These are exactly what I needed. I was that idiot over the summer who burned tealights on my desk without any holders, got up to use the restroom, went into another room for a moment, and returned to discover my computer mouse cord and headphones on fire. Thank God I returned at that time. D'oh. That was a clue that I needed some appropriate tealight holders, which I recently got as the weather is getting darker and cozier (hygge season!). These were less expensive than additional rental insurance. Beautiful gold holders are used. The glass is not as thin as I thought and has a wonderful weight (but if you drop one, yes, expect it will shatter like any glass). The space is illuminated with a golden, warm glow as a result of the light dancing through the gold sparkles in the glass. When it's chilly outside and I want to take an Epsom salt bath, I love to use these in my bathroom. I also use them occasionally in my apartment to provide a little ambience without using lamps. All of these candle stands are level and well-made. I have luminaria candles next to them in my fireplace. These may be placed in a variety of ways, which is why I enjoy them. I adore the hue. This year, we welcomed EVERYONE of our relatives for Christmas dinner, and we requested everybody to wear teal for our yearly family portrait. We just recently purchased a home, and I'm progressively making it my own. I've owned these candles for 15 years, never lit them, and they still smell wonderful (albeit a little faded from when they used to fill the entire room). They also hold many special memories for me. Although I knew these wouldn't completely fit because they're a little wide, I was unable to find anything that matched the look I was trying for. So I purchased these along with a few little mirrors from a particular hobby shop, and I attached the mirrors to the tops of these using a tiny amount of E6000. For less than $20, I'm really happy with how everything turned out. Now to decide what to do with the fifth and smallest! Anyhow, the metal is sturdy. Otherwise, the candles would only just fit because the prongs are very little bent inward. (The round ones, at 3 3/8 inches, do not fit, but the square ones, at 2 13/16 inches wide, do. Though it's relatively close.) They could perhaps tip over since they are tripods, but that is a result of physics, not a design problem. Yes, a broader base might aid in preventing that, but I value the fact that they are smaller and take up less room.
