Most bank safe deposit boxes are fireproof. However, it is important to check with your bank to be sure. Some banks will offer additional protection for an additional fee.
There's no definitive answer to this question since it depends on a number of factors, including how much money and valuables you have, what type of home safe you purchase, and how well you maintain it. That said, home safes can provide peace of mind and an extra layer of security for your belongings, so they may be worth the investment for some people.
Electronic safe locks are designed to be fail-safe, meaning that if the power goes out or the batteries die, the safe will still be locked. However, like any electronic device, they can occasionally fail. If your electronic safe lock fails, you can usually get it unlocked by a locksmith or safe technician.

Excellent safe for the money, simple to set/reset password, strong and nicely constructed. The only thing I would change is to make the opening knob tighter when the safe is shut. When the safe is locked, it has like a 45 degree range of motion, so I could see someone trying to push it to the side (though it probably wouldn't work). The battery cover is an additional item. Mine doesn't snap in, and it's a really loose fit. This is more of a problem for me because the batteries are within the door of my safe, which is on its back. I had had them fall out, but I quickly duct taped the lid back on to prevent further incidents. Simply press the emergency key if they do.

It's a cute small safe that does its purpose well. This safe is not heavy, fireproof, watertight, or thief proof. Simply said, a safe is a place where you may store valuables and documents to keep them safe from prying eyes and anyone wanting to quickly get a score. It locks properly, and setting up and using the electric combo is simple. From within the safe, it can be attached to the wall or floor for added security. I'd suggest this since, if necessary, it could be picked up and walked out the door. It will prevent a typical child, adolescent, or anyone else from trying to enter without leaving markings on it from doing so. With enough patience, a real thief or real person with the right tools can get entry. It would probably bust open if walked out and dropped from a sufficient height. That being said, it can be bolted. This may come across as a bad review, but in all honesty, I simply want to let everyone know that this is a great basic safe and that I would definitely buy it again. This is a good buy given the cost and what I was looking for. It does what it promises to do quite well and is secure for my needs. enough space for the majority of life's essentials. anything—jewelry, a handgun, documents, etc. possesses a shelf that can divide the available storage in half. I believe that Amazon done a good job with this basic safe.

Overall, considering the price, I'm satisfied with the safe.I can fit what I was intending to put inside because of the size. The height is just over the frame next to a sleep number bed, making it useable as an additional nightstand. For goods you need to be able to reach from bed, the top shelf is simple to access. The two mechanical backup keys are strong, and the electronic lock is now functioning effectively. Although the walls are made of a single layer of steel, they are heavier gauge than sheet metal on an automobile. The locking bolts are strong enough to be larger in comparison to the rest of the structure, which is a positive thing. Three to eight length keys can fit on the electronic pad. There are not-brighter-than-necessary lights that provide visual feedback, and the keypad can beep or be silent. A lockout mechanism on the keypad serves as some form of deterrence. To enable permanent attachment to the wall or floor, pre-drilled holes are present at the bottom and rear. The expectation of security should be lower when buying a safe at this pricing point. The door lock's bolts are solid, but due to the door's single-wall structure, I think a sledgehammer could easily break through the unit above and below the lock. One barely fit person could manage to carry the weight inside, which is convenient but also proposes locking the safe down if you're concerned about it ever wandering off. Additionally, the mounting holes are wider than necessary, and the safe doesn't come with a device to close them off (apart from a carpet for the floor). If preventing someone from looking through the mounting holes on the back and bottom to determine the contents is a concern, it is something to think about. The rear wall is more spot-welded than seam-welded, although it is sufficient for the door. The unit's door fitting, notably how it grinds on the bottom, is my greatest complaint. The door requires a strong tug to open from its closed position, and this noise is also audible. When opening a door while pulling up on it, there is hardly any rub, and the noise is almost imperceptible. It might make more noise than you would want if it moves swiftly in the middle of the night, but at this price point, there is definitely a lot of variation between the units. The unit has four mounting holes on the back and floor, but only three anchor bolts were supplied, and one of those bolts is stuck so firmly beneath the bottom door frame that I haven't been able to break it free. The door fitting may be affected by this. All things considered, the advantages of the size, top shelf location, and price make this a happy purchase. Is it combustible? I would say that it is, at best, frame retardant. Can someone put their hand through the door with a sledgehammer in less than a minute? Probably not. But will it be successful in keeping out kids, erratic housecleaners, and uninvited guests? That's a wonderful application for this pricing. Will a missile be stopped? Not all of them, probably.

After purchasing a $17 safe from Amazon and being utterly disappointed, I decided to buy this safe instead. That's what you get for $17, I suppose, so I made the decision to step it up a little, and this works well for a modest at-home safe.Although I'm sure someone could fit inside if they really wanted to, it discourages anyone from tampering with your belongings and is also reasonably weighty and strong.10 days remain in the year, and the safe is still in excellent standing. I would advise one thing though.USE HIGH QUALITY BATTERIES THAT WILL LAST A LONG TIME INSTEAD OF THEIR BATTERIES.I had no problems with the keypad or my PIN at first, but once I had to change the batteries, my PIN stopped working. The batteries they gave me died within the first few months. I struggled to set a new PIN and was forced to utilize the factory PIN out of desperation. Then, for some reason, my old PIN began functioning once more.Do yourself a favor and use high quality batteries the first time, so that this doesn't happen again or to you.I've had it for about two weeks, and the setup was really simple. The keypad also works excellent, and I have to use it every day because I keep medication in there. I put the keys somewhere where they can be discovered. The handle does feel a little fragile; perhaps not frail, but just a bit cheaply-made is more what I'm getting at. This is the sole reason I awarded it 4 stars. I don't think it will break off, but just turning it makes it feel less luxurious than it should given that the rest of the safe is made of nicer materials.Good stuff; if you really want that peace of mind, spend at least that much on a safe; the $15 or $20 safes are precisely that; don't waste your time; I returned mine 10 minutes after I received it.

