A fuel pressure regulator is responsible for maintaining the correct fuel pressure in the fuel system. If it gets clogged, it can cause the fuel pressure to drop, which can lead to engine performance problems.
If you have a turbocharged or supercharged engine, you will need a boost reference fuel pressure regulator. This is because these engines require more fuel pressure to operate properly. Boost reference fuel pressure regulators are designed to maintain a constant fuel pressure under boost, so that your engine gets the proper amount of fuel.
If you have an electronic fuel injection system, you will need a fuel pressure regulator. This regulator is responsible for maintaining the correct fuel pressure in the fuel injectors. Without it, your engine will not run properly.

Diesel Fuel Regulator for CP3 Injection Pump
$234
I turned this on while hurling components at my truck in an effort to fix a code that was being thrown whenever I made a sharp acceleration or deceleration. Although the relief valve wasn't fixed, I haven't experienced any issues as a result. I see it as having a new one on before it really required one.

used on the 350 jimmy engine in 1987. Wow! New fuel injectors, an ac delco 219-607 entire gasket kit for the tbi, the tbs 10201 injector spacer, a thorough tune-up, and dual exhaust systems combined! rapid start in any condition, greatly increased throttle response, and 15 mpg (up from 12). The vintage Jimmy runs and starts like a brand-new truck. The old vehicle can now scoot the boot once more at 4400 pounds curb weight! highly suggested, and installation of all the aforementioned components is simple.

Kit Includes PPE Viton O-Ring 1137073001
The PPE Race Fuel Valve (heat treated stainless steel construction) replaces stock or a shimmed pressure relief valve.
This valve helps maintain fuel rail pressure during high engine load conditions by completely blocking the pressure relief port (effectively eliminating fuel return to the fuel tank). It eliminates potential low fuel rail pressure DTC codes P1093 or P0087 (low fuel rail pressure during power enrichment) that are caused by insufficient PRV spring pressure.

a 2006 Chevy Silverado 2500HD Duramax with the installation. PPE provides an excellent product. Installation took only a few minutes. To 75 ft lbs, tighten. As I've heard of people taking off the stock valve upon removal, make sure your engine is cold. Next to the PPE plug, I have attached my OEM component. My truck ran horribly while towing my fifth wheel trailer (28FT) and 7400 pounds empty, so I changed out the stock valve. The truck had no power, so hopefully the issue was with the fuel rail pressure. Otherwise, I'm starting over. After installation, remember to prime your fuel system.

2002 F250 with 7.3 mils on it. Truck would run for about 14 minutes before shutting down and not starting again until the oil had cooled. I started to build up pressure, but the valve would not open to let the excess pressure out, causing it to shut off. Took around 10 minutes to switch out the parts, idled for 25 minutes, shut off and restarted right away, was driven for a test drive, and then it was time to call it a night. The next day, I made a 150-mile round journey to pick up a 16k-lb fifth wheel, and I haven't looked back.

Had an issue with my Dmax entering limp mode and throwing the p1093 code for low fuel rail pressure. It turned out to be the fuel pressure relief valve (end of fuel rail, driver's side fire wall), and this was the ideal fix rather than paying two huge bucks on the OEM replacement. Because the valve was stuck in the rail and required us to pull the rail, what should have been a two-hour vehicle task took all day. It was easily removed with a vise and some heat. Watch out for this widespread issue, and if you're not careful, thread fragments can get left behind. Before tackling the FPRV, you should also replace your fuel filter and any outdated rubber hoses from the filter to the engine. A p1093 error can be caused by a filthy filter and collapsed hoses, but not in my case. In most circumstances, probably not.

equivalent to the original in every way. similar in size. the same design. costing a third of what comparable products on the market do. It merely filters the fuel and keeps the pressure on it as it travels from the fuel pump to the injectors. By eliminating this pressure loss, you can guarantee that the car will start quickly since the fuel injectors will be pressurized, reducing the need for long cranking times. particularly if the car has been parked for a while. Simple to replace where it mounts on the fuel pump. To install the new one, pry it out and apply pressure firmly. All that is necessary is the fact that it works. Would buy again if necessary. The primary factor is the component's low price. Why would you want to pay someone else more than $75.00?

Good looks and functionality... However, several things weren't explained. All fittings should be taken out, with the exception of the vacuum, and sealed. On the component that attaches to the fuel rail, use sealant and the factory oring as well. It will leak if you don't. Up until I sealed them, every fitting leaked. Additionally, change the clamps that came with the kit because they will easily strip.Use the Alan wrench that is part of the package to adjust it as well. To do so, first use a 9/16- or 14mm-inch wrench to loosen the nut on the bolt. To increase pressure, turn to the right; to decrease pressure, to the left.YouTube is full of installation videos. The suggested pressure will differ because my car is a 1997 Civic LX with a 1.6L SOHC engine. It's about 35 psi in mine. Others are around 40 psi, so you'll need to fiddle with it to get the pressure you need. Overall, it's a terrible addition to the automobile. Excellent value for the money...

Functions as intended
There are a few factors to consider when choosing a pressure regulator. The first is the maximum flow rate that the regulator can handle. The second is the maximum pressure that the regulator can handle. The third is the type of connection that the regulator has. The fourth is the size of the regulator. The fifth is the material that the regulator is made of. The sixth is the price.
If your car is having trouble starting, or the engine is sputtering, it may be time to increase the flow of your fuel injectors. You can do this by cleaning the injectors and replacing the fuel filter.
To test a fuel pressure regulator without a gauge, you will need to connect a test light to the positive and negative terminals on the regulator. With the key in the ON position, the test light should illuminate. If it does not, then the regulator is not working and will need to be replaced.
A fuel injector needs a fuel pressure of around 30-40 psi to work properly. If the fuel pressure is too low, the injector will not be able to spray the fuel properly and the engine will run lean. If the fuel pressure is too high, the injector will spray too much fuel and the engine will run rich.
There are five different types of pressure regulators: spring-loaded, diaphragm-loaded, piston-loaded, solenoid-loaded, and bourdon tube. Each type has its own advantages and disadvantages. Spring-loaded pressure regulators are the most common type. They are simple, reliable, and have a low initial cost. However, they are not as accurate as other types and can be affected by changes in temperature and pressure. Diaphragm-loaded pressure regulators are more accurate than spring-loaded regulators and are not as affected by changes
