A wetsuit can be too warm if you are not used to the temperature. When you are swimming in a wetsuit, your body temperature will rise and you will start to sweat. If you are not used to this, you may feel too hot and uncomfortable.
Jellyfish stings can be painful, but most stings will not penetrate a wetsuit. The stinger of a jellyfish is a tiny, barbed harpoon that is used to inject venom into its prey. The venom is not poisonous to humans, but it can cause a severe reaction. If you are stung by a jellyfish, you should seek medical attention immediately.
Most people choose to wear a bathing suit or shorts under their wetsuit. This provides a layer of protection between your skin and the wetsuit, and also helps to keep the wetsuit from riding up and exposing your skin to the water.
Vaseline does not protect against jellyfish stings.

This wetsuit is used in real time. It is warm, thick, and does not ride up. This is not like the inexpensive wetsuits you can buy online or the flimsy ones you can obtain at swimming pools. The fact that this one was less expensive than some of the cheap ones we had ordered astounded me. You will stay toasty in this real wetsuit. We bought this for my son since he takes swimming lessons indoors and gets too cold in the pool, and we like to go to the beach in the fall but occasionally the water is too cold. With this wetsuit, we are no longer concerned about the chilly water. This item is a real wetsuit, and we had ordered four different models that were all priced the same. This wetsuit fits according to the measurements. We ordered a medium for our 50 lb child, who is on the thinner side, and it fit with just a tiny bit of room in the middle, where they need it. Most likely, he can wear it for at least a year.

My son had to stop his swim lesson at an outdoor pool after two tries because he was shivering terribly. In the hopes that it will keep him warm and allow him to make it through each lesson, I got this wetsuit in size 6. Although he is six years old, he is tall and thin. He could wear size 5 pants, but they would be too short. He is 44 lbs. and 47" tall. I laboriously searched for hints as to which wetsuit would be suitable for his body type and finally decided on this one. In around two to three days, it came! It doesn't exactly fit securely around his waist, but it's also not really baggy or loose. The arm is the ideal length. Although they may be folded, the legs are too lengthy. It was simple to put on him, and the material felt wonderful. Since it is long, I'm glad he should be able to wear it next year.He wore the wetsuit in the same pool and was comfortable and content. He is the kind of child that generally finds something to complain about, therefore the wetsuit must be really comfortable because he did not do so (no seems rubbing on his skin). Today I'm off to swim lessons!

I adored this outfit. It deserved five stars, but I had to send it back. Since it was said in so many reviews that it fit huge people, I ordered the largest size available (four XL), but it still didn't fit. It was a really excellent wetsuit, so I was very unhappy. I'm 225 lbs. I felt like it should have fit me because I am 5'5". I'm extremely disappointed! and quite happy that my homecoming was welcomed. I do suggest this, but if you weigh more than 200 pounds, be careful—even if the size label reads "extra extra extra large," you might have to send it back. UPDATE!!! Now I see my mistake! Since the women's sizing didn't have extra extra big, I got the men's suit instead so I could obtain it in that size. Therefore, if you're a lady and need an extra-large, this suit is not for you.

Just a quick mention of my experience and credibility. I've been longboarding surfing in Southern California for the past 55 years and have used dozens of wetsuits from all the top brands. Though I'm simple to please, I'm difficult to fit.I recently received my O'Neill 3/2 Reactor 2, and I was really pleased with the materials and how professionally they were put together. Considering that I am neither tall nor slim, I was a little hesitant to get an O'Neill based on past experiences, but I couldn't pass up the chance to give O'Neill another chance to earn my future business at this price (1/3 the cost of my current fullsuit).I resemble a 1950s wrestler at 5-10 and 210 pounds, with a beer-barrel 45" chest and 36" waist. Based on the sizing chart and prior experience with XLS suits being overly constrictive, I ordered an XL suit. The good news is that the suit can be put on and taken off easily thanks to the new super-stretch fabrics. (OK, Wetsox helped a little; they are excellent.) The neck, wrists, and ankles feel highly watertight, and the fit was just right without feeling constricting. In the arms and legs, it was not baggy. It seems to be going smoothly. The bad news is that (1) the neck was fairly snug around my 18" neck and might get unpleasant over time and (2) I needed my wife's laughter to get the zipper starting up. (I've long believed that wetsuits ought to have a tab at the base of the spine that users may grab onto to pull up the zipper. I frequently get one made by a nearby suit repair shop.)I'll put the suit to the "acid test" with a few surf sessions as the water temperatures here start to fall next month. If any inconsistencies are discovered and as it functions, I'll update this review.

