Small batches of citrus juice work wonderfully in this straightforward juicer. I use it a couple of times a week to make lemonade and orange juice. Oranges and lemons both go well with the huge cone. Even though the enormous cone is too big for grapefruit, it still functions. The strainer has tiny slots that capture all of the pulp. I take the strainer off of oranges with few seeds so that the pulp and juice mix together. Otherwise, you would need to take an extra step and remove the pulp from the strainer. I use the strainer to catch the seeds from lemons that have numerous seeds. It seems like lemons don't create a lot of pulp. Although it is a simple machine without a cup or handle to press the fruit onto the cone, it is useful for small batches (up to a half gallon at a time) and is one less thing to clean. Cleaning up is simple. I don't experience the issue with it sliding or strolling across the counter when in use that some reviews claim to have. It doesn't obstruct anything because it doesn't take up much counter space. I've never used it for more than a dozen fruits at once, and frequently not even that many. If someone has a fruit tree they want to juice, I have no idea how it will hold up to widespread use. It performs admirably for the purpose I describe.

I only used it once to squeeze 6 lemons, yielding about 300ml of juice, and it worked well. I resisted buying it because there were so many complaints about it. I chose to try it even though I was aware that many businesses have compromised quality to maintain low prices because I had been pleased with other Proctor Silex goods. Additionally, I adore yellow:)Regarding the worries I had after reading other reviews:1) I didn't consider it to be loud at all; it just buzzed normally, like any other kitchen item would.2) At first, I was hesitant to squeeze tightly because there have been numerous reports of shattered plastic parts, but you can't squeeze unless you press. Nothing has been broken so far. It's true that metal rotating mechanisms would have been prettier.3) The motor hasn't broken down yet, therefore I don't feel it's weak. It did the job.4) Even though we enjoy pulp, I used the low pulp option because I feared some seeds could slip through. It gathered every seed. I was deeply moved. When I did it by hand, there were always a lot of seeds in the juice that I had to subsequently fish out. If the low pulp setting is equivalent to no pulp, I am unable to comment. There is unquestionably less pulp than I obtained using my manual squeezer.5) While juicing, I didn't have to clean it at all! To extract 250ml of juice, I had to wash my manual squeezer 4-5 times. can be irritable. The juice is forced through by the tiny peddles.5) I enjoy the cup's measurement marks.At least once a week, we produce a gallon of lemonade. If anything changes, I'll update this. Normally, after manually squeezing lemons, I experience pain in my wrist and elbow for a few hours. I am content with the $15 investment if this small assistance can prevent me from that! If the motor is indeed on the weak side, it might be best to let it rest rather than applying excessive pressure.

A two-year warranty is provided. Although loud, it is not annoying.You will be let down by the strainer if, like me, you detest pulp with a burning passion. On the highest setting, it does strain out a considerable amount of pulp, but not all. Because my spouse enjoys pulp, we will retain this product.The separation of the pulp strainer and cone surprised me. Therefore, don't worry about pulp becoming caught there and growing mold.The fact that the jar holds 32 ounces is wonderful. 4 rather large oranges yielded 22 oz for me. The cone also turns backward.Don't anticipate to finish in 5 minutes because it only has 30 watts of power, unless you are only doing one piece of fruit.I found it frustrating to have to stop and dump the pulp out after every half to one orange. It can only hold so much before becoming clogged.Overall, this is ideal for someone on a budget who prefers fresh oranges to the bottled variety. The noise doesn't bother me. Maybe I'll be able to upgrade to one in the future that can contain more pulp, strain more, run more quietly, and have a higher wattage.

I'll be the first to confess that I had serious doubts about the quality of a juicer at this pricing. After enjoying a few glasses of freshly squeezed orange juice this summer, I realized I needed to find an alternative to making it by hand or paying Jamba Juice $6 per glass. I turned to Amazon to find a solution. The ratings for this product were excellent, and it cost half or a third as much as the next juicer I was thinking about. I decided it was worthwhile to try out given the pricing. Wow, I'm impressed! The juicer functions incredibly well. There have been some concerns about not obtaining enough juice from the pulp, but in my opinion this is really not a problem. This juicer extracts an astounding amount of juice. Personally, I would just take a spoon and eat the non-juiced pulp so that I could get my fiber along with my juice. You could, of course, put it in some cheesecloth to obtain a little bit more juice, but I don't believe the extra effort or cleanup is worth it. This juicer is really simple to clean, speaking of cleanup! I don't know if it's advised, but I simply toss the 3 or 4 components onto the top rack of my dishwasher and give the rest of the juicer a quick wipe down. Very quick and simple cleanup. The juicer pieces are made of plastic, which worried me, but they are quite durable and presented no problems at all. Despite not being a huge fan of tiny appliances, I would say that this juicer is on par with my Kitchenaid stand mixer, which I've used for more than 24 years. I also have no doubt that I will continue to adore this juicer for a very long time to come.

Since getting this juicer, I can easily enjoy drinking fresh citrus juice. I adore how simple and safe it is to clean in the dishwasher. The top of the juicer is where the majority of the pulp, seeds, and fibrous debris are stuck, as you can see in my first image. Put it in the dishwasher after giving it a quick rinse (I'll admit to even eating part of it with a spoon). In the meantime, as you can see in my second image, the orange's juice has been extracted and is prepared for consumption. The juice that is gathered still contains a sizable amount of pulp. I prefer it that way, but if you don't like pulp, I'm sure there is a technique to filter it out. To for the juicer to function, you don't need to press all that hard. I haven't had any issues with the power on mine thus far. Just be patient; you don't need to press to squeeze the juice out; the spinner will do that for you. I just needed one orange (both halves) to yield the entire amount of juice stated. Simply place the citrus on top of the juicer and simply press down to begin using it. It's interesting that every time you relieve the pressure and restart the juicer, it spins the other way. I suppose that makes extracting the juice more effective. So far, I really like this juicer!
