Since it was such a hot summer, I wanted to start my long weekend bike rides earlier in the morning so I could get inside before the Texas heat really got going.That required leaving in the dark, though. Even if the area where I bike is normally considerate of bicycles, it doesn't matter if they can't see you. I have the standard rear taillight for biking in general. But given that it will be completely dark, I wanted more.These came up in an Amazon search. I took a chance and have driven about 800 miles with them almost ten times. They've done a terrific job thus far. The wheels are certainly illuminated. Although they aren't particularly bright, they are sufficient for any car to see me at night. These wouldn't be bright enough if I were riding during the day and would be bleached away by the sun. So after the sun is up, they don't offer any further protection. However, it's okay too.Installation is not too difficult, and the batteries have so far held up. Overall, I'm very happy. It makes me feel more secure while biking at night. With these and other lights I've added, I feel like a Christmas tree that has been lit up. It won't be because I wasn't spotted if I'm hit by a car. Highly suggested.

Installing these cheap tyre lights on a 22" spoked bicycle wheel was quite easy. The entire evening, my son rode his bike up and down the street while the light was rotating and creating patterns. You need to get that bike moving in order for the patterns to show, is one piece of advise. Everyone who is watching finds it to be a lot of fun, but as the bike rider, you obviously don't see much of anything. The additional advantage is that these tyre lights will get some notice from other road users. Everyone saw my 10-year-old son's bright tyres and stopped far enough to keep him safe as I sent him barreling through intersections at full speed.

These tiny lights are quite useful. You receive two of them in addition to a spare set of batteries, two small Velcro loops for attaching to objects, a larger Velcro-elastic band large enough to fit an average upper arm, and a small screwdriver to open them up for a battery swap. You also receive two of them and they come with batteries already installed.There are three settings, and pressing the bottom-front flush switch alternates between off, constant on, gradual blink, and quick blink-off once more.The inside of the clip includes four substantial ridges that may grab a variety of mounting surfaces, including pockets, webbing, skinny belts, and more. Now that summer has here, I am riding more at night. I enjoyed my ZOT tiny headlight, but I made the switch to the 600 light since it is brighter. I've used it three times so far and am extremely pleased with it. It IS bright, too! I won't need to use the higher levels very frequently. When I'm approaching busy junctions I need to cross, the Day Lightning feature is helpful because I ride a recumbent trike and can be easily spotted by automobiles. They may mistake me for some sort of emergency vehicle if I have my flashing feature on since I really grab their attention. I may adjust the brightness level once I've arrived safely. The extremely low "walking" setting is one feature that not all lights have. I also own Olight flashlights, and on both, the setting is referred to as "moonlight." On the Cygolite, the same method used for the Olight—long pressing to turn on the light—is used to access that level. Quick and simple, and that mode provides HOURS of battery life. My primary mode of transportation on bike paths is low light, which alerts other users of the path to my presence without making them blind. I enjoy that I can gaze up into the desert sky while I'm stopped and see the stars, even in complete darkness, in addition to whatever that might be on the trail. My newest preferred light!

The lights' build quality and the manner they were protected and enclosed in a strong, transparent plastic molding really impressed me. Weave the casing in and out of each spoke for the best results while turning on the lights. I discovered that the case stays better in place if you twist around every second spoke. A zip tie was then placed to every fourth spoke. In this manner, each pair of spokes is supported. In that case, the casing won't descend to the tire's center. For my bike, I now use three sets! One set for the frame and one for each tire! Simply attach the frame's battery at the very bottom of the frame. The instructional film was a huge assistance, in my opinion. I might have had some trouble putting on the Activ Lites if there had only been paper instructions. The movie provides excellent step-by-step instructions and a flawless demonstration of how to turn on the lights.Personally, I enjoy the lights. I detest having one flashing light on the front of my bike and one on the back when I'm riding home at night. I have amazing-looking wheels and can drive securely in the dark thanks to Activ Lites. I am confident that I would desire Activ Lites if I saw someone wearing them. One of the few issues I have with the product is that I believe the portion of it that holds the batteries might be a little bit more secure. The on/off switch, in my opinion, could be a little easier to reach, but when you think about it, there isn't really a more secure, effective, or safe location. There is no way that these won't slide down the spokes, I thought as I began to wrap the lights around the spokes. They truly do work extremely well! They stay put perfectly if you put them on tightly enough, and I think that's fantastic!Overall, I believe Activ Lites to be a fantastic product, and I wholeheartedly endorse them!

UPDATE 3 MONTHS LATER:After three months of intermittent use, it is still going strong. The batteries have not yet needed to be changed. The small clip on these lights isn't particularly sturdy, which is a warning. If you put it somewhere that will be moving around a lot, it will be simple to remove. Perhaps this explains why there are two in the box. My dog's harness has it attached to the top, and it stays there, but I'm not sure if it would be as secure if it hung from his collar.ORIGINAL REVIEW: I purchased this to replace a Nite Ize Spotlit because it never seemed to work well, and so far, it seems to be a fantastic replacement. Although it is a little bigger than the Nite Ize, it is still lightweight and tiny enough to easily clip onto my dog's harness. It comes with extra batteries, velcro straps, and attaches using the clip on the rear. There are TWO lights in this box. On dark winter afternoons, lights are strong enough to make my dog visible in the dark from a good distance, which is crucial at night. My dog is entirely invisible in the video, which was shot in complete darkness from a distance of roughly 15 to 20 feet, yet that tiny green light is apparent.This light is fantastic thus far. Remember to take it off on rainy days since I doubt it is waterproof, but other than that, it seems like a good buy.

I purchased this item to use a GoPro mount to attach a light to my helmet. I am very happy with the purchase and it works flawlessly with the mounts I had. The track fitting into the lamp was a touch tight the first time I used it, but this problem can easily fixed with a file or continued use. It appeared to function flawlessly after being slid in and out repeatedly for 10 seconds. The system has so far stood up with all of the bumps and rattling on the trial, which is what I use it for primarily when mountain biking at night. Throughout my ride, the light stays in place and doesn't move. If you're searching for a means to attach a NiteRider light to a helmet, I highly recommend this.

ADVANCED POST! For the sake of consistency, I stuck with my initial reaction to Amazon, this company, and its product. All three deserve praise. I haven't encountered any of the complaints that other people have raised, and the product is just as stated. I enjoy the increased visibility the lights offer over my head and tail lamps. The lights are light and motion sensitive; they don't shine in bright enough daylight, conserving battery life. The battery life isn't amazing, but I do a lot of my riding at night, which undoubtedly shortens the battery life.DAWAY provided excellent customer service and care. Given that this item costs $11, DAWAY could have easily dismissed my worries, pocketed my money, and been unconcerned with my post or attitude. This wasn't the situation. DAWAY showed a great deal of concern and checked on my satisfaction. Even DAWAY changed the way it advertised on Amazon to let users know that lights are sold alone. I endorse both this business and its product. When they run out, I'll purchase new ones.In the image, there are TWO tires with lights. LIGHTS is referred to in the description as TWO, not ONE. Had I known, I would have gone with another product that is about the same but comes with two lights. THIS IS FRAUDULENT ADVERTISEMENT. What are you going to do about it, Amazon?