Pros: Because it has sufficient stretch, I believe it will last two seasons. I followed the measurements table to determine the size, and it fits perfectly. Despite considerable climbing and sliding on concrete steps and the edge of the pool, it is reasonably thick (especially considering how inexpensive it is) and has remained undamaged for a week of daily use. keeps a skinny child warm for almost an hour in water at 25 C/78 F. (who usually gets blue lips in rash guard in 25C water at about 45min). With a life vest on top, the zipper has a smooth pull and is ykk. Update: water at 22°C kept the child warm for 45 minutes.Cons: Instead of the blue suit we purchased, which had a small "deep dive" logo at the right chest, we got a blue suit with a giant rainbow "natyfly" inscribed across the chest (one star off). Fortunately, my child didn't mind, so we retained it. However, be warned that it might not look exactly as described. There were a few imperfectly aligned or straightened stitches as well, but nothing that compromised the suit's structural integrity or functionality.Overall: I think it's a terrific deal for the price of two rash guards.

Why do you need to wear a wetsuit? - In cold water, wetsuit can keep the body extra warm. The working principle of diving suits is that when water enters the clothes, and then leaves a thin layer of water on the body. Then the body keeps moving to generate heat, heating and keeping the body warm. At the same time, in open water, you can avoid being injured by marine organisms, and avoiding water pollution causing skin sensitivity. The wetsuits provide you a better protection.

My evaluation only addresses sizing; I haven't actually used it yet. I am a 5'7 "I'm a 130-pound male with an athletic, thin (obviously, hehe) body; I'm not just skin and bones. I'm a 29 "waist. I planned to return the small that didn't fit after purchasing both the small and XS. As a point of comparison, the small in several other wet suits I tested was still too big, being particularly baggy across the knees, hips, underarms, and low back. The small in this suit really fits me reasonably well; it is smaller than similar-sized garments from other manufacturers. I only had a very little, barely noticeable amount of looseness in my low back and hips. It was close yet not confining.BUT THE XS fit like a second skin. I only needed about 5 minutes to put it on, which is fantastic for a wet suit. There are no air spaces or free spaces anywhere. Although it felt somewhat constricting and snug around the neck, the medium wet suit is definitely a better fit for me than the small. It should feel looser in the water, in my opinion.Overall, I'm inclined to keep both and wear the more cushy small for dives on days when the water is chilly but not cold (say, 73-78F - okay, I'm a wimp) and the super-tight XS on days when the water is cooler, in the 66-72F range. If the temperature is below 65, you won't find me in the water. I would advise going down at least one size, to the small, if your body type and size are similar to mine. Even though the chart indicates that I should wear a medium, if you are familiar with how a wet suit should fit, you would probably argue that I should wear a small.

UPDATE: I've used this in water that's 60 degrees and air that's 42 degrees. It operates flawlessly; I spent over an hour on the jetski and about 45 minutes in the water. was quite relaxed throughout. Even after multiple occurrences of striking the water at over 30 mph, the suit has so far held up admirably. There are no tears, abrasions, or split seams.used for jet skiing at the Lake of the Ozarks. It was 42 degrees in the water. The water was chilly yet tolerable. The wind was blocked nicely and it functioned perfectly. This will be ideal in the water if you're 55 and over.Over the years, I've owned a lot more expensive suits. This performs similarly to those, but costs less.

