AFMAT Electric Pencil Sharpener Heavy Duty, Classroom Pencil Sharpener for 6.5-8mm No.2/Colored Pencils, UL Listed Professional Pencil Sharpener w/Stronger Helical Blade, Best School Pencil Sharpener Review:

Since I teach junior high, you could anticipate that I sharpen a LOT of pencils. I bought this sharpener, and for the first 50 or so pencils, it worked perfectly. However, after that, it suddenly stopped operating as if its life had just ended. It would not switch on or do anything. It was over instantly, despite my best efforts to tell it what a great job it was doing and how much I valued all of its efforts. So I graciously asked for a replacement, and I received one almost quickly. It was like magic; I sent the request, and before I had a chance to return the depressingly dead sharpener, a new, shining one had shown up. I was shocked. So, after plugging in my brand-new, upbeat sharpener, a student approached me and wanted to use it to further her studies. I graciously accepted, happy to have given my students the tools they needed to succeed. It seemed as though everything halted as soon as the pencil entered the new sharpener's hole; the device makes a noise similar to that of a cement truck barreling down a dirt road while spewing out dried cement. It is the loudest, most annoying thing I have ever heard, which is saying a lot coming from a middle school teacher who is practically surrounded by pandemonium for the whole eight hours of the day. I'm trying to let you know that this sharpener can be heard down the hall, three classrooms away, over the loud sounds of youngsters learning. The Sharpener Will Probably Die And Need To Be Replaced: The Sharpener Will Sharpen Pencils But You'll Wish It Didn't. It Will Be Replaced By A Version That Sounds Like The Grand Finale Of The Fourth Of July In Small Town America.Update***** AFMAT recently gave me a replacement sharpener for my cement truck.Even though I haven't tried it yet, I'm glad they sent it to me.

Electric Pencil Sharpener, Durable Helical Blade to Fast Sharpen, Auto Stop for No.2/Colored Pencils(6-8mm), USB/Battery Operated in School Classroom/Office/Home(USB Cable and Ac adapter Included) Review:

This electric sharpener has a few features that I absolutely adore, including its small size, which makes it simple to store in my desk drawer or, for those who prefer to leave it on their desk, doesn't take up much space. Pencils are precisely sharpened in a matter of seconds. Compared to using a hand-held sharpener, it saves so much time. See my photo to see how sharp they also become! I also like that you can use it without a plug by putting batteries in it. Ideal choice for individuals who are constantly on the road or if your child has to bring one to school! It is also really simple to clean out! Over the years, I've owned a few other electric sharpeners, but this one is by far my favorite and does an excellent job! Working incredibly well for our family when there are several children in school and homework is due every night!

PowerMe Electric Pencil Sharpener - Battery Operated, for Home, Office, School, Artist, Students – Ultra Portable Automatic Pencil Sharpener, ideal for No. 2 And Colored Pencils (Drawing, Coloring) Review:

Sharpening pencils manually with a razor blade simply doesn't work. Getting a point on your pencil requires constant shaving because the lead frequently breaks. The entire pencil will soon be gone. The best option seems to be a traditional grinder style of pencil sharpener. However, which one and how much money should you invest in order to fulfill your desires for a sharp pencil point? I sharpened every pencil in my home and office after purchasing the Battery Operated, PowerMe Electric Pencil Sharpener, and I ADORE it! I believe that the ancient grinder design was improved upon through engineering by using grinding heads with precise tolerances. The wood has been ground so smoothly, and the taper is exactly right. To me, it merely exudes smart and superior design. Out of a wide range of products available on Amazon, I chose this one since it appeared to offer good value for the money and had positive ratings. I'm so happy I decided to try this one! I hope it goes on for a very long time!

X-ACTO School Pro Classroom Electric Pencil Sharpener, Blue, 1 Count Review:

I asked my daughter's first-grade teacher how I might make her life simpler, and she suggested that I sharpen some pencils for her as it takes a lot of time and she dislikes doing it. I was surprised when the first gallon-sized zip lock bag of 100 pencils arrived at my house after I had joyfully consented. I borrowed a manual pencil sharpener from a buddy who used to be a teacher because my electric sharpener was inadequate. A second bag of pencils was brought home by my daughter a few weeks later. At Target, I purchased an electric pencil sharpener. I couldn't even get through the first 20 minutes because it was so bad. I was aware that I required a device with a very large holder for the shavings so I wouldn't have to dump them continually and that I preferred anything that plugged in to one that used batteries. I chose this one after asking around and reading reviews, and I'm very pleased I did!It takes just a few seconds to quickly sharpen each pencil to perfection. You don't waste pencils or have to take the pencil out to check if it's finished because the blades retract and stop sharpening when the pencil is sharp. The bin is generously sized to handle extremely large batches at once, and despite my concerns, I haven't had any overheating thus far. When I was sharpening some of the thicker starter ticonderoga pencils in addition to some regular sized pencils, the various sized pencil holes came in helpful. I didn't notice that it was glued to my kitchen counter until I was ready to move it, but it was a pleasant added bonus! It includes multiple suction cups on the bottom, which I thought was a wonderful touch because it will remain put instead of moving about. If you only sharpen pencils rarely, this could be overkill, but for me, completing 100 or more in one sitting every few weeks is a dream!

