Canson XL Series Bristol Pad, Heavyweight Paper for Ink, Marker or Pencil, Smooth Finish, Fold Over, 100 Pound, 9 x 12 Inch, Bright White, 25 Sheets Review:

This essay is sick. Although I usually prefer even thicker paper, I purchased this to compare it to every smooth Bristol paper I could find in the USA (I'm from the UK and am accustomed to using several paper manufacturers). Once it has settled, the ink holds incredibly well. It preserves the colour of my Copic markers and doesn't absorb too much ink like thicker paper. The only drawback is that fineliners take a little while to completely dry, like most smooth papers, so take caution where you're working.

Strathmore (342-114 300 Series Bristol Vellum Pad, 14"x17", 20 Sheets Review:

incredibly robust and thick sketching paper. I made use of charcoal and graphite. Excellent if you have a strong hand. If you're interested in tea stains, it also stains well. If you want to adjust the paper's edges or shape for a project, it burns well. Because I truly like drawing on this pad, I ordered it again. There should be more sheets, please.

Strathmore 346-1 Paper 300 Series Sequential Art Bristol, Smooth, 11 x 17 Inches, White 24 Sheets Review:

The best price I've seen is on this paper. The size is ideal for creating comic book pages. Although you will need to rule off all the bleed and live area lines by hand, this option is significantly less expensive than purchasing pre-lined bristol board. The paper resists wet ink and repeated erasure. I ink with a crow quill, which typically rips through inexpensive paper. The quill couldn't harm this paper because it is sturdy enough. Although sturdier bristol board is available, this is all I'll ever need given the cost.

Neenah Cardstock - Lightweight, 67 lb/147 gsm Vellum Bristol, 94 Brightness, 8 ½ x 11, 325 Ct. - MORE SHEETS! (91633) Review:

Update: I've printed several creative sheets and make-your-own journal kits in the week since receiving the cardstock. The paper is excellent, and I purchased it online. Absolutely, I'll keep purchasing it. I'm overjoyed with my buy!The stack is almost 4 inches thick, and the papers are wonderful. I'm really glad I chose this paper. I've long used 110 pound cardboard from Walmart in large card projects. This is equally weighty. Is it accurate when people claim they don't think it's as heavy as it seems to be? I just know that it feels the same as my regular 110# paper and that when I watercolored on this cardstock last night, it did a fantastic job of holding up. Nothing but good paper to create art on—no peeling paper while you paint with brush strokes. I frequently print journaling materials on cardstock, but I haven't tried this one yet. Once I do, I'll try to update.