I've never published a product review, so I tend to be skeptical when I read them. But following our trip to Surry, Maine and Ogunquit, Maine in June, where the water temperatures ranged from 45 to 55 degrees, I felt compelled to share my thoughts on these wet suits for my 4- and 7-year-old children. First, the size chart is accurate and useful. I bought the suits based on the manufacturer's suggested size. The outfits are well-made and long-lasting. I am astonished by the quality. Most significantly, they accomplish the goals for which they were created. My kids were not cold while swimming in those chilly waters off of Maine. They swam for hours at a time without having blue lips or chattering teeth. The wet suits were terrific and a fantastic idea, according to parents and grandparents at the beach. The heat emanating from their bodies and the interior of the wetsuits when I unzipped them was incredible. Wet suits should allow a thin layer of water to pass between the body and the garment. Your body heat heats the water, which keeps you warm. Excellent product. highly suggestable makes everyone's visit in Maine so much more delightful!

The best outfit is this one! For a trip to the Caribbean island of Grenada, I ordered this suit because none of my other suits fit or were light enough. Because I'm tall, I got the XL to be sure it will fit. I've recently spent six days of diving, and I have nothing but praise for this outfit. It did not bag, it was warm enough, and it stretched just enough to fit comfortably (even in length). The zipper is functioning properly, and all of the stitching is still present after 12 dives, according to a meticulous inspection I performed today. At the price it is being offered at, this is a no-brainer.

Winter has arrived. Need an O'Neil Epic in size 2XLS, for a man 5'11 and 215 pounds.Excellent wetsuit at a terrific price—so good, I bought two of them! One for my son and one for myself... Great for Cold Water (under 50°F)... Uncertain of exactly how much below 50°, but excellent for that range. I chose the 2XL(S) size and it is a wonderful fit because I am 5'11" and weigh around 215 lbs, so I'm neither tall nor small. I don't think it could have fit any better. There was no surf on that day, so it was a nice day to test out these suits by floating around for a bit in Galveston Beach. We couldn't feel the chilly water at all, thus these suits are GREAT, earning a 5 star rating. Great! Back to the wetsuit: excellent fit, awesome quality, awesome comfort, and all-around awesome value for the money! I can already tell I'm going to need some gloves, so I immediately decided on a couple of NP Neoprene Beanies (hard to find with Prime perks included). I would ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND the O'Neil Epic 4/3mm wetsuit to anyone who plans to go scuba diving or surfing in the south during the winter. Excellent purchase!
A 3mm wetsuit is the minimum thickness recommended for winter surfing. A thicker wetsuit will keep you warmer, but a 3mm wetsuit will still provide some warmth and protection from the elements.
A 5mm wetsuit is definitely too thick for swimming. It will make you extremely buoyant and will be very difficult to move through the water. It is better suited for activities such as surfing or scuba diving where you need the extra warmth and buoyancy.
A wetsuit is a piece of clothing designed to keep you warm in cold water. They are often used by swimmers and surfers in cooler waters. But is it OK to wear a wetsuit in the pool? There are a few things to consider before you don your wetsuit in the pool. First, most pools are kept at a comfortable temperature for swimming, so you may not need the extra warmth that a wetsuit provides. Second, wetsuits can be constricting and make it difficult to move your arms and legs. This can be dangerous
A wetsuit should fit snugly against your body to provide the best insulation possible. If a wetsuit is too loose, water will be able to circulate inside the suit and will actually make you colder.
The debate between 5mm and 7mm wetsuits is a common one among swimmers. The main difference between the two is the thickness of the neoprene material. A 5mm wetsuit is going to be lighter and more flexible, while a 7mm wetsuit will be a bit warmer and more buoyant. So, which one should you get? It really depends on a few factors. If you're swimming in warm water, a 5mm wetsuit should be plenty. But if you're swimming in colder water, or if you tend to get
A wetsuit keeps you warm in the water by trapping a layer of water next to your skin and using your body heat to warm that water. The neoprene material of a wetsuit also provides some insulation. A full wetsuit covers your entire body, while a shorty only covers your legs and torso. The main advantage of a full wetsuit is that it will keep you warmer. If you get cold easily or plan on swimming in colder water, a full wetsuit is a good choice. A full wetsuit also gives you more
