The six ignition coils came in a new, attractive box. When the parts store only sells one ignition coil for more than that amount, $35 for 6 is a great deal! After replacing the spark plugs in my 2005 Ford Escape V6 3.0, I replaced all six. I experienced a misfire on second cylinder P0302 code. Car was guzzling fuel like it was going out of style, barely had any power, and was backfiring into the air intake. I replaced my coils with Accel units four years ago, believing they would be the best and last a LONG time. I experienced hesitancy and diagnostic codes a few weeks ago, which indicated that I was experiencing troubles once more. One replacement for the Accel unit could be found, and it cost $43. You can probably guess which path I went as I found the full set for only $64. I'm glad I did because they are essentially identical, the fit and workmanship on these is on par with the expensive units, and after installation, my truck now runs fantastic once more at a fraction of what it would have cost to pay for a name.Also, two of my old coils were completely destroyed, and the others had severe corrosion. Your best option is to replace all of the coils at the expense of this set rather than attempting to identify a defective coil by swapping, etc., particularly with a truck like the Expedition where accessing some of the coils requires a lot of effort.

Perfectly functional on my F150. The inside of the plug wires is flat, making it a little more difficult to snap them in, as opposed to the Motorcraft ones, which are cone-shaped and guide the plug wire into the hole. I had one that was particularly difficult to line up, but once it was, everything worked well. Fantastic pricing and they perform as expected. My engine's minor stutter has been fixed, and it now runs smoothly and great. My biggest issue was a minor slope since at highway speeds the vehicle would lag a little and feel underpowered. Runs fine right now and has power again.

This coil set was purchased for my 2001 Ford E-150 5.4. I used a set of Motorcraft OEM spark plugs with them. After installing them, I travelled (1100 miles) from Iowa to North Carolina with no problems.If you have previously purchased these coils from your neighbourhood shops, you are aware that a set of 8 pieces will cost you $200, and that Motorcraft coils will cost you $50 each.The whole set, which cost $70, has so far performed well. I hope they endure.

My Altima started misfiring. The "Service Engine Soon" light soon after turned on. I assumed a spark plug or an ignition coil was the most likely culprit. But who can say? I checked the code with the OBD II scanner that I got from Amazon.com. Thankfully, it displayed code P0304, misfire in cylinder #4, as opposed to my fear that it might display a "Random Misfire" code. I switched cylinders 3 and 4's coils, erased the code, and then rescanned. It was confirmed that the code was P0303. Now, cylinder #3 was the location of the misfire. defective ignition coil. I gambled and bought this 4 pack. Why not, given that it costs half as much as a single OE coil. When I installed the replacement coil, the car started right up and idled without any issues. wiped the codes clean and then took a ride. Normally, the automobile operated. zero codes After a month, the automobile is still running smoothly. I don't know how long these will endure, but the same could be said of the OE component. In a few months, I'll revise this evaluation. I'm hoping it'll still be good. However, as of now, I'm extremely pleased with this buy.

After my 2002 TrailBlazer's check engine light illuminated, I purchased these. I visited the nearby Advanced Auto Parts since I believed I just had one defective ignition coil. I required several coils, as I learned after changing it. The one I purchased from Advanced was also an aftermarket coil and cost around $55. Not wanting to spend more than $300 for six of these, I searched Amazon and discovered these. Like everyone else, I assumed that if it seemed too good to be true, it probably was. I'm pleased I gave these a try because I figured that, worst case scenario, I could return them if they were rubbish. This was untrue; they are AMAZING. For only $10 more, I had these delivered overnight to my house, where I installed them the next morning. Although this is not a Delco/Delphi OEM component, there was absolutely no visual or weight difference between it and the aftermarket part I purchased from Advanced. I'm positive that was the same one. It required several tries to get these properly installed in my car (I have had similar issues with the OEM ones just because of the engine design). After I installed these and new spark plugs, my truck was operating rather well. But I was startled when I got my next fill-up. My car is operating better than it has in years now, therefore I must have had some terrible gas. And for those reviewers who claimed to have received some faulty units, check sure it is properly positioned.

A week or two later, the minor misfire that had been present in 2004 Mazda 3s had changed to a not-so-slight misfire. Oil was discovered in plug wells 2 and 3, and I changed the valve cover gasket (get the FelPro better design!). That halted the oil leak but did not stop the misfire, so I moved on to the plugs. Fortunately, I got a great deal because two NKG ITR6F13 plugs typically cost more than this set of coils. I choose to attempt these after that failed to resolve the problem.These are significantly less expensive than I have seen anyplace else for these kind of coils, so I was a little hesitant, but they worked. Since this all began at about 160k miles and I don't have any records of coil changes, it was definitely past due for some new ones. As I mentioned, they are very inexpensive, but because they appear to be made of the same materials and structure as the coils I extracted, I'm not too concerned. I've put approximately 3000 miles on them already with no problems, and if they break, you can just buy another pair and replace them.In addition, I'm getting 33-35 mpg now as opposed to the 28-30 mpg I used to receive. I'm not sure if it was the new plugs, the coils, or both. If there are any difficulties with durability, I'll update, but so far, these deserve a big thumbs up from me!

These are what I ordered for my son's 2005 F-150. You guys understand what I'm talking about when I say it has the 5.4 Triton with the tick. These Brave coil packs were neatly wrapped in a box and arrived on time. Each coil pack has its own place to lay in a molded tray. They were covered in a layer of foam to protect them during transport. They seemed quite sturdy and well-made when I first took them out of the shipping box, especially when compared to the factory ones that came out of the truck. Heavy-duty and well-made boots that connect the coils to the spark plugs slipped over the tops of the plugs with a distinct click when they were seated on the plug.The 5.4 tick has disappeared since switching to these coil packs and replacing the plugs.Anyone who has to replace their coil packs should consider these, as they look to be a solid product and come with a 2-year no-hassle replacement warranty.
