This might be your weapon if you need to defend yourself from Black Bart's or other masked intruders. But in all seriousness, I got this rifle to teach a 10-year-old neighbor boy how to shoot because I wanted to teach him. It was really similar to the original, and it shoots remarkably straight and accurately. It's an excellent way to show a novice shooter the correct techniques for sighting, shooting position, target acquisition, and gently pulling the trigger rather than snapping it.I was sad to see that the gun's cocking lever is plastic now, as opposed to the metal one it had when I was a kid, but if that is essential to you, you can get a replacement with a metal handle for less than $8. I don't have any cause for concern with the cocking levers failing after firing a few hundred rounds from the rifle. In essence, after a while, you forget about it. But for a plastic cocking lever, it just doesn't seem right. On the other hand, I have a lot of composite genuine firearms, so perhaps I'm being a little hypocrite.Overall, a fantastic kit for the money. I absolutely wish the rifle was still built in the USA because I would be willing to pay more—up to 50% more—to continue the legacy of American manufacturing rather than importing goods from China. It's in the mid $30 range on Amazon, but the neighborhood Farm Store was selling it for $54 and it was the same kit. I'd wager that traditional gun enthusiasts who have grown up with Daisy brand and who somehow managed not to shoot our eyes out would largely agree with me that they would pay more for the gun to have it made in the USA.Shoots straight, and considering the caliber of the pistol, the sights were respectable. The gun should last if you oil it with gun oil and treat it with some basic respect. This BB gun is used to demonstrate principles or to hit paper targets. It's fantastic for those. For a beginner, it makes a good teaching tool.It's tough to beat for the money. It's just disappointing that yet another American icon is now a Chinese-made item.

Before attaching the scope mounts to the rifle, I disassembled them and cleaned the lenses. I made sure that my crosshairs were as level as possible during installation by using loctite on all hardware threads according to the instructions. However, I'm not sure if this is a major problem because anyone who has used an Etch-a-Sketch is aware of how precise adjustments to your Y and Z axis will get you a good zero.How I "zeroed" the scope that was suppliedAfter mounting the scope, I secured each vertical and lateral adjustment knob by screwing it all the way in.Grab a beer - I then SLOWLY counted each click as I repositioned them to their full, maxed-out positions; there were approximately 420 clicks total. YIKES!!!Find your "CENTER POINT" of reference by halving the number of clicks you made. Open a second beer and then center each knob by counting the individual clicks.You are now prepared to ZERO the.177 beast.I then calculated the "AVERAGE" distance I would be firing from; for my purposes, I'm only really interested in plinking squirrels and birds in my backyard from a distance of approximately 10 to 20 yards.I set up a comfortable prone position with a barrel rest and a semi-soft mat.I don't instruct basic guns positioning online; conduct your own research instead.The scope now indicates that 1 click equals 1/4 inch at 100 yards and 4 clicks equals an inch at 100 yards.I rounded up to 25 yards because my arithmetic is terrible and I'm shooting from 50 feet (16 yards) away.In accordance with this 1/4 conversion, 4 clicks at 25 yards "should" result in 1/4 inch of movement on target; one inch would require 16 clicks of adjustment.Your average shooter will change positions every time they reload and assume the prone position. This is just how it works with the break barrel design, and it can be where some give up because they can't obtain consistent groups. This is one thing that can make zeroing with this rifle a pain.If you are in a stable position before firing, your prone position with a semi-auto weapon doesn't alter significantly.Maybe 50 calories.Open a third beer; patience is your friend at this point. My wife might have been angry, but I made her dinner to soothe the ire! I chose my target to be a palm tree in the backyard so I could see horizontal/lateral hits due to the black bark splitting, and displaying white flesh underneath!Oh my god Be wary of your backstop, such as your neighbor's home, cats, etc.; they are more powerful than one would imagine (if you've never fired pellet before). I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by what I obtained for the price when I opened the box containing the rifle. Maybe it wasn't the cherished Daisy bb gun with nickel plating on all metal and wood that I had in 1938 with pride. But it was really close; the exterior is made of metal and had great wood stock. Even one function that my 1938 er lacked, it possessed. You could check if a BB was ready to fire by looking through a small hole at the top of the gun (pro tip: slap your hand against the exterior of the pistol to firmly place the BB in position and acquire maximum velocity and accuracy). In my 1938er, you could tell by the sound if the bb had gone off or not fed. I've fired the rifle today and I have to say I'm satisfied. The fixed sights were yet another welcome surprise. Offhand gave 2 inch groups around the target's bull at a distance of 10 meters. Because the youngsters could get by with the accuracy above, I didn't perform a bench test ( 8-10 years old, and the reason for this purchase)Although I have not owned the pistol long enough to assess its durability (it has a year warranty), I found it to be pretty solid and there were no initial issues.Without any other qualifications, I give this Daisy a 5-star rating as a child's first gun.When you give your child this Daisy, I predict he will joyfully jump out of his pants.The Armourer

Do you need, want, or enjoy shooting things? Outside critters or targets? This gadget confidently and competently fulfills that need while also having a nice appearance. You can choose to buy a gun that pushes a pellet incredibly quickly and powerfully to/through exactly what you're aiming at and yawns at how simple it did it, or you can do as I did and read reviews on 823 million various pellet guns online while comparing looks, weight, build quality, power, etc. The pellet gun is dense, robust, and realistic-feeling, which will appeal to recreational shooters. It won't do anything to destroy ISIS and doesn't fire high-caliber rounds to impress the local NRA gun collectors. In addition, it looks slick and intimidating with the Ruger label in the black steel reminding you that you're not a girly-man, while swiftly putting out pest birds, mice, and shaken beer cans (or woman). Strong, powerful, and without pretension. This pellet pistol is not a toy, a joke, or anything unexpected. I enjoy that. You'll do it too.

