Following reviews, I bought this for my 2010 F150 Lariat. Only one speed would be available on my blower fan. My digital display has dual temperature control, and the fan speed appears as bars that are getting taller (like cell phone signal). When I changed the desired fan speed, the bars would move, but the fan would not react.With just a little socket wrench and two 8 mm coarse thread screws removed from beneath the glove box, the original device can be unplugged and a replacement installed, and I'm back in action. The entire installation just took 5 minutes, and I'm sure I saved several hundred bucks because of that.Just be careful not to touch any other wires. My truck's security system must have been slightly unplugged during the process since it locked me out and would not allow me to turn the ignition. It started the first time after I went back under the glove box and pushed all the wires connections together to make sure they were secure.

2013 2.5 VW Beetles are owned by a relative. On maximum A/C, the air conditioner was pumping hot air that was around 80 degrees. In accordance with the company's YouTube video, I used gauges to test the A/C low and high lines. High pressure was at 100 PSI on the low pressure side and little over 50 PSI on the high pressure side (low). The Compressor Control Solenoid Valve was likely the issue based on those measurements. The new solenoid valve cost $150 from the VW dealer. Before investing $550 on a new compressor, I got this solenoid valve from RKXtech on Amazon for roughly $35. Within two days, the RKX component was delivered by Prime. The new RKX solenoid valve was a perfect fit for the Sanden compressor (1K0820808E) (Model # 1621A) in the car. The air conditioner's temperature dropped to 32 degrees after retrieving the old freon, replacing the solenoid valve, vacuuming with a pump (to ensure there was no leak in the system), and recharging with 24 ounces of R134A and roughly 1.5 ounces of PAG 46 oil with dye. At a temperature of 65 degrees Fahrenheit, the new pressure readings were 30 PSI on the low side and 150 PSI on the high side. It's functioning perfectly, with no problems to date. Perfectly timed for the summer's heat. Furthermore, I didn't even need to drop the compressor like in the video or remove the plastic cover from underneath the fender well. Once the lid had been removed, I could easily remove the key ring, remove the old solenoid, and replace it in under five minutes. The compressor was accessible from underneath the bottom cover. If any problems develop in the future, I'll update this review. All is well thus far.

Good product; it fits my car. This may be required if your car has difficulties starting the air conditioner. By using a jack stand designed for tires to raise one side of the car, I was able to replace mine by simply removing my snap ring and prying the old solenoid out. It took a little longer because no one had done it that way before me, so it was somewhat of a learning experience. Before continuing, I made care to retrieve my old freon, and I also made sure to vacuum the AC lines before adding the new freon. You can borrow the vacuum pump from Autozone for nothing in exchange for a security deposit. When installing this solenoid, don't be scared to push firmly; otherwise, your snap ring may not fit snugly.