X-ACTO Ranger 1031 Wall Mount Manual Pencil Sharpener Review:

I was a little wary before making a purchase after reading other reviews that talked about an unevenly sharpened point (one side sharp lead exposed, the other side still wood). When I first started using it and was preparing to pack it up and return it, I also had this experience. The pencil will end up with a very sharp (and balanced) point if you hold it with a somewhat slack grip and allow it to rotate freely in your hand as the blades "catch" on the areas with the highest resistance on all sides. The result is a point that is only useful on one side if I hold the pencil firmly enough to prevent rotation. Because I've never had to do that with any other fixed sharpers, allowing the pencil to rotate in your hand doesn't feel completely natural, but it's simple to get used to. It's possible that the remedy would just apply to my situation, but I suspect that many others with the same problem were too eager to give up, as I nearly was.Additionally, I appreciate how "old school" this seems because every time I use it, I'm reminded of using almost the same kind of sharpener in elementary school. Also a great price. The machining does feel a little flimsy (which, I suppose, is reflected in the price) and it's a little difficult to install using the screws provided (tip: I used longer screws that I had laying around and I also found that removing the metal housing while installing is crucial to allow the angle of your screwdriver or drill to drive the screw in correctly). These factors are the reasons why it only has 4 stars instead of 5 stars.

JARLINK Electric Pencil Sharpener, Heavy-duty Helical Blade to Fast Sharpen, Auto Stop for No.2/Colored Pencils(6-8mm), USB/Battery Operated in School Classroom/Office/Home (Black) Review:

This pencil sharpener is fantastic; it is the ideal size, sharpens rapidly, and doesn't leave the wood with a rough edge. The helical blade is sturdy and ought to endure the upcoming year. By no means is it loud either! This sharpener came with both the real outlet plug and a cord to power it, something that most similar goods never include. It can be powered by a cord OR a battery, in this case four AA batteries that aren't supplied. Both ways I used it were equally powerful, and there was no power reduction when using batteries.I use this at home, but I also occasionally take it to my Sunday school classroom where I sharpen around 20 pencils at once. The compartment size is ideal, and I can easily use 20 pencils or more before needing to empty it. I don't have to do this every five or ten.The sharpener's size is ideal as well; it is roughly equivalent to one of the smaller Gatorade bottles or a little smaller than a Coke can. My own isn't overly large, so it rests on a kitchen counter where it won't get in the way. This pencil sharpener excels on all fronts and offers fantastic value. Before having to be empty, it can hold about 30 pencils, and it can sharpen that many swiftly. Excellent purchase; strongly advised.

STAEDTLER pencil sharpener, premium quality sharpener with screw-on lid, prevents accidental openings, compact size for pencil case and work-station, 511 63BK Review:

When I was younger, I loved Staedtler's Noris pencils, fountain pens, mechanical pencils, drum and metal sharpeners, and other stationery products. I remember clearly that possessing Staedtler products was almost a status symbol back then. So when I found the Staedtler Drum Sharpener, whose design hasn't really changed since my school days in the 1990s, I was thrilled to acquire them for my 3-year-old son who has just started attending Pre-K.IT'S USEDespite the fact that I may be a little nostalgic about this sharpener, it is certainly not a dud. Even after all these years, this pencil sharpener still exceeded our expectations by effortlessly sharpening pencils to a needle point without damaging the lead. just what I recall from schoolIf you've ever used a crappy dollar store pencil, you know how difficult it is to sharpen it without repeatedly shattering the lead. Cheap pencils are no problem with this sharpener. that excellent. No matter the grade of the pencil, it is composed of metal and has an ultra-sharp blade that sharpens pencils with a very smooth sensation and clean, flower-like shavings.A lot of pencil shavings can fit inside the neatly designed drum before it needs to be emptied.LAST THOUGHTSOverall, if you want the greatest sharpener that is built and engineered in Germany, you can't go wrong with this one. The only drawback or difficulty with it is that you need to find other products totaling around $24 to get it because it is an Add-On item.

Pencil Sharpener, VEYETTE Portable Colored Pencils Electric Pencil Sharpener Perfect for Kids, Teachers and Artists, Plug & Battery Operated,USB Included Blue Review:

I needed a pencil sharpener that would be safe for a 3-year-old because my daughter had multiple pencils that needed to be sharpened. It's highly secure and simple to use. Even if she becomes a little clumsy, she is able to insert the pencil into the sharpener without it becoming caught or tipping over. I would definitely advise keeping it around the house. Additionally, because it is compact, it is simple to store.

Electric Pencil Sharpener, VEYETTE Purple Portable Pencil Sharpener Perfect for Kids, Teachers and Artists, Plug & Battery Operated,USB Included Review:

This pencil sharpener was nice. This electric sharpener is far superior than the previous one I have. I like that it is highly portable and that you can power it with either batteries or a USB cable. This one is simple to use, and raising the clear lid makes it simple to remove the sawdust. My 8-year-old nephew had no trouble using the sharpener when I let him use it.Highly advised.

Bostitch Personal Electric Pencil Sharpener, Blue (EPS4-BLUE) Review:

My kids are big fans of this sharpener. It sharpens quicker and more effectively than my desk sharpeners. I used to have my biological kids use my heavy duty pencil sharpeners in my classroom to sharpen 10 pencils about every two weeks. In the interim, they would use their little pocket sharpeners. That wasn't very successful. Sharpened pencils were usually in short supply for our homework and art projects. My three-year-old is precocious and far too brazen for her own good, so I was most concerned about the danger an electric sharpener posed to her. The opening for the pencil is too small and too deep for her little fingers anyway, but my husband and I did find a position on top of our tallest bedroom dresser where we could put the sharpening. This is a relief for parents who are prepared for the worst, like us, and for my older children who need it. I would also use this with my students in the classroom, but in a place with less traffic or use ( like in an art or writing center or at my guided small groups table). The shards reservoir is little and would need to be dumped frequently because it is smaller than a typical classroom, but it is just as potent as the larger one.
