Pioneer does not disappoint. For the kids, I put this in my Chevy Suburban. Compared to the fold down monitor, it was less expensive and simpler. inexpensive dvd player. If you have the appropriate parts and know how, installation is simple. Excellent audio and visuals. No problems. If the microphone is not placed by the window, calls on the phone will sound clear. I'm purchasing a second one for my wife's car.

For my car, I needed a new double-din audio, but I couldn't afford one with a lot of bells and whistles. I required a radio with the following features:- Bluetooth - CD/DVD - Compatible with backup cameras - AUX Input - FM StereoThe $170 price tag on this stereo was reasonable and it was the ideal match. Once I worked out the wiring in my car, installation was simple. Having said that, usage is straightforward and simple to understand. The Infinity sound system in my Hyundai Santa Fe sounds 10 times better than the stock LG Nav head unit that I had previously. The screen is large and bright, mechanical buttons on the stereo face are accessible and large enough to access without accidentally hitting the wrong one, and all of these features are present and functional.Nevertheless, there are a few tiny things that I would have like to have different:- The unit's AUX input is located on the BACK. You need to try to find a means for it to be accessible while running the AUX cord behind your money. Mine had to go through the glove box. The AUX input is typically located directly on the front of the majority of other stereos I've seen and used. Why Pioneer didn't place it there is something I just don't comprehend.- I wish there were more choices for color themes. Unfortunately, I've never been a fan of the design of JVC stereos. They have a similarly priced double-din device with a ton of adjustable theme settings (plus an AUX input on the front). Blue, Red, and Green are included with this Pioneer device. My Santa Fe's dash color matches the blue well, however I prefer to customize things. So be it.I believe I got a terrific deal at $170, and I intend to buy another for our Suburban. Although I like the stereo, I took one star away for the aforementioned shortcomings.

Our old power cord in our van broke after a few uses. Since we got our twin DVD player setup from Best Buy, I searched their website for a comparable cord. I eventually found what I needed after looking for a while. But the wire that came with the device was much more pricey than I had anticipated. I soon discovered the PWR cord after switching to Amazon to check if I could find a comparable cord. We were prime members, so it came with free delivery and was half the cost of the identical sort of chord that was offered on the Best Buy website. Our boys were thrilled to be able to watch their movies on our lengthy vacation because it arrived just in time for the forthcoming trip. I heartily suggest the cord to anyone in need of this kind of cord because it has held up exceptionally well. In fact, it is a superior cord to the one the DVD system came with originally. It is thicker, and the cigarette lighter plug fits in there extremely tightly. Our cigarette lighter's prior chord would lose its grip, stopping the movies.

This is a pretty great unit for the price. It looks excellent, has more power than the OEM stereo, has good audio quality, and is incredibly simple to use. The four band equalizer is user-friendly and effective. The OEM speakers in the 2011 Jeep Wrangler sound considerably better thanks to the loudness control and me, but I'll be getting new speakers because of how much EQ I had to add. For both phone calls and music, the Bluetooth on my Android phone works perfectly. Even while utilizing the hands-free mode at highway speeds, callers can hear me very clearly. I appreciate that when I get back in the car, it remembers that I was using Bluetooth audio and plays the same song. I'm generally satisfied with the radio. No, it's not of the highest caliber, but you're also not paying a premium. On a 2003 Tahoe with a JVC unit already installed, I installed this. Here are my opinions:Overall, seems to be of decent quality. Built-in Bluetooth mic speaker eliminates the need to purchase a separate Bluetooth speaker. Fairly straightforward wiring instructions.The touch screen requires some getting used to. If you press the home button, it doesn't remain there but instead goes back to the previous screen you were on unless you select something, thus you practically have to touch it "just right" for it to perform what you want.Graphics are quite tacky; the Bluetooth mic, according to what I've been informed, is a touch soft, so you have to speak up. The volume adjuster can be slow to respond as you spin the dial.-The wires are of fairly poor quality. I would have happily paid more for better cables, but they are functioning OK so far.Backup camera: -Instructions are bad, look up how to wire it on YouTube -Picture is actually rather clear, even at night. -Wiring is pretty short and likely only good for compact cars due to length.There is no way to remove the lines drawn as a guide, at least not that I am aware of.-There is a lot of uncertainty over the violet/white cable for the backup camera on the back of the radio. When you put the car in reverse, this wire acts as a signal to the radio, telling it to switch to the camera. This violet wire joins the red wire that emerges from the RCA plug that is inserted into the radio's rear. The red wire connects to the positive side of your reverse light bulb at the other end of the RCA line, which goes to the camera.Conclusion: While it doesn't cost much, this radio isn't of the highest quality. Hard to beat for $99 with a backup camera. My main motivation for the upgrade was for the radio's ability to support hands-free calling, Bluetooth streaming, and a backup camera. Just keep in mind that the camera wiring instructions are terrible, the wiring is shoddy, and the violet/white cable connects to the reverse light.