I just got my Daisy 901 yesterday, and I have to express how happy I am. I own a good number of air rifles, and even though the 901 is brand-new, I can state with certainty that it will rank among my favorites. It is sturdy; it doesn't rattle like some plastic-bodied weapons. The pump handle is snug but not stiff, and it fits so perfectly that it seems to be a non-moving component. Pumping is simple and fluid. Additionally, the butt stock is absolutely strong. The barrel is blued, giving the pistol the appearance of being a high-end rimfire weapon. Excellent features include the fiberoptic sight and an adjustable dovetail, which is especially vital to me since I won't be utilizing a scope. To utilize the pistol, I had to spend extra money on a break barrel, throw away the dovetail because it was such rubbish, and purchase a dot sight. I don't mean to pick on a competition in this, but I did.The 901 started off shooting a touch to the left, but after just a few shots, it was dead on. At thirty feet, it was grouping inside a quarter with the open sights. Once it is broken in, I am confident that it will be more accurate than I am capable of using. So far, I've just used Crosman hollow points weighing 7.9 grams and Predator Polymags. The cheaper Crosman's are preferred by the gun.Much better than I had anticipated, the power. Although I lack a chronograph, I can tell how quickly it is firing by the force with which the metal spinners are struck.Since I started using air rifles again, Daisy has become to me like a manufacturer of BB guns. They are now the manufacturer of high-quality pellet guns (with a real rifled barrel). Do yourself a favor and get this gun now instead of wasting time!

They truly got out of bed on the right side of the bed when they created and constructed this SBR. The weight, appearance, and functionality of the AR are incredible. Fantastic features include having the magazine release, safe, semi-auto, and FULL AUTO buttons on the same side as a standard AR.It is fairly accurate when plinking at pop cans or other objects on semi-auto. You may have that can dancing about on FULL AUTO while grinning ear to ear.There is nothing wrong with this SBR, however you do start to wish the magazine had more ammo. Anyone wishing to have a good time should definitely try this.

appears to be one of the most potent, if not the most. Break Barrel for 22 caliber available today. preferably one that is offered at nearby retailers in my region. This afternoon, I just purchased it from Bass Pro Shop. The previous few days have been spent debating which air rifle to buy. The 10 shot magazine was ultimately the selling point for Gamo when it came to the Swarm Series. Simply put, it makes shooting much more pleasant. I adore single-load bolt-action rifles, but I find it quickly tiresome to constantly insert a tiny pellet into a tiny hole. So my options were more limited. I was quite determined. Before I noticed that my neighborhood Bass Pro had the Swarm Magnum in stock, I was just going to get the Swarm Maxxim. I simply had to buy it. Given that the Maxxim was on sale for $179.00, I believe you get a little more value from it, but I didn't want to deal with any buyer's remorse. The Swarm Series' most potent weapon, this one was relatively new because it was just released.Although I don't find it particularly difficult, I can understand how it would be a little challenging for other individuals. Once you locate a decent angle, it helps. Having some momentum also helps. This is a monstrous thing. Just the sound of the pellet zipping through the air makes me laugh. Unquestionably not a toy.Small game doesn't have a chance, in my opinion, from any safe distance. This certainly isn't the best use of $300 if all you want to do is target shoot, lol. But if you want to defeat some minor opponents, or at least have a chance to, then this is what you need.I'm not sure if it was because I had low expectations or what, but I was generally pleased with the scope mine came with. It required some effort to zero it in, but once we did, it was rather wonderful. I found it simple to see through. If I get more serious, I might imagine acquiring a better scope, but I'm not sure.I guess because I don't have high expectations for a pellet gun, I'm really happy with it and will remain so as long as it keeps working as intended. Although the scope and trigger can both be altered, I don't think the ordinary person will find them to be problematic at all. I notice some individuals quibbling over these details. Finding the sweet spot with the scope was simple, and the trigger felt light and smooth. Actually receiving a true 1,000 fps.22 broken barrel is what you pay for. Many people make this claim, yet they don't actually understand the statistics. One of them does.TL:DRThe trigger and scope are frequent grievances. Personally, I don't have a problem with either. The benefits vastly outweigh the drawbacks. It is the strongest 10-shot break barrel available. At the end of the day, you're purchasing it for the 22 available.

Great! I was consistently able to achieve quarter-sized groupings at 100' after being able to sight in the scope. Find a pellet that your rifle prefers by trying out a few different ones. It's Benjamin Hollow Points in my instance. strikes hard, pulls a terrific tripper, and shoots effectively. Other than for aesthetic purposes, "silencer" has uncertain value.

This pistol is clearly going to be poor (in terms of fps and accuracy) given its price, so no one should expect much from it. However, for those who like to play about with it at home or in the garden, it might be entertaining. When you get the hang of it, reloading the gun is easy, but cocking it takes some effort, especially for a $20 handgun. It should be noted that loading the barrel with lots of bbs can cause the gun to rattle when waved around, which could be a little annoying.The slide is made of metal, and the handle is made of hard plastic, in case anyone was curious. However, because it appears to have been put together extremely well, shaking the pistol while it is empty (i.e., without bbs in it) makes almost no sound. Large hands will find it extremely simple to wrap their fingers around the handle because it isn't particularly thick.
