This is a straightforward but lovely wedding card. To ensure that the wooden ornament stays in place when the card is opened when it is presented, a small amount of rubber cement is used to fix it to the card, and the gold string is fastened inside the card. Although most people only think of ornaments during the holiday season, this ornament could easily be kept on display all year long.It nearly seems as though the dove images and vine designs were formed from a hot object that elegantly singed the wood in the area of the heart that is cut away with the design. Ivory marble tiles come to mind when I think about the back of the heart ornament, which is a slightly distinct shade of hue. Both sides of the ornament have a matte finish, so even though I didn't do it, I think you could carefully write the wedding date and the couple's names on the ornament to make it more unique. You'd just need to tac the edge down again with extra rubber cement to fix it to the card. There isn't much space—only approximately 1/4"—around the design, but there is enough for you to write a little message of congratulations.Even on significant anniversaries, I have not taken the time to read through my wedding-related cards and other souvenirs to refresh my memories of all the amazing people who helped us celebrate our big day. (I hope to slow down sufficiently some day to do that!). To be able to use the ornament as a year-round reminder of our wedding, I would have delighted to have one along with the card.The front of the card might have had a faint heart image beneath the ornament to prevent the front from appearing too bare when the ornament is removed, which would have made this card absolutely perfect.On Amazon, there is a little "up-charge" for this card. Although the price is only $4.99 on the back of the card, I paid $5.99 for it. Since you get a card AND a wooden ornament, I actually think it's reasonably priced even at $5.99, especially considering that I couldn't find this design at any of the nearby Hallmark card stores. The plate's backside has a rough texture, which makes it simple to spin when embellishing. It was time for the real test after inspecting it and removing the protective cover. I gave it a good spin, and it continued to spin. I grinned broadly as I realized that this was likely superior to the well-known brands and significantly less expensive.The top, though, wasn't level. When I contacted Ohuhu, they were really supportive. They guarantee the excellence of their goods. Instead of the traditional refund process, they instantly offered to send a new one. These Cake Circles are nice because they are greaseproof, which means that cakes won't stain the surface of the white corrugated cardboard circles. This makes them a far better option to regular plain white cake circles and keeps them looking nice and clean. Since they are on the thin side, "Wilton 12 -inch Cake Circles" are the ideal surface for cakes to rest on even if they are not particularly strong. Place your hands under the cake circle to firmly hold the cake; otherwise, it may bend quickly and you risk losing it. I was rather concerned because when I looked at a number of acrylic cake stands on Amazon, they all appeared to have reviews that were either A Fantastic or stated that they had been "crushed on arrival" or were too small.The components all came together smoothly and in one piece. I first snapped a photo of my 9-inch springform pan, which was comfortably seated inside the dome (see pic). I can't speak to height because cheesecake, not necessarily a double layer cake, is my main interest.I used a 10-inch cake board to serve my first cheesecake. The dome still fit, but if you want the dome to fit inside the raised dotted border surrounding the cake plate, that is the widest dimension this dome would accept.My first cake needed to be transported to my parents' house for Thanksgiving; this was pretty standard practice because any food item that needs to be moved holds up better if it is restrained from sliding by heavier objects (in this case, a 12-pack of Diet Coke).Additionally, it is durable and DW washable. I was a little reluctant after reading all the reviews, but I decided to take a chance. I'm so happy I did. The white ones I bought are lovely stands that are quite simple to put together. It was sturdy and free of paint problems, dents, or lopsidedness. As mentioned in the previous comments, the bottom section is more plastic than metal, but you can't tell, and it doesn't lose any of its beauty.