To replace the inexpensive factory-installed equipment in my vacation trailer, I purchased this unit. As some commenters have mentioned, I did need to slightly enlarge the opening in order to get this device in, but it wasn't a major deal. It sounds unquestionably better than the device it replaced, and I'm confident that it will sound even better after I change the speakers (my next project). My previous device had a touch screen, which was a nuisance. This one actually has usable buttons and knobs that are visible and huge. It includes a dimming capability, which is fantastic because it allows me to use the device as a night light in my camper. The clock features an alarm and is both big and visible. Everything is installed properly and functions as it should. The only problem I had was that this wiring harness has many extra wires compared to the one I removed, and its colors are different. The main area, kitchen, and outdoor areas of my camper each have three sets of two speakers. Zones A, B, and C were what my former unit called them. I suppose I jumbled up some cables because the speakers no longer match A, B, and C, but I don't really care. Although I am not an electrician, the wiring instructions in the manual prevent me from giving this product a five-star review. Overall extremely pleased, and the $180 price is amazing.

Let me start off by noting that I bought the BV9364B model. I cut my factory harness and tried hardwiring it because I wanted to install it in my 2002 Chevrolet Malibu right away. Don't rush things like I did and just get the metra harness with the door chime to end the process. I just connected it up and fastened it after fixing my error. This installation was far cleaner than my CB radio in the glove box, as you can see in the pictures. Lol. The device itself operates flawlessly. Despite not being a high end device, the screen is fairly clear. Several reviews that I read mentioned the volume increase from level 6 to 7. This is accurate, but it doesn't really matter to me. It sounds like the spike goes from 6 to 10. My kids absolutely adore the dvd feature. The video appears to be 720p and is clear and crisp. You must ground the green "braking wire" in order to allow the device to play movies while driving (excellent for passengers). I will be matching this unit up with two monitors for them in the rear headrests. To attach it, simply use one of the little screws that came with the device and screw it into the back plate of the unit in the center (any of the two vertical holes). The hands-free setup was as easy as pie. Simply link the microphone through the dash and plug it in. Overall, it's not bad considering it only costs between $100 and $200.

I'm evaluating this as the $50 receiver that it is. Simply told, for less than $50, it doesn't get much better than this. Anyone capable of installing this should be able to do it because installation was simple and just required a screwdriver, wire remover, electrical tape, and heat shrink (I like to be tidy, so I used heat shrink).The good: You get Bluetooth connectivity, SD card, USB, and AUX ports, a respectable power output (enough to operate your standard 4-speaker stereo system), and stylish design for under $50. I quickly connected through Bluetooth and started streaming my audio files or streaming services. I loaded an SD card, and I have enough music to last for weeks. If you have an old iPod that is loaded with music, the USB port is helpful even though it doesn't charge your device. It is quite clear to broadcast over Bluetooth. Speaking while not using your hands is not a bad thing. Overall, you do receive a lot for such a little cost.The bad: Navigating SD card files is difficult. Simply put, never ever do it while driving. Set it to random and accept the results. Additionally, it only seems to identify MP3 files and probably WMA files, not AAC (iTunes) files. While Bluetooth calling is excellent for you as the listener, you might need to talk a little louder than usual for the person on the other end. I was informed that at motorway speeds, I sounded distant but pretty distinct. The buttons definitely feel cheap; in fact, the volume button used to occasionally become caught in the depressed position (pressing it brings up the bass/treble/fader menu), but not anymore. I fear that it might eventually fail. Additionally, the remote control lacks textured "dots" to aid in blind navigation and is a little difficult to read. Overall, the navigation is a little difficult, but after you figure it out, I suppose it's not that bad.In the end, since this is a budget head unit, problems are to be expected given the value it provides. I don't need to tell you that a $50 unit won't cut it if you're looking for a head unit of actual quality. But if you're on a tight budget and want to replace your outdated CD or cassette player with a Bluetooth and portable media expansion port gadget from the twenty-first century, this is it.

fantastic radio. High volume, very clean sound quality. By ear, I don't hear any distortion. Better than the Mazda MPV minivan's OEM radio, which I replaced. The speakers from the factory now sound much better. Out of curiosity, I might try my oscilloscope and inject a variety of frequencies to see how it performs. fits and functions flawlessly. I've had no issues using the radio for the past three months. The number of features on this radio really above my expectations in terms of both quality and features. It appears that they considered everything. Phones from LG and Samsung supported Bluetooth. With no issues, I was able to stream MP3s and music from Pandora and play from a USB drive. If you ask me, the price was well worth it. For this price, I'd be content if it lasts for two or three years of everyday use. I got what I paid for. Better still if it goes on longer. I might just get a second one for my pickup.

I saw a number of reviews on this product that said things like "don't waste your money" and "it's a lump of crap." It works flawlessly if your harnesses are properly wired! This device is a HUGE improvement over my OEM head unit, and I really like it. The ONLY issue I have with it is that it doesn't show the album art for the song that is now playing. It's possible that I have the device set incorrectly in some way. The Bluetooth occasionally needs to be reconnected, but other than that, it's a great nice product!
