Yes, you can use Pyrex to bake a pie. Pyrex is a type of glass that is safe to use in the oven. It is heat resistant and will not shatter like regular glass.
No, pie pans do not need to be greased.
Most people don't butter their pie pan before adding the crust, but it's actually a good idea to do so! It helps the crust to release easily from the pan and prevents it from sticking. Just use a little bit of butter and spread it around the bottom and up the sides of the pan. Then add your crust and proceed with your recipe. Your pies will thank you!

The person who received this gift adored it. I adore the identical dish in Figue (purple). Following are some things to think about:Positives: It is stunning. If you'd like, you can form a crust around the fluted edge. There are a LOT of positive reviews for the ceramic's ability to heat up uniformly and provide an evenly browned crust. It's a convenient-sized dish that may be used for any type of gratin in addition to pies and quiche.Cons: You can't see the bottom of the crust to determine when it's precisely browned, unlike with a Pyrex pie pan. Additionally, a conventional 9-inch pie plate contains 4 cups, although the Emile Henry measurements are a little different. The 3.5 cup capacity of the 8-inch Emile Henry, which I own, is only a little bit less than what most recipes ask for. To be clear, I haven't experienced any problems with this. Alternatively, you may purchase their 9-inch, which, according to what I've read online, is larger than a typical pie plate and may cause your pies to be a little more dispersed than the recipe's creator intended. Therefore, you might want to do some study before selecting a pie plate.

I bought these to sate my longing for handmade peach pie. They did not let us down! I was concerned that because tin pie pans are typically flimsy, I wouldn't be able to accomplish an even bake from adequate heat dispersion like I would with glass ones. They were ideal, though! I prepared 6 pies to test them out, and since they were so delicious, I ended up making 6 more the following night. Compared to using a cupcake pan to bake small pies, this is a lot simpler. Just remember to give them plenty of oil. These pies are also a terrific choice for sharing with a friend for a...healthier serving size, depending on the person's appetite. But let's face it, if you're buying these, you probably do it because you adore pie, and sharing would be a grave mistake. If so, then be aware that they were personal pie tins because that is how I consumed them.

This was in use by me for around two years before it EXPLODED.Regarding size, depth, and width, these are ideal for use as a dish to eat pasta, salads, or anything messy. It contains everything.I therefore use it as a lovely platter for eating. That is why I purchased it. But that's okay with me.I've also warmed food with this. And I've made use of this a lot when making bread. perhaps once per week.THEN, one day, during a brief period of craziness, I cooked bread. then removed it from the oven. Then, after removing the bread, I placed it in the sink. And yeah, I turned on the cold water while it was still scalding hot. BOOM!

These are fantastic and just what I needed as the holidays get near! Every year, despite my best efforts, the foil that I use to cover the sides of my pies invariably comes off. These adhered wonderfully to my pie and are composed of a nice, sturdy material. It offers just enough cover so that the edges cook without burning. The fact that they are flexible and can accommodate different pie pan sizes is the nicest part! Before Thanksgiving, do yourself a favor and purchase these!

I've been baking for years, but whenever I do a blind bake, I always use beans, rice, or nothing. I bought these porcelain pie weights as a treat for myself, and I'm extremely pleased. They are incredibly simple to attach to the inside border of the pie crust, and they heat evenly. After washing and air-drying the weights overnight, I put them in the crust and cooked it for about 15 minutes. The crust is lined with parchment paper. I know I will continue to use these weights for years to come because the outcome was excellent. In order to keep them accessible at all times, I keep them in an open quart fruit jar on my kitchen counter. Regards on a fantastic product!

These are fantastic for my rustic wedding! We are roasting a pig and enjoying various BBQ dishes. With a lid on top, guests may take food to-go with them when they leave, and the pans will protect food from slipping off the dish while keeping it warm (kids). My only issue—more of a suggestion—is that several of the bent pans in the 50-pack I received were caused by damage sustained during transportation. I'll have to undo them as best I can to restore them to their former shape, which won't be the same. Maybe the vendor can fix this for orders in the future? Although I am aware that maintaining them to a flawless state is difficult given how expensive shipping is on goods, I believe there should be changes to help preserve the original form of pans.

Pie weights were required when I recently baked a deep-dish apple pie so that I could blind bake the bottom crust. (Blind baking prevents sogginess of the bottom crust.) According to the recipe, the pie weights should come up the edges of the pie pan and cover the bottom of the crust (7" bottom diameter) to ensure that the bottom crust is forced against the pan during blind baking. A single box of these did not provide enough pie weights to completely cover the bottom or, consequently, to extend up the sides of the tin. However, I want to buy more of these pie weights to address that issue because I enjoy them (even heat, simple to clean and store, no odor, lasts forever).

I got the 10-inch shield for my 9-inch glass pie plate after reading the reviews. The shield slips over the pie dish's handles with ease thanks to its excellent fit and side cutouts. Additionally, it neatly hid the crust without covering too much of the filling. Despite the fact that my oven is so little that my pies are constantly very close to the heat source, my crust did not burn. I haven't tried this product with the somewhat smaller aluminum pie dishes (such those made with EZ foil), so I can't say how efficient it would be on a smaller plate.Overall, if you're sick of cutting foil circles to cover your crust, this is a fantastic purchase.

In anticipation of Thanksgiving, I had this order resting in my drawer for a bit. I have struggled in the past with foil pieces that I could never quite get on right and that always fell off when I placed the pies in the oven because I always bake pies from scratch. This silicone crust protector suited two different pie plates flawlessly and was incredibly simple to use. I was upset because, despite thinking I had bought two pies, I only received one and had to use the unpleasant foil procedure on one pie once more this year. In order to be prepared for next year, I ordered a second. I can't stress enough how simple and efficient this was to use. I adore it. When I was finished, I put it in the dishwasher without any issues.
No, you do not need to grease a pie pan before baking a pie. The dough will not stick to the pan and the finished product will slide out easily.
For those who like their pies crisp, the bottom rack is the way to go. The heat circulates better on the lower tier, so the bottom of the pie will cook evenly and become nice and flaky. If you’re baking a fruit pie, however, putting it on the top rack is a good idea. The top crust might get a little too brown on the bottom otherwise.
If you're baking a fruit pie, you don't need to do anything to the bottom of the pan. The fruit juices will create a natural barrier between the crust and the pan. However, if you're baking a cream pie, it's a good idea to spray the bottom of the pan with cooking spray. This will help prevent the crust from sticking to the pan.
There are a few ways to keep the bottom of a pie from getting soggy. One way is to blind bake the crust before adding the filling. This means that you would bake the crust for a bit without the filling so that it has a chance to firm up and get crispy. Another way is to make sure that your filling is not too wet. If your filling is too wet, it will make the crust soggy. One way to combat this is to add a thickener to your filling, such as cornstarch or tapioca flour. Finally, make sure
When choosing a pie pan, consider the type of pie you will be baking. For example, a metal pan is best for a fruit pie, while a glass or ceramic pan is better for a custard pie. You will also want to consider the size of the pan. A 9-inch pie pan is a good choice for most pies.
Most people believe that it is better to bake a pie in a metal pan because it conducts heat better than glass. However, there are benefits to baking a pie in a glass pan as well. Glass is a better insulator than metal, so it helps to keep the heat in the pie, making it less likely to overcook. Glass is also clear, so you can see the bottom of the pie to check for doneness.