The reality is that I don't write reviews, but THIS SAFE BOX DESERVES IT.I've been attempting to purchase a SAFE for FOUR WEEKS, but I was terribly let down after reading the 1-Star reviews (which is the first thing I always check) for many of the SAFE alternatives available: It seems that all SAFE BOXES are untrustworthy. Then I discovered this one, which completely fulfills my goal of keeping my pistol concealed and out of sight.THIS IS A REALLY REPUTABLE SAFE BOX (so far).I attempted every "hack" and "technique" you can find on YouTube (and that are referenced in those one-star reviews) in an effort to crack or break this safe, but none of them were successful. This safe could not be opened. Everything that is detailed on YouTube and in reviews with one or two stars, in my opinion, is real, though some of them date back to the original Safe Boxes.BUT DON'T MIND ME: I believe that if someone tried harder and had the right tools or knowledge, they would eventually crack or open this box.The only thing I wish it had more of is space. To give you folks an idea of the REAL USABLE area, I took some images using my meter and two cans of soda (for those that are more realistic visual). In the end, I was only able to fit my Glock G19, four boxes of ammo, and three magazines (plus the one in the pistol).Remember that even though the height is roughly 4.2 inches, the electronic/mechanical section is essentially 2.5 depths deep, therefore the USABLE HEIGHT is actually a little over 2.5 inches. (For instance, I won't be able to close the safe's lid if I put the pistol over the ammunition.)What this Safe lacks is:1) Keypad with Backlighting2. Flameproof3) WatertightSo far, after a few days of testing, everything is functioning as planned; if I find anything, I will update this review.Additionally, because I really wasted too much time looking for a safe, I'll try to give the same review a 1-star rating for others who, like me, read reviews first.

As of January 6, 2018, it was mentioned in other comments that a BIC pen CANNOT BE USED TO OPEN THE.7 cubic foot safe. Other comments mentioned and illustrated unlocking this safe using a pen; however, the.7 cuft safe does not accept pens, so either the lock has changed or it has been updated (see pics)In mine, I currently have two 9mm, two magazines, a few boxes of ammunition, some crucial documents, and other random items, and I have room for more. This safe is flood proof, however it is not fire proof (I don't have to worry about that because I live in Michigan, as noted in another review by a different customer after a terrible fire).Would strongly suggestThe ability to turn off the key pad's loud tone is one feature I'd like to see.

Since comparable-sized fire resistant safes cost twice as much or more, I was genuinely underwhelmed by the quality at this price. However, I was pleasantly delighted because it serves my objectives well. If you read through the negative reviews, you'll notice that many of them are written as if the customer intended to pay this much for a Steelwater safe, which is ridiculous. "You get what you pay for" is a saying for a reason.I'm satisfied with the buy overall. Considering the poor fireproofing on the bottom and door (which could have been easily done better by the manufacturer), the wiggle in the door when closed, the fairly cheap plastic electronic keypad, etc., it's not as nice quality, but I expected this. In the end, the battery turned out to be the cause of the code problem that other people were experiencing. Once I replaced it with a fresh battery, my code operated without any issues. This won't dissuade a committed burglar, but it will stop them from fleeing with my goods before the police show there after tripping my security system.
While it's certainly possible for thieves to steal safes, it's not exactly a common occurrence. Safes are usually quite heavy and difficult to move, so most thieves simply aren't equipped to deal with them. Additionally, most safes are well-secured, so even if a thief could manage to get the safe open, the contents would likely be well-protected.
There are many ways to disguise a safe. One way is to put it in a closet and cover it with a cloth. Another way is to put it in a drawer and cover it with a piece of furniture.
There are a few things to consider when securing a small house safe. The first is to choose a safe that is the appropriate size for your needs. A small safe can be easily hidden, but it may not have enough space to store all of your valuables. The second is to choose a safe that is made of sturdy materials. A safe made of metal or concrete is more difficult to break into than one made of wood or plastic. The third is to choose a safe that has a good locking mechanism. A combination lock is more secure than a keyed lock. The fourth is
A home safe should be heavy enough that it cannot be easily moved or carried off by thieves. The weight of the safe will also help to anchor it in place, making it more difficult for burglars to take the entire safe with them. A home safe should also be fireproof and waterproof to protect your valuables in case of a fire or flood.
Digital safes are becoming increasingly popular as a way to keep valuables safe. But how long do they last? Most digital safes are designed for long-term use. They are made of durable materials and have a robust locking mechanism. However, the battery life of a digital safe can vary. Some models may only last for a few years, while others can last for decades. To ensure that your digital safe lasts as long as possible, it is important to regularly check the batteries. If the batteries start to die, the safe may not be able to lock
Digital safes are becoming increasingly popular, but there are still many people who swear by combination safes. So, which is better? There are pros and cons to both digital and combination safes. One of the main advantages of digital safes is that they are much easier to open and close. You don't have to worry about remembering a complicated combination; you can just punch in a few numbers and be done with it. Digital safes are also generally more secure than combination safes. They are more difficult to crack and often have additional features like fingerprint recognition that
