05/16/19This will probably be lengthy because I think reviews should be as comprehensive as possible for the benefit of both the business and its clientele. Being someone who can't wait to open anything I order (I'm literally like a kid in a candy store), I received my DKO magnetic pistol holder today. The fact that double-sided 3M tape was given, preventing the need to drill into the interior of your car, in my opinion, is the product's major selling feature. However, the magnet and tape were in the car with my firearm when I sketched it. I immediately emailed the business. Within 48 hours (which, let's face it, is quite quick these days), they responded to me with a solution and a plan of action for repair. They wanted to ensure that I was completely satisfied. I am at this point. Without having to spend the time and postage to supply new tape, I think they would serve their customers much better if they switched from using 3M to a stronger adhesive. In summary, I am very happy with my purchase and would unquestionably suggest this company and product to anyone!

As a hobbyist precision shooter, I like to incorporate as much human interaction as possible because controlling mount, breathing, flinching, etc. all affect how well the shot turns out. However, a rifle rest is an excellent idea for creating the most regulated and consistent shot-to-shot environment, getting a scope as close to absolute zero as possible, or determining which specific round your rifle prefers. why I enjoy this one. This is it:1. The pricing ranges are excellent. Had to have a sled on hand for what I mentioned above but didn't want to invest much more for such infrequent use.2. I enjoy Caldwell products. Their equipment and parts seem to be of good quality and a fair price.3. Longer magazines can be placed in the rest thanks to the split bar sled. This can be a concern for users of rests that work excellent for bolt actions but not so well for AR15 or AR10, if you compare it to a lot of other options.4. The wide front feet provide a very strong and robust foundation for the rest. It's not as light and jittery as I initially thought it would be. This rest manages the recoil from my fairly hefty AR308 that is set up for long-range shooting quite nicely.5. The knobs can be adjusted extremely well. Once positioned where you desire, it is also strong and holds well.6. Although it isn't a gun vice strictly speaking, it works very well when you require a third hand for armory work. It's convenient to have on hand when fiddling with scope mounting, adjusting rings, etc.Overall, this product is perfect for the irregularity with which I require or utilize a rest. It is made of top-notch, durable material. simple to assemble lightweight and portable performs as promised. And I think it's worth the cost.

Why in the world did I think that? I struggled for years to "zero in" my rifles, wasting a ton of ammo in the process. Then, after deciding that the Caldwell "Solo" would be suitable for my new AR, I ordered it for less than $50. What a difference, only 3 rounds needed to zero the scope! I went to zero with 3 rifles (an AR, a 1022, and a Mini-14) and finished in 30 minutes. It was too simple. This rest was SOLID, took only 10 minutes to put together, and arrived in 3 days. I wonder what I was thinking all those years.Here are a few pointers. You can definitely level your rest using a torpedo level because the bench won't be perfectly level. You can also examine the level of your scope.Get yourself a 4' 2X4 and a few large C clamps to hold the sled still instead of carrying around 25 lbs. of shot. The 2X4 should be laid over the sled's front legs and clamped in place on either side. That Sled is not moving at all!Other than that, none of my stocks or butts fit. No issue. I cut a 24" strip of leftover underlayment from new laminate flooring to wrap around the rifle butt and jam it into the sled. That weapon is not moving at all!I'm telling you, this sled is a high-quality product created in America by a terrific company. Anyone who is serious (and perhaps even fanatical) about having their weapons focused on "absolute center" should consider this. If I miss a shot now Since I'm at fault, I can't point the finger at "the darn gun." purchase this rest You'll enjoy it!

I received this early last week, assembled it, and took it to the range the following day. I timed the process of assembly, which took me 43 minutes, unwrapping the parts included. Additionally, I wasted approximately five minutes trying to find the screw that holds the front cradle of the ram in place. Evidently, the #!!@# who packaged this forgot to include it, but thankfully, I have 6 mm screws in my shop to complete the task. I therefore found the "missing" screw was already threaded into the ram as I was about to check to make sure my screw was the proper size and length. Remove it, attach the cradle, and screw it back into place. I apologize sincerely to the kind individual who packed this. Each component was present. Easy to assemble. To give yourself room to work, run the ram all the way up to the top and fasten the top of the front cradle. It can be difficult to start those screws. To make it simpler, use one of the provided hex wrenches or a screwdriver to keep the clamp in place while you thread the screws. After completing this step, I flipped the remaining material over.How does it function? really well In fact, a few weeks prior, when aiding someone with sighting in his rifle, I had actually used another one at the range. That, I suppose, was what ultimately convinced me to get one. I was checking the sight in of an antique (and, sadly, now out-of-date) as the Lead Sled was very hefty. It's a low recoiling rifle, the 225 Winchester, and I didn't need any more weights and probably won't for bigger rifles too. The changes were smooth and backlash-free in my opinion. I did typically need to readjust it a little bit between shots, but I've never used a bench rest that didn't need to be adjusted at all. Setting the crosshairs accurately on the target was quite simple, and they remained there as I moved into my final shooting position. It will maintain the rifle stable after a little sight-in adjustment at 200 yards, as I was able to hit a 4-inch gong with my last two shots at 300 meters (330 yards). Even when lifted, I didn't sway in the front cradle. The Caldwell website discusses this and claims that the issue was fixed in an older version. When I originally put it together, I did note that I needed to gently push the ram down when it was close to the bottom, but I did not experience that issue when I put the weight of a rifle in it. There is a large recoil absorbing pad in the rear cradle, which essentially makes for a much longer length of pull and I had difficulty getting my eye close enough to get a full image in this scope. I did lube it and had no issues at all when I brought it to the range even without a rife in it.Finally, I used it to clean my gun. The way it's made, all of my rifles are secure in it, which isn't the case with other rests I own or have had. One of the reasons I purchased it was because it wasn't significantly more expensive than other of the plastic vises available. With the rubber hold down strap, I was not interested. I predict that it won't be much use to most people. All of my weapons, including varmint rifles with wide, flat forends, were positioned so that the strap would be above the rifle by setting them below the top of the front cradle. With any bench rest, I grip the rifle with my left hand.Yes, it is made in China, but it is well-crafted and constructed entirely of steel. Another factor that led me to purchase it was the option to change the separation between the front and back cradles.

