We purchased this bed frame about a week ago after noticing that one of our friends had purchased a comparable item for a HECK of a lot more money than I spent. I am aware that this has nothing to do with the business, but 2 day shipping is incredible. It arrived at my door on Thursday after I placed my order on Tuesday. I was immediately shocked by how heavy the box was. If you are older, your grandchild should probably carry the box over to your house. It asked me if I wanted to spend an extra $200 to have someone help me set up the base when I first bought it, but it only takes a few minutes to get everything ready. Therefore, I would conclude that hiring someone else to set it up is not worthwhile.I purchased two Twin XL frames so that the combined size of the two beds would still be a king. Both a king size bed and two Twin XL beds can be used with these bases. Actually, my wife and I are experimenting with this to discover which one we prefer more!Anyway, here's the good stuff. I cannot believe how much of a change in my sleep quality just a little elevation around my knees and at my head has created. The mornings are now difficult to get out of bed! The image for the adjustable base bed on this page shows the BEST position for simply sitting in bed, whether you're watching TV, writing this review, or using your computer. Even having a couch bothers me no more. In the luxury of my bed, I'll watch movies, TV shows, football, send emails, eat dinner, and do whatever else I want. Seven buttons are located on the remote itself. Two of the buttons adjust the base up, two adjust the base down, one flashes a light in case you drop something, one makes the bed flat again, and there is a M that, to be honest, I have no idea what it does.It has been great the last week to be able to have this level of luxury for less than $1,000! What if you want the advantages of an adjustable bed without the price tag? I have a top-of-the-line Tempur-Pedic adjustable base, but they are not inexpensive. Is Classic Brands a decent substitute?SET-UP: The bed is delivered in a box that is roughly half its size. The legs, the two halves, and the two motors are fastened to the bed before you assemble it. You can then connect it in and use it. Although it was rather simple, it took some strength to move the pieces around, thus I would suggest hiring someone strong to assist (or do) the assembling. It took me around 45 minutes to do it by myself, although it would have been simpler with a partner.A wired remote that hooks onto the side of the frame rises the bed's head and legs simultaneously. The frame itself is made to fit inside a normal bed frame (like the Tempur-Pedic), and it did so with the bed frame I've been using for years (the twin xl is half of a king, so it fit in half of my existing bed frame, with my Tempur-pedic base on the other side of the bed).How does it stack up against the Tempur-Pedic, then?Use: The bed lifts comfortably at the head and foot whether raised or lowered, and the result is identical. It isn't nearly as smooth and is a tad noisier than the Tempur-Pedic. The Tempur-Pedic moves so smoothly and quietly that sometimes I can't even know it is moving. However, both are equally robust and comfy once you are in position.The controls offered by Classic Brands are extremely straightforward: up, down, head, foot, and both. My Tempur-Pedic can lift the foot or the head, but not both at once, whereas the Classic Brands can. It definitely takes less time to get into position than the Tempur-Pedic. But the Tempur-Pedic remote is much better. It is wireless, illuminates when you pick it up, and features a "flat" button that causes the bed to collapse back into a flat position. It also has four position memory, making it simple to return to your preferred seated or sleeping position. The Classic Brands button must be held down as it moves; unlike the Tempur-Pedic, it cannot just be pressed once and left to function. In terms of control, Classic Brands is adequate, but Tempur-Pedic is unquestionably better. Before trying to make your bed every morning and having to stand and hold the button for it to get in position, you don't understand how convenient having the "flat" option is.The Classic Brands will serve the same purpose, are nicely manufactured, and after you cover them with a mattress and bedding, can you even tell the difference? However, the Tempur-Pedic is a significantly superior bed, from the production to the parts. If we experience any issues with either of the bed's motors, I will update this review. However, I have no reason to believe that one is superior than the other other the fact that Tempur-Pedic is known for producing high-quality products.Since they are in two entirely different pricing ranges, I am aware that it is unfair to compare the two. However, if you're anything like me, you're curious about what you're getting for your extra cash and whether it's worthwhile. In the end, the Classic Brands will perform the fundamental task just as well as the Tempur-Pedic. There is absolutely no reason to spend more money if all you need is a bed that raises your head or legs for a more comfortable working, resting, reading, or watching TV posture. In that regard, Classic Brands is just as effective as Tempur-Pedic. You can upgrade to the Tempur-Pedic for an extra $1000, which will offer you a better, more practical remote and a quieter, more comfortable ride (the most expensive Tempur-Pedic also has massage). It is a novelty; don't buy it for the massage). Everything is dependent upon what is important to you.

