won't be many pictures. I used the hook for your bag or a weight bag, but since it is aluminum, I added a ball head for a mirrorless or GoPro camera or a pan

A tripod backpack and a durable plastic and aluminum tripod are included in the box. Two levels are included with the tripod itself, one on top of the legs and the other on top of the head.I got a second tripod because I liked the first one so much. I still need one more tripod, and for the money, this one is a front-runner.I purchased my first tripod from Bower for around $45, which served as my starting point. I scarcely notice the change in quality. The tripod's components are functionally simple and perform the job. Between a tripod that is useless and one that will function, there is a thin line. This tripod's design and low cost do a superb job of determining the price range to be really low and something that will last for years. These tripods are perfect for my purposes as a home studio and will last me for a very long time.Advantages: Quick ConnectRapid-Hang Hook (for weights or extra gear)Price in 2 LevelsBUY OR NOT: The 60 Inch Tripod by AmazonBasics is a BUY for those in need of a second tripod or just starting out in photography.[...]

Not the cheapest price, but the weight was what interested me. There aren't many light weight choices available in a decent price range, and I don't like carrying weight on lengthy treks. In comparison to other tripods, this one is quite nicely made and offers far more for the money. It is about 1.3 pounds in weight. It is 53" when fully extended, with 9" making up the central column. It's extremely shaky at that extension. It feels secure enough for me to place a Sony DSC-RX10 IV with an extended 600 mm zoom lens. But because there is little rigidity, framing and concentration are difficult.By extending each segment less than fully and lifting the central column only slightly, rigidity can be improved dramatically. It works for my very demanding objectives at a height of roughly 45".Vibrations are not rapidly reduced by the substance. I discovered that for stability, I require a 10 second self-timer delay rather than only 5 seconds after manually hitting the trigger button. But even at the highest telescopic power, I was able to take absolutely precise pictures. The motion isn't smooth enough to make it the ideal tripod for video panning or even for taking still panoramas. In areas with a lot of wind, I also wouldn't use it. Simply said, it's excessively flexible and light.A thread that is long enough to pass through the center hole of the triangular plastic brace connecting the open legs should be fastened to the bottom of the central column. Reliability in windy conditions would be increased by suspending a weight from that string.I put a lot of pressure on the screws to prevent any movement or sliding. There were no issues, and the materials and workmanship are sturdy and reliable. It didn't break. In conclusion, the device is excellent for the price and weight and, with some restrictions, can be utilized outside of its price range.

First off, I have a Gitzo tripod that is much, much more expensive than this one. On your expeditions, you may not always be able to bring a bulky tripod or ballhead. I bought this to bring on a rafting trip in the Grand Canyon. It supported my DSLR (Canon 7d) with a wide-angle lens while being lightweight and reasonably durable (barring windy conditions). I only used it in the quiet evenings for astrophotography. I used 30 second exposures to get some fantastic Milky Way images. I was able to capture numerous razor-sharp images of the stars using a remote shutter wire. I believe the larger size would be even more practical to use because I had to squat a little when using this model to set up my photographs. Additionally, I'm unsure if it could safely support a DSLR with a telephoto lens (70-200 or 100-400 zoom) Although the controls are basic, nothing was broken. In the future, I'll use this tripod for a variety of purposes. Amazingly lightweight for a tripod!

My flimsy Vivitar floor tripod decided to drop my camera on a hardwood floor for the third time, so I threw it away and figured my best bet would be a tabletop tripod. If it did decide to dump my camera, it would only be a few inches as opposed to many feet, at the very least. Fortunately, other than a corner of the battery casing snapping off, my camera was unharmed. A little super glue took care of that. When I received my tripod, I was pleasantly delighted and really, extremely happy. It is not just compact and lightweight, but it also has some weight to it. The tripod's legs, housing, and ball joint are all made entirely of metal, as are the tripod's feet. Long-time owner of a JVC Everio HDD camcorder, I was thrilled to notice that the tripod securely kept the device in place after screwing it on and experimenting with different angles. The camera did initially try to fall out, but that was my fault. After making a small adjustment, the camera stayed put and maintained the angle without any problems.I believe the JVC weighs just a little bit more than a pound overall, but I loved how this tripod made it clear that IT was in command. Even though my JVC camera is outdated, I am not about to lose it due to a tripod malfunction because I cannot afford to make another investment of that magnitude.I'm not sure what the bad reviews are about because I tested this product before writing my review and I can assure you that it is extremely, extremely well made. I was able to troubleshoot my problem in a matter of seconds, so I never thought of docking it a star in case anyone else had problems with it. This is the tripod to get if you're searching for one that works well. I'm very glad I got mine.

What's in the box is as follows:1. The tripod itself.2 travel luggage3 phone mounting brackets4 Bluetooth-enabled remote shutter5- Tiny cloth for cleaningI'll simplify it and list the benefits and cons:Legs can be extended to a height of more than three feet.Mount does swivel in every direction, including up and down, making it nearly 360 degrees.I was astonished to learn it was really light!Even my iPhone 6s can be mounted on a phone (OnePlus One in the photo)-It contains a balance indicator, which is quite useful for letting you know whether the phone is not skewed.Cons: It feels like it might break because it is composed of such a thin layer of aluminum to be so light, but so far it has held up well.-It is only capable of supporting a point-and-shoot camera because it is a phone tripod. For the price, it's a fantastic tool for getting steady images and recording videos or even time lapses. It has a Bluetooth remote so you can take pictures without accidentally bumping the screen, which will result in wobbly pictures. I really enjoy it, and I was unable to locate a tripod like it for a phone that I could carry around without having to worry about its size or weight.

arrived on schedule without damage. Just remember to have realistic expectations when you just pay $14 on a tripod. When I made the purchase, I was fully aware of what I was buying and it was precisely what I wanted. a lightweight, inexpensive tripod that is well-made. This tripod won't likely withstand abuse or overuse, but with good care, it should last a long time. The telescoping legs are excellent, however they could bend quickly if not used properly. It works perfectly when we use it to mount our phones and tablets for different uses. If you're going to put a tablet, I would only recommend "top" mounting it with a suitable mount because a "side" mounting tablet would be too heavy for the tripod to support. The phone holder that is provided is adequate. It fit my Nexus 6P very, very narrowly. Even though I have to shove it in, it can support the weight of a Nexus 6P side mounted without any problems. My kids would be using this mount as well, so I ultimately had to locate another one because they couldn't fit our Nexus 6Ps in there without an adult's help. comes with a stylish bag to carry it about as well.

Although not a piece of precision machinery, this one is fairly nice considering the cost. This appears to be made of metal, and it has a respectable amount of adjustments, with the exception of the feet and the knob used to modify the head's position. It does a great job of what I intended it to do, which was keep my Logitech webcam off my desk. (Another reviewer complained that the screw was too long, however you can adjust the effective length of the screw by turning a thumbwheel, and you can also adjust the maximum splay of the legs by turning a ring.)I wouldn't mount an SLR on this because I'm not sure it could support one, but it works great for a phone or webcam. well-built, robust, and really affordable.
