Effective and simple to use! I've previously attempted to clean my Keurig with apple cider vinegar, which is terrible if you don't get it all out and it curdles the creamer. I also tried flushing with just water, which was successful for about two days. For four uses, this costs less than the name brand, I don't believe it smells (someone complained about that in a review; I'm not sure what they're talking about), and my Keurig is brewing faster and the reservoir actually looks cleaner. The mixture appears slightly soapy. I followed the directions, used half a bottle, ran a brew cycle until it indicated to add water (this includes repeatedly dumping the cup), then filled the reservoir with water and repeated the process a second time, using only water the third time in total. Not just three brews, but three cycles to empty. After finishing, I emptied the remaining water, cleaned the reservoir, filled it, and made a delicious cup of coffee the following morning. As a former instructor for for a decade, I am of the opinion that anyone who had problems utilizing this either didn't follow the instructions or was really trying to be a grouch. Every day, I use my Keurig 2-4 times.

Due to my lack of maintenance awareness, my Keurig 2.0 seemed to be entering a downward spiral after only around two years. I got a paper towel really wet and put it in there instead of the needle-cleaning tool when it suddenly flashed me the clean-the-needle error; it worked, but the amount of filth was unsettling. When I checked in the box it had came in (I always keep boxes), it turned out that I already had a needle cleaning tool. This made me consider maintenance and make me wonder what the handbook would have written about that. Doh!Even so, my Keurig need additional cleaning, and I'm not the kind to have a gazillion chemicals and tools on hand when something straightforward will do. That is precisely what these tiny pods are too! Simple to use and discard; self-contained, preventing cross-contamination; compact, making it easy to keep. When you put a pod in the pod holder and use the machine's 8-ounce cocoa setting, SO MUCH RESIDUE is released along with the water with a small sizzling foam sound. Then, after emptying the mug and taking out the pod, pour more hot water through (I performed two cycles even though it just says one), and even MORE craziness emerges. After one, it continued to flush color and sediment, so I added a second pod and two additional water flushes. But at that time, it seemed to have solved the problem, so I didn't need to do anything else. These are obvious even to someone like myself who is hesitant around upkeep. I regret not purchasing some of these pods earlier.

I adore that this product has a pleasant scent. The next 10 cups of coffee had a vinegar flavor, which made me despise using vinegar to descale the coffee maker (though perhaps this was all in my head). I continued ignoring my Keurig's warnings that it was time to descale. But I already had the extremely costly, super duper deluxe model, and I really didn't want to have to buy a replacement anytime soon. I've owned this one for nearly a year and use it every day.I read the reviews, and some people claimed that the coffee tasted better. Since I am currently using it, I cannot confirm this, however it is incredibly simple to use. There is little doubt that the water is tainted with old coffee. I reasoned that anything I use on a daily basis need to be as sanitized as feasible. On a related point, I was unaware that it was produced by the same business from where I get my hot tub sanitizer until I received the bottle. My water is gin-clear. I try a little too hard to keep things clean, so I add chemicals according to a set timetable. The cost of the spa clarifier was less than what it would have cost at one of the many local establishments that sell pool and spa supplies. When I tell them I have a 400 gallon hot tub at those establishments, I've seen that they immediately lose interest in me when I step in the door. In Florida, where I live, they favor homeowners with sizable inground pools.Impresa emails customers to express gratitude for their patronage and to make sure everything is fine. Service is far better than in physical stores. In fact, I'll copy and paste this review and post it on the spa clarifier website as well.Finding a business that can provide you a variety of beneficial things is excellent.

Our Keurig was producing hot water from the bottom of the water reservoir while only producing a quarter cup of coffee. I tried every remedy that was suggested on several websites. I was instructed to purchase a new machine by Keurig customer support. Descaler was my final resort before throwing the machine away. To get this product through the system, it took the entire day, including multiple breaks (remember it was only producing a quarter cup on each attempt). The system had then to be rinsed according to the instructions by using three water reservoirs. That would take a very long time, I was thinking, and it wasn't really working. Imagine my amazement (and relief) when the first reservoir provided a half cup on the third try. Then it generated a full cup on the fourth and subsequent efforts through all three rinse reservoirs. I avoided having to buy a new machine because to this item! This descaler is excellent, and I want to use it frequently going forward to avoid a repeat of this incident.

