Dorman 05113 Spindle Lock Nut Kit Review:

The Dorman Spindle Lock Nut does exactly what it says on the tin: it secures the spindle nut. There is only the Lock Nut in the packaging, so I'm not sure why the product description refers to it as a "Kit."The Dorman Nut features an internal "lock" that is incorporated into the nut, unlike the factory nut, which has a "retainer" that holds the nut in place. No retainer is required. To remove/tighten the spindle nuts, you will require a 1/2" x 36mm impact socket.(TEKTON 4936 1/2-Inch Drive by 36 mm Deep Impact Socket, - (purchased from Amazon))Spindle nuts require a torque of between 225 and 250 ft/lbs.Retorque both spindle nuts after 1,000 miles of driving for best results.

Makita 193048-0 5/8-Inch Lock Nut Review:

There isn't much to say about a small part that connects a sanding disk or polishing bonnet to the Makita edge grinder unit; it is well-machined (as you'd expect from a top-tier power tool manufacturer) and the locking system works well (you do need the "special" wrench that comes with the Edge Grinder because there are only a few holes around the disk that the wrench fits into, instead of a screwdriver slot). My only complaints are with the price and inclusion. The price seems expensive for something this simple and easily created, but I suppose that's because you can't just rush to the hardware shop and improvise a replacement. Additionally, it ought to have come with the rubber sanding disk attachment but doesn't. It must be purchased separately.

CE Smith Trailer Nut 1" Washers & Cotter Pins Spindle Review:

One nut, washer, and pin cost $7.99 at the nearby Tractor Supply. I purchased this DOUBLE SET from CE Smith for 8 bones and change. Like the kings of boat trailers, CE Smith. Outstanding bargain for a great product.

Braudel Unique & Safer M-LOK Metric Camming T-Nut Replacement Set with Thread Locking Screws, Wrench and Nuts, Hardware for All M-LOK Rail Systems (10 x Screws, 10 x Nuts and 1xWrench) Review:

Sadly, when compared to Magpul and BCM screws, these are too short. I lost several and purchased these in the hopes that they would last long enough to replace. I had to guess, but my guess was incorrect. a return and a refund. However, when tested, the screws did not cross thread readily and were of great quality. 4 stars for the good goods and the complimentary sticker!

Dorman 04983 Spindle Lock Nut Kit Review:

My 2012 Jeep Patriot will work with this kit for both the front and back hubs, despite the website's warning that it does not suit Jeep Patriots model years 2011 and later. The nut is the same exterior diameter and thread pattern as the OEM, but it is taller, so I had to grind some of the height down to match the OEM; you may or may not have to do that. The cotter pin was also too big, but because they are inexpensive, you may simply choose the next size smaller. To add a cotter pin and grind down a nut, purchase this kit instead of doing so separately.

Dorman 618-102 Spindle Dust Cap - 2-3/32 In. Diameter, Pack of 5 Review:

For my HHR, I wanted a retro aesthetic. I replaced the OEM steel wheels' lug nuts and removed the plastic hub caps before adding trim rings. I purchased these to hide the unsightly rusty components that are visible when using steel wheels. I used a caliper to measure the spindle wells' inner diameter and decided that the 2-3/32 would work. Additionally, I read that GM uses this size. These were significantly too tiny. I cut grooves into the rear of them using my rotary tool to make them functional. The flange was then expanded using a vice. Very well done. and they now look fantastic. They appear to be really stable and won't budge.
