It's my second time purchasing this kit (or at least one with the same exact parts). The parts are excellent. The vehicle ate the AC drive belt, so I did mine for the first time chewed 220k miles because I was already in that much trouble. The only reason I'm having to buy it this time is because my technician used garbage from a parts store to replace the timing belt and water pump on my JDM 5VZ FE. It had been leaking covertly for an unknown period of time, but I only discovered it after traveling 50,000 miles because the coolant loss had caused me to become overheated. Never utilize parts that are that labor-intensive to change, cheap, and badly built. To top it all off, I probably spent more money on the junk from the parts store that I didn't realize I was buying until after the work was completed than on OE parts from Amazon.Unfortunately, the reason this review only has four stars is that the water pump gasket I received was deformed.Although I am aware that after being straightened out, this shouldn't effect how it functions, that component is the only reason I am purchasing the kit this time, and it arrived less than ideal. The gasket only needed to be bent because they positioned it on the side of the box with the bearings rather than storing it flat under the water pump. When packing many things in one box, UPS probably wasn't very careful handling the box, but that should always be taken into consideration as a possibility.

Really, OEM is the best option. Toyota's supplier is Aisin. a few pointers for DIYers in addition to the excellent web tutorials.- Without an impact wrench, I wouldn't attempt this. For the project, I purchased one, and I'm glad I did. It saved me on several occasions.-Removing the engine pulley can be difficult. When the bolt first became stuck, an impact wrench was unable to free it, so I tried the starting bump technique, which involves bracing a wrench against the car's frame and quickly hitting the starter. Still stuck, I moved the wrench back from the brace point so the starter could attempt to remove the bolt, which succeeded in doing so. The pulley was still stuck, which was the next issue. In the end, I created a puller using three holes in an aluminum plate. The pulley's threaded portion is secured by the exterior two bolts. The middle one was tapped so that I could force the pulley off with a bolt that I drove into the shaft.On these vehicles, the water pump's flange extends partially behind the back of the plate to which the cover is attached. I had to use a vice grip to remove the two long studs sticking out of it in order to remove it in addition to the bolts and nuts holding it in place. Then, while holding the wheel from turning, use an impact to remove the cam pulley nearest to you. The more back-plate bolts you can accessibly remove, the more space the back plate will have, allowing you to deftly smuggle the water pump out from behind it. Put the cam wheel back on by striking it and then lifting it up with your hand.- This kit is great since it has a tensioner that is "loaded" and requires only that you pull out the pin. worth the additional cost.This one is a little tough, so good luck.

I took it to the dealership for a timing belt and water pump replacement at 100K miles (I know, don't shoot me). This kit will save you a lot of money for just $170 and a day's worth of work from me (or you).I'm one of those individuals that prefers to use genuine Toyota parts while avoiding paying Toyota dealer rates. I looked up a lot of websites that sold Toyota OEM parts, and the best deal I could find for everything in this kit individually was around $400. This price is excellent—no, fantastic—for everything you need to complete this service.The water pump is Aisin (also used by Toyota), the hydraulic tensioner is NTN (also used by Toyota), the timing belt is Mitsuboshi, and the bearings are both Koyo-branded (also used by Toyota). Except for the square gasket that fits to the top of the water pump, everything in the image is included. Since the Toyota manual recommends using FIPG (Form In Place Gasket) for this seal, I'll be completely honest and say I had no idea this gasket even existed. These boots came in exactly the same condition as seen in the photos. Very high quality and packaging. I adore the up-the-calf zipper fastening since it makes putting them on so simple. I bought these to go with my industrial-inspired Halloween costume, but they are so sassy and stylish that I will wear them for longer than just one evening! When I walk in these, there is undoubtedly a small creaking, "new" patent leather sound, but I can live with that. In shoes, I usually wear a size 9, but I decided to get a size 10 on a whim, and they fit well! Size 9 would be too small for me to buy.

This was purchased for my 2012 Chevy Cruze. Installation was rather simple, and I'd suggest purchasing the inexpensive timing gear lock tool kit. The tensioner was a little unusual and I had to drill a hole for the locking tool. Since I installed, I've put in roughly 14k miles with no troubles. Anyone else working on this job should be aware that, unlike with some other vehicles, the timing belt cannot be changed without removing the water pump. With the exception of the tensioner, every component was the same as the original factory parts.

Just enough to prevent me from starting the screw (about 0.05"/1.25 mm). The lower hole was ultimately drilled a little wider, and it bolted up perfectly.

You should be aware that this water pump's bottom right bolt hole is thicker than the OEM version. It's possible that the 10mm bolt used to fasten this to the aluminum block is too short, in which case the necessary tension may not be possible. A somewhat longer bolt had to be purchased. Apart than that, it arrived with nice instructions, seals, and tread lock. even included a gap guard that had been pre-measured to shield the belt from the belt guides. So far, 3000 kilometers, and everything appears fine. the 2006 Subaru 2,5L Impreza that it was used on