AWESOME....AWESOME......AWESOME!!!!!! For one of my vehicles (a 2013 Outback), I considered MANY alternative gun mounts, but I am confident that I just couldn't do ANY better than this gun mount. incredibly simple to install. (Just so you know, I mounted the cannon with the gun held vertically under and close to my steering column and added commercial strength two-sided tape to the under belly of the magnet to provide even more stability.) I'm very ecstatic about the Keeper Magnetic Gun Mount! It doesn't matter which of the "many" weapons I own because the magnetic mount holds them precisely; there is no need to have a holster for each one. I was considering other mounts that held holsters, but they lack the adaptability of the magnetic mount. Anyway, this mount MORE than fulfills my needs, and I WILL purchase a few more for use in my other vehicles and at home. Thank you Keeper for creating such a fantastic product!

For elk season, there were 3 of us who shared my truck. I reasoned that this would be a good place to keep our guns when traveling to and from camp. And so it was. If the center rifle's direction was reversed, the weapons did not bump or touch each other. These are not made with a sturdy build, but nothing broke. They came with bungees, but they were too short, and the ends split. Other bungees should be kept on hand in case the issue recurs.

I'll compare and contrast this Lead Sled 3 (LS3) with the Lead Sled DFT 2 (DFT2) as follows:The simplicity of the LS3 is where it really excels. It is a more manageable, compact unit. It is somewhat less customizable than the DFT2, but it is also simpler to use. The LS3 is an incredibly straightforward system that performs admirably.It's excellent that the LS3 can employ basic, reliable 25-pound barbell plates. No more spilled shots or similar catastrophes, but be careful not to step on the plates (I'm just sayin'). That is really one of the LS3's characteristics that I like the most.The DFT2 offers diversity and options in place of the LS3's simplicity. You may tweak and move that shot right to the center with the DFT2 almost in every way without ever having to unfasten the rifle's strap from the sled (the LS3 has no strap).Greater in size than the LS3 is the DFT2. Lead sacks are also utilized as weight. The lead sacks may not be as straightforward as the iron barbell weights, but when you drop them, that's when they really shine. If you drop a 25-pound steel disk on your foot instead of a lead bag, your foot will break one or more toes.Both lead sleds are well-made and perform admirably. I'm quite pleased with the LS3's simplicity. The DFT2's flexibility made my friend, a long-range shooter, extremely happy.Both choices are excellent. Choose either simplicity or adaptability.

The magnet is fantastic and very powerful. Not so much the 3M adhesive tape! The first one I placed in my vehicle was where I discovered my gun and magnet the following morning. I suppose I'll have to drill holes in my car and utilize the screws (not something I really wanted to do). At work, I mounted one there as well, and it worked just well. Before using the adhesove, I did use alcohol wipes to clean all the surfaces. That one might not stick because of the intense heat or cold outside, in my opinion. It's a terrific product overall, however the adhesive prevents me from giving it a perfect score. Will likely purchase more for the house!UPDATE: The glue underneath the desk also failed. BooHiss. I suppose I'll also use the mounting screws there.If you purchase this item, just don't rely on the tape to function. But it's a terrific magnet!

It serves its purpose for what it is. Yes, it has a somewhat cheap feel to it, but if you place a 5 lb sandbag in the middle of the base, it becomes really solid. It can be disassembled for only pistols, which I enjoy, but I don't often do it. My AR-15 doesn't like to seat nicely on the front fork, which is my only gripe about the rest. Even if I crank it all the way up, if I merely lay the barrel in the fork, I'm aiming too low. I then fold a hand towel and place it inside the fork, resting my barrel on the towel to address the matter. I also tried placing the quad rail on the fork, but it still didn't fit properly, so I reach for the towel. My AR collapsible stock doesn't work properly with the rear fork either. Another towel is required once again. It does work once I get everything in place.I needed to add the towels to steady the gun, which is why I gave it four instead of five stars. This rest would easily receive a five-star rating if Caldwell provided some other size fork inserts, or at the very least made them accessible for purchase.Overall, I'm content with the Matrix.

The glue that was provided with them is the only reason I docked a rating. I had read that it wasn't good, and after one day of the current heat wave, it had indeed fallen to the ground. I tried thoroughly cleaning the area first, but it didn't work. I mounted it using an outside command strip, and so far it has worked perfectly, even when I pull on it.In my 2017 Subaru Legacy, I mounted this next to my calf/shin region.