The bed is folded and covered in a plastic sleeve for security (see photos). Simple setup; no tools required.Everything you require is packed and secured to the bed's substructure with zip ties once it has been removed and unfolded (see photo). The legs' stacked pieces, which there are six of, can be unscrewed to add or subtract height incrementally (see photo). Although the hard plastic foot on the legs isn't unpleasant, we were concerned that it would damage the hardwood floor. To be safe, we affixed felt tabs with adhesive backing (see photo).When the slats that support the old box spring are removed, both beds fit into an existing bed frame with ease (see photo showing one of the 2 in place).To the dismay of my gorgeous wife, who like a clean home, all the cords were on the floor. I twist-tied them onto the frame, taking care not to attach to any moving parts or places where moving parts contact one another, in order to keep the peace in such home.Along the event of a power loss, a battery backup box is plugged in with the power brick. If iDealBed could figure out what headboard attachment hardware works with the frame, this bed would have a perfect five-star rating. Two distinct hardware sets from iDealBed were shipped to us, however none of them function. According to a recent email from the business, there is working hardware available, but it is not "offered for individual sale." When we ordered the second hardware kit, that is what we were informed. We'll give it another shot, but I'm starting to wonder if I need to locate someone who can make the attachment just for us.

The businesses in our neighborhood demanded over $2,000 for a California king size when we wanted an adjustable bed frame for our new mattress. I hesitated to order one of these on the internet, but I'm very happy we did! You can't go wrong for half the cost! Concerning installation and getting the item into the bedroom, I was concerned. But it's all packaged in a surprisingly manageable-sized box. After you open the box, all you have to do is screw the 6 legs into the frame's bottom and plug it in. The functioning is quite smooth and quiet, and the frame seems very solid. I strongly advise anyone looking to save money on an adjustable bed frame to do this!

I just received and put everything together, so I can't speak to how durable it will be, but everything appears pretty sturdy.Some observations:1. Rather than the entire as I initially thought, the two base units each weigh 93 lbs. I believed my wife and I could climb our stairs while weighing 46 pounds. No. It was done for us by two younger pals.2. You can get hold of some of the frame when they are out of the box, making them easier to transport.3. Assembly is required, but no tools are required. The written and visual instructions are excellent.4. You must remove 3 to change the height of the bed "a few of the legs. The bottom 3 of the assembled set of 4 components "Piece is necessary and has a floor glide. Regardless of height, they are quite solid, and it doesn't require much muscle to remove the components and screw the legs into the frame; just snug them up.5. To connect the two parts, there are two brackets. Divide each set, then screw the inner leg through the bracket's middle section. The brackets can then be reassembled and secured using the bolts with attractive "handles."6. The master control must be plugged into the power source, and a power cord must be attached to the power supply. It is simple to accomplish and impossible to mistake the cables.7. You're done if you want the two sides to run independently. There is a connection provided (really two - one with each side) that you attach the two master controls to if you want the two sides to function together (for a standard king mattress).The bed is a split king from Sleep Number. The foot of the mattress is normal, but the two sides of the head of the mattress operate separately, thus both sides must be adjusted at the same time. I thought wonderful, I'll synch the foot ends when I noticed you could synch them. Not at all; it's all or nothing.I am overjoyed. Thanks to my ability to modify the mattress, it is now a lot more comfortable. Due to neck, back, and knee problems, I prefer to sleep on my back with my head slightly lifted and my legs bent. I've never slept better than I did last night.And it costs a lot less than purchasing one from Sleep Number.Oh, and one more thing: the head of the unit can be folded up easily. Instead of trying to carry it by the end, lift the frame instead. The ability to just pull up one end makes it simple to attach the cords, notably the synch cord.

This was a terrific product that I bought on March 11 and used up until last week. Since obstacles proved to be a problem for some other people, we made sure there were none, but it didn't help either. The base jerks up slowly and makes a ticking noise while trying to lift the head or foot of the bed smoothly. The remote raises and lowers just properly if we use any other pre-settings on it. Additionally, once the massage feature is activated, it cannot be deactivated without unplugging the device and restarting it. We tried replacing the batteries in the remote twice because we believed perhaps that was the issue, but it didn't work. This device was way too pricey to malfunction after only two months of use. I'm incredibly disappointed. Support responded to my email, so perhaps I will hear from them soon. Based on their suggestions, I'll update this review. If you pay close attention to the brief video I've provided of what is happening, you can hear the ticking sound I'm referring to. You can see in the movie how each feature is employed that moving the head and foot pieces up is, to put it mildly, difficult. With the exception of this period, the TV/PC function on the remote does not operate at all.***Review updated as of May 27, 2017. After posting this review, I received a call, and a new control box and remote were delivered to me. Although the packaging is different from the original, things are going well. Since the customer service was outstanding, I am changing my rating to 5/5.

Even though I knew going into this purchase that you get what you pay for, I still wanted an adjustable bed frame that would improve my sleep, be acceptable to my wife, and not cost as much as a used car. To create a king size bed, I bought two twin XL beds. I assembled them without incident in 30 minutes apiece. You can construct these if you've already put together IKEA furniture for your home. I did it on my own, but I would suggest that having a helper would be useful.The frames work as they should. They go perfectly with the 12 inch Dynasty mattresses I like. My major complaint is that the legs are composed of "Chinesium," a metal that is extremely soft. If they were straight, this wouldn't be a problem, but the fact that each of these 12 legs attached at a slightly different angle worries me. You can see how they kick off to the sides in different directions if you look at the photo I supplied. The non-square nature of the load means that one will eventually break. When that occurs, I'll let the manufacturer know and let you know how it went.
