The batteries I ordered (on March 24, 2018) had a 12-2027 expiration date. Amazon sold and delivered these. Due to the large number of fake and outdated batteries supplied by third-party merchants on Amazon, I NEVER order batteries from them. Even though I just received them, I tested a handful, and they all registered 1.62 volts. Given Amazon's track record with batteries, I was a little concerned when I ordered, but the package seems brand new and unopened. I purchased the 40 pack, and I enjoy how they arrive in the plastic box in 10 packs of 4. Additionally, it was a wonderful deal at 26 cents per battery. The only option that would have been less expensive is to get the 100 pack, which works out to 24 cents each battery. Not 100 AA batteries, please. Glad I acquired these. How long they endure will depend on time.

I want my flashlights to turn on when I hit "go," but I can't afford to buy new ones every year. The new batteries are expensive, but I guess they're not as expensive as buying new torches. Use these copper caps in black and gold for devices like my dog's hair clipper that you use frequently enough to replace them every month. If not, I'll move to the more expensive ones. I made the decision that testing them would be enjoyable. I utilized a Fluke digital multimeter, calibrated it using a D.C. precision regulated power supply, and then verified its accuracy with a Tektronix scope. I measured four different brands of AA batteries with the Fluke Multimeter straight out of the box and without any load.
