These are fantastic little power sources for anything that only requires a small amount of 6V power (especially given their size and price). For me, each is simply powering a red LED that blinks in the dark to warn people away from various hazards (not a very demanding application). If you attach some velcro to the case's rear, you may attach a "blinky light" wherever it is required.Only one tiny issue prevents me from awarding this five stars: it appears that these were manufactured in a hurry because roughly one-fourth of them still had strange plastic flashing attached to the box. It's possible that I have high expectations for a cheap battery box, but I would have preferred to avoid having to spend time using a razor to clean up the items so they appear acceptable.

Very durable! Since it was so cheap, I replaced the lead in the stud finder. THE ONLY FACTOR TO CONSIDER IS THE HEIGHT OF THE SNAP; IN A TIGHTER CLOSURE THAN I HAD, YOU MIGHT NOT FIT IT. However, considering the price (great! ), these are still useful to have on hand if you're the maintenance guy, as many of us are, as many items require 9 volt batteries.

I keep these types of cases and batteries in my backpack, pickup, Dobb kit, briefcase, etc. I prefer these cases over others because they are clear, allowing me to see what is inside, and even though they are not water or dust proof, they offer a great deal of protection for the batteries and the items they are stored with in case the batteries corrode. These boxes can accommodate 4 AA batteries firmly and 4 AAA cells flimsily. If the AAA batteries are rattling, simply place a tiny pad inside the box to stop them from doing so (PLEASE DO NOT USE STEEL WOOLF, TIN FOIL, OR ANYTHING CONDUCTIVE!) They are fairly substantial even though they are not the strongest possible. The boxes can be clipped together; I was unaware of this when I made my purchase; two sets of three are shown in the photo doing so. The casings take up almost no extra room, which was another feature I loved about them. They are just slightly larger than 4 AA batteries. Now I have to go back and see if I can find 9V and D cell situations that are comparable.

Great results! I bought this to use in conjunction with a Wireless Remote Receiver set so I could control my Halloween decorations remotely. Even though Halloween isn't here yet, things are going well. This satisfies my needs exactly. While the batteries are snugly in place, they can be taken out without chipping a fingernail. Little tabs on the lid keep it locked securely, but they also make it simple to open when necessary. The lid can be closed even more firmly using a screw (not provided). The power plug is exactly as promised (5.5mm on the exterior, 2.1mm on the interior), and it produces the anticipated voltage. Working on/off switch.
