Accordion doors are not expensive. You can find them at most home improvement stores for around $100.
Bifold doors and accordion doors are not the same. Bifold doors are hinged and open in the middle, while accordion doors are made of panels that fold in on each other.
Folding doors are a great idea if you want to create a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor living spaces. They can be used to open up a room to your patio or backyard, or to create a private oasis within your home. Folding doors are also a great way to let in natural light and fresh air. When closed, they provide a sound barrier from the outside world. And, they can be an attractive addition to your home’s décor.
Yes, you can put two accordion doors together, but you may need to use a different type of hinge. Some accordion doors have a center hinge that allows them to be connected together, while others have side hinges that do not allow for this. You can also use a track connector to join two accordion doors together.

These doors are constructed from good wood that takes dyes well. Mine arrived extremely quickly, undamaged, and in good condition. Me and two teens worked on the installation for around 1.5 hours. If I had purchased the spring loaded pivots for the top of the doors rather than utilizing the plastic ones included in the kit, it would have made the assembly MUCH easier, in my opinion. My son shattered one of the top pivots when he pushed the door open, which is how I found out. I went to a nearby big-box hardware store and bought something such to this: sliding closet door pivot (http://www.amazon.com/Prime-Line-Products-6782-Bi-Fold-Pivot/dp/B00E3NCC06/ref=sr 1 4?ie=UTF8

For the price, this is a pretty great product. All the other possibilities I discovered were far more expensive, and we required a closet door for a peculiar size. This took my wife and I around two hours to install on our own. A level, drill, pencil, and measuring tape are required. You can definitely do the task more quickly if you have a lot of expertise with similar tasks. If you require a narrower width, removing the panels is fairly simple. The product is not accurately depicted in the images. In person, the door is more appealing.

I don't have much space, and none of the three bedroom closets have doors. I live in a double wide. After a few years of getting by with shower curtains, I made the decision to add three of these to make it look more organized. I now use my kids' closet light as a nightlight since I enjoy them and they block roughly 90% of the closet light if it is left on. Although it seems incredibly light, it hasn't been as delicate as I had feared. Assembly was easy, and each piece went together more fast than the one before it.The magnet holds it in the "closed" position, but I do wish there was a built-in mechanism to secure it in the "open" position. I used a Velcro strap to complete the task.

Thank goodness my brother-in-law is tough to beat! Who knows how many labor hours I would have had to pay for if I had hired someone to install it, and a less tenacious person could have given up. The instructions are merely illustrations, to start with. Then, a few minor components from the parts list appeared to be missing. After considerable wrangling, he realized that the door had obviously been started to be assembled by a prior buyer, who must have given up and returned it. The combined parts therefore contained all the "missing" parts. Despite being sold twice, everything was in perfect condition. The door is up and it looks AMAZING! I'm happy I opted for the more expensive door rather than choosing one of those much more affordable vinyl folding doors. Now that the clutter is concealed, the kitchen is lit by the light coming through the plexiglass panels in the laundry room. The door itself deserves a perfect score for its slick, stylish appearance. For the poor instructions, I generously deducted only 1 point; nevertheless, my brother-in-law certainly wouldn't be so understanding.

Our ten-year-old son's bedroom was recently converted from our home office. We didn't want to spend the money to install a standard door because this area lacked one and the doorway was broad. We chose accordion doors and are pleased with the outcome. These doors connected in the middle and had a magnetic closure; two of them were required to completely fill the area. The bottom of the doors are not entirely pulled shut by the closing, which is my only concern. By placing another magnet at the bottom of the door, we will fix issue.Overall, this was a good deal given the pricing. For what we required, it worked great.

I am a woman in my 35s. I purchased three doors for the apartment I rent, two to replace the broken ones and one to match the other two. It was quite simple to install. Unusual, very simple to follow instructions. Compared to the earlier doors, the new ones look more expensive than they actually are and do a much better job of soundproofing. One thing to keep in mind is that the doors' sides can chip if installation is not done carefully. Because the wood can easily split and chip, I only gave it four stars, but the price was still reasonable, so I don't regret my decision.