Hamilton Beach 40715 that I own was purchased roughly 7 years ago. About ten times, I used it before giving up because drinking ordinary coffee was more convenient. Because I used to live in Italy, I started missing cappuccinos, so a couple of weeks ago I decided to make some again. I pulled the machine out of the cupboard, only to discover that it would only drip slowly, if at all. Even though it took 20 minutes for one shot, my husband, who doesn't drink coffee, enjoyed the cappuccino, so I started attempting to make it work. I used the internet to try the vinegar and water method, but it didn't work. I did everything to remove the brew head, including unscrewing it (had to give up because it was making no progress), cleaning it with a brush, and running water through it (I always used bottle water). Because of how much time I was investing in this machine, my husband even had plans to buy me a new one. After reading about another natural cleaner (not a descaler), I decided to give it a try. Eventually, my drips improved, but it was very erratic. To obtain a shot or two, I would have to essentially perform rain dances, but that was it. I therefore started putting the dezcal through yesterday after ordering it. I would occasionally get a small trickle, wait a while, unplug the machine to prevent an explosion, and then try again. (The frother, by the way, continues to function flawlessly. The same batch from last night was being attempted to run through today when I completely forgot about it, and 15 minutes later the entire batch had completed its run. I was giddy as hell. I filled it up to begin my three fresh water run-throughs, and now it's functioning just like new. I even recorded a video and sent it to my spouse through text. I was about to give up and even purchased a used (Starbucks via Venezia) that should arrive next week, so I'm relieved that little tiny Hamilton Beach is operating once more. I even spoke with customer support about it, and they gave me a 60 percent discount on a new one. Although I appreciated the offer, I decided not to purchase another one because it shouldn't be this challenging after only 15 uses. Anyway, the bottom line is that this device worked, even though I was about to throw away my computer after giving it everything I had. Just take one package, combine it with 32 ounces of water, and then pour it into the water reservoir of your machine. Till it passes through your machine, don't give up.

After feeling bad for ignoring the descale notice for a second time, I bought the Keurig descaler. I bought this solution because I want my Keurig to function nicely and I adore it. I concur that it is highly expensive yet performs better than vinegar. As mentioned by others, I tried using white vinegar, but it takes longer and more cycles to finish your clean. The next step is to empty your water reservoir, fill it with water and white vinegar or the Keurig solution, run a few cycles, wait a little, and then run 12 or more cups of water through.I'll let you decide whether using the branded solution is preferable to using vinegar and saving a few dollars. Personally, I believe the Keurig solution works more quickly, performs better, and doesn't smell like rancid vinegar. Simply running the Keurig solution every other time I receive a notification is my solution. In the end, the money I'm saving on coffee more than covers the $12 fix.Since the price is the main drawback—face let's it, if this remedy were equally affordable to white vingear, everyone would use it without hesitation—I give it a rating of 4/5.

One thing I don't like about it is that there are no instructions; it just says to "go to your item's user manual." Now that I've had my Nespresso for a while, I'm not sure where the original handbook is. I can get a copy online, of course, but why don't they just include a page of instructions with the product? That would be a lot more practical. For a product like this, I'd venture to guess that the majority of consumers think that there will be instructions included in the package. I did.
No, vinegar does not damage coffee makers. In fact, using vinegar to clean your coffee maker is a great way to get rid of built-up minerals and ensure your coffee tastes fresh.
If your espresso machine is giving your coffee a vinegar taste, it's likely due to a build-up of coffee oils and residue. To clean your machine and get rid of the vinegar taste, follow these steps: 1. Fill the water reservoir with a mixture of half water and half white vinegar. 2. Run the machine until all of the water has been used. 3. Rinse the machine thoroughly with fresh water. 4. Repeat steps 1-3 if necessary. 5. descale your machine according to the manufacturer's instructions.
If your espresso machine is starting to produce less than stellar coffee, it might be time for a descale. Descaling is an important part of machine maintenance, as it removes built-up calcium and other minerals that can impede performance. There are a few different ways to descale an espresso machine, but the most natural method is to use vinegar. Vinegar is acidic and will break down mineral deposits, making them easier to remove. To descale with vinegar, simply fill the water reservoir with a 50/50 mixture of water and vinegar. Run the machine like you
Baking soda is often used as a home remedy for cleaning and descaling. It is a natural, gentle abrasive that can be used on most surfaces without damaging them. Baking soda is effective at descaling because it is a mild alkali. When it comes into contact with an acid, it neutralizes the acid and breaks it down. This makes it ideal for removing hard water deposits, rust, and other buildups. To use baking soda for descaling, make a paste out of baking soda and water. Apply the paste to the affected area and let
