This product is of good quality and effectively completes its task. The fact that one cannot reverse the mounting bolts was the only letdown I experienced with this device (not included). For example, if one wants to put this switch within a compartment with the mounting bolts oriented such that the heads are shown to boat occupants rather than the rough end and the mounting-nuts exposed to them, the head of the bolt WILL NOT FIT within the raised area of the bolt holes. I advise this manufacturer to cut away the mounting "ears"' "shoulder" area so that a socket can hold a nylok nut while the fastener is torqued. The only way I could mount this was by using extremely tiny needle nose pliers to retain the nuts; otherwise, the switch bolt holes would need to have the shoulder ground or filed off.

During regular use, my Brute air compressor would trip its reset switch every 10 seconds. I determined that the issue must be that the Kuoyuh 15A reset switch was tripping at less than 15 amps after inspecting the electric motor and refilling the oil. This was one of numerous results when I looked for a Kuoyuh 15A trip switch on Amazon.It fit perfectly after I ordered it. The switch could be fastened with either a stainless steel nut or a nylon thumb wheel nut; I chose the thumb wheel because it was simpler to install. The wires from the compressor motor fit neatly on the two contacts of the Blue Sea switch and the mounting hole. The motor resumed regular operation as soon as I turned on the air compressor. An uncharacteristically pleasant conclusion to a troubleshooting tale, it charged the tank to 95 psi and kept it charged.Only a #2 Phillips screwdriver and a mini-crescent wrench were required to remove the Kyohuh unit's nut and reach the Kuoyuh motor overload trip switch. Check the oil level and make sure the drive shaft can spin freely during normal operation if your Brute's trip switch is frequently tripping, then buy this replacement. Fantastic, but a few points to remember.This gadget has enormous lugs. Almost every connector needs to be drilled out in order for it to function. Needs a hole of approximately 7/16", but the lugs are exactly 3/8".Approximately 2.5" long screws are required for flush mounting and attaching the back cover. Although 2" screws will hold the back cover in place, there won't be enough of them. The majority of nuts you find won't fit in the space designated for the mounting nut. The largest screws you can use are #10, but the only nuts that would truly fit are #6. I purchased #8 screws and nuts, heated the nuts with a heat gun until the plastic started to melt, and then pushed the heated nuts into the nut's location to make them fairly permanent. After mounting the switch, I purchased some wing nuts to fasten the back cover. The screws will be reduced in length by around 1/4" so that they don't protrude as much.By twisting the knob 1/8 turn counterclockwise, pushing in, then turning it again, the knob can be removed. It resembles a key in this way.Since Amazon didn't provide any high-quality images of this item, I've added a couple more. To replace the conventional single-battery box that is on my RV, I purchased this to put in a sizable toolbox. Now that I can have two batteries, I can use them to disconnect in between journeys.

This switch was purchased by me to install under the hood of my vehicle and serve as a master cutoff switch to turn off the 12 volt power I ran to the back bumper for a boat trailer powerwinch. To connect my winch, I connected a thick wire from the battery to this switch, which I installed on a bracket I made under the hood next to the battery. I rarely use it, so I can disconnect the power and only need to open the hood and turn it on when I do. This way, I don't have to worry about a hot outlet at the back that is exposed to rain and snow. The switch seemed to be reliable, and I appreciated that it was still small and stout-looking. I tested it, and it works just great, so perhaps it will work.

Wow, this is a fantastic industrial switch for my two 12V 460Ah battery banks for an off-grid 3kW (max) 120 VAC "UPS" (each battery bank has four 6V x 230Ah batteries) (sort-of). A/B/A B/Off, standard mounting holes (check) (check). For a couple of my components, I use BlueSea (fuses, buss-bars, etc).
