When I first used this remote, it functioned flawlessly right out of the box. I still had the original remote that came with the TV, but I brought this one just in case I misplaced or lost my original remote. I'll cut it short. One day after the testing, I set up this remote and returned with my original. And all of a sudden, when I pressed the buttons to go to the right or left, my TV began acting erratically as though it would suddenly stop. I called my TV technician because I thought there was a problem with my TV. My TV provider informed me that they were sending me a replacement remote because the one that may have come with the TV may have started malfunctioning. So, until my new remote arrived, I turned off the TV for a day or two. Well, I just wanted to test what would happen to my TV with the original remote that came with it, so I turned the TV on with it to see what would happen. To my surprise, the TV worked perfectly fine with the remote that I had initially assumed was the problem. The only thing that sprang to mind was this remote up here that I had tested the day before. I doubt I will utilize this remote unless there are issues. And while this remote did function and claimed to be for my TV, I believe it interfered with the TV's programming when compared to my old remote. The only thing I used differently was that. And my TV always functioned properly before I used this remote. I'm not sure if I would use it again, however it could be just a hitch or something.

This remote control is awesome! This worked out of the box on my older Samsung HDTV model, which is approximately eight years old! ECSTATIC. On my specific TV, there is a small delay of two to three seconds between powering on and the TV beeping to indicate it is on. Although I'm sure that this differs amongst models, I don't think of it as a defect. I bring this up because when it didn't turn on right away, I assumed something wasn't working (like my new batteries). The remote might be reported as broken upon receipt by someone else on this site. It appears like what you would buy from the dealer; in my perspective, this does not seem or feel like a cheap replacement. (Reviews are usually subjective and only a portion of the tale.) I am pleased I disregarded several reports I read about overheating because... Because until I put a, "examine the source." My remote is always chilly; it never feels even the slightest bit warm. This might be because I put the wrong kind of batteries in, defective batteries in, or I overused it in some other way. Also, think about where someone is making their purchases: Amazon? then complains or reports issues to us, or another retailer. In my opinion, those issues should be addressed on the manufacturer's or retailer's websites. If you don't like a purchase or something doesn't function, mail it back to Amazon; you'll get your credit very soon after the UPS driver leaves the drive. Amazon has one of THE BEST RETURN POLICIES available. Anyone complaining that they were unable to return something or that they were stuck with it either held it longer than 30 days or avoided making an Amazon transaction.

This universal remote is good, however there are a few flaws that prevent it from being perfect. The first is that a handful of the buttons don't quite correspond to the features on my TV. I'll grant that it's not a deal-breaker, but that's probably because my TV is rather inexpensive and prone to having compatibility issues with other technologies (namely this remote). However, it is insufficient to detract from a full star. No, it's that in addition to how small the remote is. With the exception of the battery compartment, the remote is fairly thin. For large guys with large hands, like myself, this might make it uncomfortable because your hands want to feel the remote's full weight but end up wishing for more.Other than that, it completely has the control I want. I have a satellite box that it controls very well (this unit is underneath the TV on a shelf that also receives the signal very well and does not require any particularly specific pointing to work properly), a Roku Premiere that works perfectly (I have the unit set atop the TV so that the IR signal is clear and has a wide field for it to receive the remote's signal), and a soundbar that works perfectly (at first I was distressed to think that I would have to press the individual buttons So, excluding the two aforementioned problems, this remote accomplishes what it is intended to, and I'm content with my One Remote.
