Adaptive Utensils (4-Piece Premium Stainless Steel) Wide, 7oz. Each Heavy Weighted, Non-Slip Handles for Hand Tremors, Arthritis, Parkinson’s or Elderly Use, Stainless Steel Knife, Fork, Spoons Review:

I bought the set for a member of my extended family who has tremors and finds it embarrassing to eat in front of people after reading so many positive reviews. They are currently on vacation and will use the set when they return, so this review is preliminary and definitely about the first impression. First of all, the set is reasonably priced. We unboxed the set as a group after delivery. Because it would be difficult for someone with tremors to twist the little wire, it may be good to look into a solution to secure the set. The weight pulled the silverware from the bottom placard. The set is incredibly nicely built, and from the way each component looks and feels, it's clear that a lot of care (and love) went into making it. The set is quite beautiful as well!I might buy a second set to keep in the car and utilize at restaurants if feedback is received.

Adaptive Utensils (4-Piece Kitchen Set) Wide, Weighted, Non-Slip Handles for Hand Tremors, Arthritis, Parkinson’s or Elderly Use, Stainless Steel Knife, Fork, Spoons (Gray Light Weighted) Review:

My husband's physical stamina and hand strength are deteriorating. Although we've tried different adaptable tools, these are the finest! They are dishwasher safe, incredibly strong, and light. Wide grips that don't slide are used. Knife is not sharp enough for him to cut himself, but it is serrated for cutting. His mouth won't be stabbed by the fork's thin tines.Use a beaded chain (like the extension chain for a ceiling fan) through the hole in the handles, tie the chain to the chair, and if the object is dropped, it may be quickly recovered. For soups, I would want a little more depth in the large spoon's bowl. However, it takes more tolerance to that kind of food, so it hasn't really been a problem.

BUNMO Weighted Utensils for Tremors and Parkinsons Patients - Heavy Weight Silverware Set of Knife, Fork and Spoon - Adaptive Eating Flatware (3 Pieces) Review:

These eating utensils are excellent! As a retired registered nurse, I have a condition called mixed connective tissue disease (MCTD), which includes rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus, systemic sclerosis with associated severe GERD, polymyositis, reynaud's disease, hashimoto's thyroiditis, sjogren's syndrome, and the one factor I don't have, dermatomyositis. I am also really osteoporotic. These weighted utensils are great because I have hand spasms and significant discomfort from all of these. I previously used a set with wide handles, but they weren't weighted or convenient to use. This BUNMO set contains a knife with a serrated edge on one side and a smooth butter knife on the other, and it is perfectly balanced. The majority of sets for people with disabilities lack cutting edges and are ineffective. Two spoons of various sizes are also included in this set. The weighted implements stop spasms and soup or food from spilling. I strongly endorse these weighted implements!

Providence Spillproof Scoop Plate - 9" White Review:

When our son's brain tumor was removed three years ago when he was seven years old, he suffered a small stroke and his right side stopped functioning. He is currently receiving both occupational and physical therapy. He has to relearn how to walk and communicate. By God's grace, he is currently playing soccer and running, although his tiny arm is still not functioning properly. He can be as independent as possible thanks to products like these. My only recommendation is that you consider making larger bowls because he enjoys cooking and might benefit from some non-slip mixing bowls to increase his independence and culinary skills. We appreciate you providing this goods.

Maddak Inner-Lip Plate, Red (745310004) Review:

I bought it for my mum. She has dementia and lives in an assisted facility. She has had more difficulty eating on her own in recent months. She is unable to use a spoon or fork to eat. She would push the food around or prod at areas of her plate that were still empty. She was upset and ashamed to eat because she was losing weight. For her, the lipped plate makes a significant difference. Most significantly, it aids her in maintaining her dignity and independence. Some customers have complained that the plate is prone to scratching. Insufficient time has passed for us to evaluate that. However, the cost is so little that you may get a number of them. The plate is dishwasher safe, which means there is no additional work for workers. I strongly advise doing this.

Maddak Plastic Inner-Lip Plate, Sandstone (745310000) Review:

We recently relocated our mother from a subpar senior group home back to our house. Being legally blind, I saw that they use regular plastic plates with a stainless steel attachment called a Plate Guard to serve my mom food. She wants to eat for herself, which is admirable, but with this arrangement, she would still eat.I started looking for plates for the handicapped just before moving her home and came across this device. I decided to buy one because the specs were decent and the reviews were positive. One of the best things I've ever bought for my mother. She no longer spills food off the plate when used with the Plate guard. Hard plastic plates are easily washable in the D/W without any issues.

Sammons Preston Plate with Inside Edge, 9" Plate with Food Spill Prevention Aid, Durable Plates with Inner Lip, Eating Support for Children, Adults, Elderly and Disabled, Polypropylene, Off-White Review:

For a buddy who has Parkinson's disease, I ordered this plate. He finds it challenging to remove food off his plate. This plate is very lightweight and well-made. I can see why it was made to be lightweight because it will be easier for kids to use or adults with weaker grips to wield. I find the slight pebbling on the eating surface unpleasant, but my friend doesn't appear to be bothered by it. I did not like the fact that the unmolding process left a few sharp edges; these had to be carefully removed with a sharp knife and then sanded. I was fortunate enough to be able to order this for my friend; if he had been ordering it for himself, he might not have been able to do so safely. This is risky because the edges were sharp enough to readily cut skin. I believe it would be beneficial if the plate's bottom surface, which makes touch with the table, were made of a softer plastic that wouldn't slide as readily. However, this could create a manufacturing headache because the eating surface obviously requires and is made of hard plastic. As an addition to this product, perhaps a snap-on "gripper" ring that is either always included or optional could be thought of. My friend hasn't used this product very long—it just came two days ago—but it already improved his ease of eating. Overall, I'm extremely happy with this plate, and it undoubtedly makes my friend's eating experience easier and more productive. Because of the jagged edges it arrived with, I can't give it a perfect score of 5. This plate has greatly thrilled my friend.

Maddak Ableware Scooper Bowl with Suction Cup Base, Blue Review:

I bought my Uncle the Kinsman KEatlery Weighted Utensils, Set of 4 Includes Knife, Fork, Teaspoon, and Soup Spoon to go with the Ableware Scooper Bowl with the Suction Cup base and the Parson's Scoop plate which keeps the food on his plate instead of the table for him who has a very strong tremble in his hands and was only eating a few bites of food at a meal. He has seen a significant improvement in how easy it is for him to eat now thanks to the plates and utensils.I recently purchased a second set of everything for my grandmother, who struggles with her hands and was opposed to the concept of special plates and cutlery until she tried her brother's and saw the difference it made. She is now anticipating getting her set.

Red Round Scoop Dish, Unbreakable 8" Scooper Bowl for Elderly, Disabled, & Handicapped, Plate with Non Skid Rubber Padded Bottom for Independent Eating, Self-Feeding Aid Review:

My 92-year-old mother had a primary arm and shoulder fracture and struggled mightily to eat with her non-primary hand. This scoop dish is fantastic and got the job done. It worked so well that I bought a second one so I could have a little wiggle room in how soon I washed it for use in the subsequent dinner. She can easily push food into the scoop so that it will readily fall onto the spoon or fork. What a big help. It has a non-skid bottom, but I combined it with very thin silicon placemats to ensure that it would stay put. Definitely a huge help. She certainly appreciates the increased independence. Despite being only 8", it can store a lot of food. Highly advised.
