2" Black Colored Premium-Cloth Book Binding Repair Tape | 15 Yard Roll (BookGuard Brand) Review:

I write down and bind my sermon notes for later use. I cover staples on the binding using tape. I needed a new roll of book tape because I had been using an old roll. This tape appears to function flawlessly. Although I did not consider it when I got the tape, it is not the tape's fault that I found it to be a little thinner than what I was using. I had no trouble pulling and cutting what I needed. It adhered to my cardstock well and looks fantastic on the binding. I do have some older books that may eventually require tape, but I don't see why this tape couldn't be used to fix them. So far, a good product for me.

JOFAMY Bookbinding Kits, 17 pcs Bookbinding Supplies,A Necessity Book Binding Starter Kit Real Bone Folder,Paper Awl, Large-Eye Needles,Glue Brushes, Scissors, Steel Ruler Wax Thread Review:

When I decided to try bookbinding, I bought this because it seemed to have almost everything I would need (apart from glue and paper), and it quickly proved to be worth the money. I've created five different books only from the kit, and each one turned out beautifully. The ring and awl were the only things I can claim didn't function very well. I couldn't wear the needle ring on my finger, but I didn't actually need it to bind books. It was on my first finger knuckle, and I used it to push the needle through several sheets of paper in order to make the holes for the thread. In any case, it was useful.I didn't use the awl to punch holes in paper because it wasn't sharp (like a needle tip), but it worked great for cardboard. The included knife was first the least favorite thing until I discovered it was my own user error (I had the blade facing up when trying to cut), but it cuts fine and hasn't caused me any problems. Also made of actual bone is the bone folder.I don't regret purchasing this kit.

Books by Hand pH Neutral PVA Adhesive, 8oz (BBHM217) Review:

This is a top-notch item. I bought this adhesive so I could create my own unique notepads. Applying the glue on the pad's spine or header was a cinch. You can spread a tiny layer of adhesive along the edge, spine, or header anywhere you choose by using a little paintbrush. In around 30 minutes, the adhesive attempted to touch. The glue is white initially applied, but after it dries, it turns clear. I'm going to make plenty more notepads for myself and the office personnel because my first batch turned out excellent. This adhesive is just what I was hoping for. Without a doubt, I would buy this product again.

Lineco Books by Hand Ph Neutral Adhesive 16Oz Review:

I've never used this adhesive or bound a book before. I choose to test this glue after reading the reviews and questions. It has greatly thrilled me. I'm healing while removing old covers. I quickly discovered that I needed to move swiftly because this glue hardens and dries quickly. Additionally, place wax paper between the cover you are adhering and the rest of the book; otherwise, the new leather will adhere to the book's pages as well. Additionally, since doing so will bind the paper edges together, you must be careful not to spread the glue over the paper's edges. The adhesive is transparent and incredibly durable after being let to dry for 24 hours. When using it, Elmers glue comes to mind, although it sets much more quickly.I squeeze a small amount into a container and use my glue brush to paint on. It will begin to harden in the container if you use too much or leave it sitting for an extended period of time. It uses water to clean. I then thoroughly rinse my brush and container. It rinses clean and easily comes off.The only thing about this glue that I don't like is that there are no instructions on the bottle for things like how to set the timer or clean. If there weren't questions posted on Amazon by other customers, I wouldn't have known how to actually use this glue as a beginner like myself.Get this if you're binding a book. I'm applying leather to the books I'm making, and it adheres like crazy.

VENCINK Genuine Bone Folder Crafts Scoring Folding Creasing Paper Crafting Scrapbooking Tool for DIY Handmade Leather Burnishing Bookbinding Cards and Paper Crafts (1 Bone Folder) Review:

My job at the library is when I first learned about these tiny gadgets. They help us cover books and are known as "burnishers." They are ideal for both firmly holding the tapes we employ and forcing air bubbles out of the contact-paper-like coverings we apply. The folders/burnishers in the library are made of plastic, and although I'm not sure why, I much enjoy the way this one, which is made of bone, feels in my hands. It's an item of straightforward beauty and usefulness, and I'll like using it. Although it's small (the library has both this size and longer ones), I can use it at home to make greeting cards, so it's ideal for me. The pointed end will help with scoring, and I can use the long side (at an angle) or the rounded end to press the fold into place (along the score line). Additionally, it will assist in flattening and smoothing down taped or glued card decorations. I'm delighted I have it because I anticipate it will be useful for scrapbooking and other craft endeavors as well.

Scotch Book Tape 845, 4 Inches x 15 Yards Review:

I used to work in a school where I befriended the librarian, who showed me how to care for and fix books. I have many investments, and this was the best advise I ever got! The books I used this cassette on back then, in 1991, are still in excellent condition. The ideal way to apply the tape is using the right skills, however if you have a beloved book (paperbacks work best) or want to safeguard your children's books, you should get this tape. The most damaged of your books can be repaired when used with a few other items! You can see the title and cover art on the tape since it is crystal clear. You won't find a better cassette for your library, so don't let the cost put you off. The only aspect of the tape that I have ever disliked is that it is shiny rather than matte, but considering how thick it is, I believe a matte finish could be too hazy. Enjoy!

Scotch 845 Book Tape, 2 Inches x 15 Yards, 3 Inch Core, Crystal Clear Review:

This tape is excellent. After working as a preschool teacher for children aged one to two for a year, I have witnessed my fair share of damage to children's books (both board and paper). The books were frequently considered unfixable and tossed in the trash. But once I purchased a roll of this tape, I was able to fix the most of the damage.I've used this tape to repair things like book bindings that were broken in half, shredded or ripped pages, and cardboard covers with artwork that was torn and pulled away. The outcome isn't perfect in the end. It was evidently once torn and taped back, but if you realign it closely and tape without bunching, you should obtain respectable results. In my case, I was able to bring the books back to the class so the kids could keep using them.In order to fix one of my daughter's favorite books, I am currently getting this tape. She likes to hold the board book frequently, which occasionally results in damage to the binding. I got a roll of adhesive tape for myself to repair the binding and make the book functional for her because I was sorry to take her beloved book away from her.I should point out that the positive evaluation in this review is purely based on the product, not the vendor (I realize most people will use different sellers). Simple rolls of tape are taking an absurdly long time to arrive in the mail. I advise you to check the feedback for your vendors to make sure they treat your orders seriously and don't hold them for days or even weeks before sending.

BookGuard Stretchable Clear Book Repair Tape | 15 Yard Roll (1 Inch) Review:

I taped the spine of my father's 45-year-old Bible using book tape. This Bible was frequently used by both my parents. I currently have the Bible. The spine's cover was tattered and flaking apart. The cassette performed well. I'll wait and see how it holds up. Due of my uncertainty over how it would fare in the long run, I only gave the total rating of 4 stars. The clear tape makes it incredibly easy to see the cover's color and the titles' wording.

6 Inch Real Bone Folder, Genuine Bone Folder Origami Paper Creaser Crafting Scoring Folding Tool for Leather Cards DIY Handmade Burnishing Bookbinding Review:

I utilized this technique to help me fix the binding on several old books whose age and incorrect storage had caused it to deteriorate. Using a PH Neutral PVA archival adhesive and the tool's edge and tip, I was able to glue down the binding while following the natural crease in the book without further harming it. I am thrilled with how well-made this item is.
