Hand exercisers are often used to help people recover from injuries or to improve their strength and dexterity. While there is some evidence that hand exercisers can be helpful, there is no definitive proof that they are effective. Some people may find hand exercisers helpful, while others may not. Ultimately, it is up to the individual to decide whether or not to use a hand exerciser.
Yes, you can wash therapy putty, but it is not necessary. Therapy putty can be washed with soap and water if it becomes soiled.
There is no scientific evidence to suggest that putty can help with anxiety, however some people may find it calming or therapeutic to play with. If you find that putty helps you to relax then it may be worth using it as a tool to manage your anxiety levels. However, it is important to remember that putty is not a cure for anxiety and should not be used as a replacement for professional help.

To aid the youngest with her ADHD and to bolster her hands, we purchased this. Due to how much fun it is to play with, I ultimately decided to buy two extra tubs for myself and the oldest.Although the former putties require some playtime to warm up, it is quite elastic. This is more entertaining to me than a fidget spinner because it occupies both hands, exercises them, and is quieter. On a side note, this will bounce when rolled into a ball, just like the putty in the eggs we used to play with as kids.

To start my therapy, my occupational therapist brought this brand of putty to my house. When I asked her where I could purchase one, she responded that I could check Amazon (Amazon has everything). This brand was easy to find. Since I live on a fixed income, it wasn't extremely pricey, which is fantastic for me.She claimed that the first level, "x-soft," is softer and easier to deal with in this brand than in some of the more expensive ones. This first level is difficult, in my opinion. With a harder putty, I'm not sure whether I could perform my treatment exercises as well.I need to exercise every day, but I can also sit with this in my hand and squeeze it like a stress ball while I watch TV or read on my iPad.This putty is really smooth, moldable, and even simple to separate into two pieces so I can work both hands at once. Additionally, returning to the container is simple. My therapist did advise me not to attempt to wipe it off if it got on my clothes. She claimed that if I freeze it, the putty will just separate and can be taken off. It's convenient because I have all the different putties stacked together in a small container.

With grant money, I purchased this item for my sensory and calming area in my classroom. This product's four levels of resistance are why I chose it. I work with individuals with complex multiple disabilities that require a variety of motor skills. When the new school year starts in August, we will investigate and utilize this product. After school starts, I'd be pleased to respond to more detailed inquiries.

Particularly if you suffered a fractured wrist, this is a fantastic tool to help you regain your hand's strength! My physical therapist recommended!Instructions for using it:Before using the table again, thoroughly clean your hands and the surface.Remove from the container, form a ball, begin the quiz, and form a new ball.Make a long roll on the table that is long enough to accommodate both of your fingers. (8) Next, press your fingers downward in the first section on the left, and then in the second part on the right. Your fingers' shapes will be visible on the putty. Then, squeeze each portion with each finger while moving from left to right. A video is preferable.Create a new ball, then roll and pinch the Putty on the table.Hope that was helpful.

This Therapy Putty is extremely cool. I was looking for something that would also work my hands. The variety of stiffness in the 4 putties has impressed me. Although I was certain that I would begin with one of the firmer ones, starting with the softest one is just great. It provides me with a good workout and doesn't make my hands sticky. Really entertaining to use as I watch television news. When I pretend that the putty is the face of a certain politician while rearranging it, I can let go of a lot of irritation.Further commentary 4/12/17 —- You must be careful not to let the putty relax on fabric, as another reviewer pointed out. I was messing with the pink one, which is the next firmest from the softest, when I fell asleep for about 20 minutes tonight evening, and it essentially flowed into a puddle on my lap. Apart from the fact that it was a labor-intensive procedure to scrape it off the fabric until there was only a thin layer left, it did successfully return to its pan after I used the firmest putty to remove the residue from my jeans. I'll lay waxed paper on my lap the next time (I must admit, I frequently nod off while watching the late news!)

During physical therapy, I began using this putty to help strengthen my wrists. I can hold this putty in one hand while doing something else with the other since it isn't goopy and there is just enough of it.Although it is sometimes ignored, wrist strengthening benefits my fingers as well. stores well in a container of its own.

This is fantastic and was suggested by my physical therapist. When I was recovering from shoulder surgery, they used this at physical therapy, so I got some for home use as well. I've become so dependent on it that while I'm sitting down and watching TV or reading, I always have it in my hands. I also use it on the side from my operation. It has the same same consistency as a large ball of silly putty. I'm currently addicted to it, as I already indicated. Excellent purchase for anyone who has had shoulder, arm, or hand surgery.

My children both enjoy playing with the putty. My eldest's fine motor abilities require improvement. His handwriting is sloppy. He believes "he can feel it" in his fingertips after performing the exercises for around 5 minutes. He is still utilizing the soft putty in his work. I appreciate that there are various degrees of resistance. He is driven to advance to the next stage. Additionally, I told a friend about the product who had just undergone surgery, and she is considering purchasing it as well.

My rheumatologist at the VA Hospital suggested this therapy item for the post-treatment of a steroid injection in my "trigger finger" ( a condition where the finger locks in closed position). Because it also improves the tendons and muscles in the forearm, I adore this device. I can now pick up my flute and saxophone again. (At one point, I could only play "One Note Samba" since my finger was stuck in one place. Ha! a touch of comedy.) Hollywood, California R P Musician, Local #47

My fingers always need to be occupied, whether I'm bored, anxious, or stressed. I'm a terrible fidgeter. If I don't, I'll pick at any scabs, the skin on my lips, neck, and fingers. For me, this putty has been a lifesaver because it entirely eliminates the need to eat while watching television just to keep my hands occupied.- No or very little odorIt won't become sticky and start sticking to you until you are extremely perspiring.- 4 tub variety makes it easy to select the strength you prefer.- Each tub contains a sizable quantity of putty.- Unlike stress balls, putty is quite adaptable, so there are a variety of things you can make with it.Cons: - I'm not sure how useful these are for therapy use because they all start out rather rough before becoming soft (great for fidgeting though)- The advantages are all very comparable. The hard is unquestionably much firmer than the rest, but after it is melded, it also becomes soft. The ultra soft and soft are essentially the same after being made flexible. My favorite is the firm since it softens but retains some resistance.Overall, this putty feels like skin, therefore it's a great substitute for anyone who unconsciously chooses skin! I handed one of the four tubs to my sister, who has the same problem, and she said it had changed everything for her.
Putty is a soft, malleable substance that can be used for a variety of purposes, including strengthening hands. While putty may not be the most effective option for everyone, it can be a helpful tool for those looking to improve their grip strength. Putty can also be used to help relieve stress and tension in the hands and fingers.
Yes, there is evidence that Theraputty can help with arthritis. A study published in the Journal of Hand Therapy found that patients with arthritis who used Theraputty for 6 weeks had significant improvements in grip strength, pain, and range of motion.
If you have ever used therapy putty, you know that it can be a lifesaver for people who suffer from joint pain. The putty is used to help increase blood flow and reduce inflammation. However, one downside to therapy putty is that it can dry out over time. If your putty has dried out, there are a few things you can do to revive it. First, try adding a few drops of water to the putty and kneading it until it is the desired consistency. If that doesn't work, you can try microwaving the putty
If you are looking to improve your wrist health, there are a few things you can do. First, pay attention to your posture and alignment when you are typing or using your mouse. Make sure your wrists are in a neutral position and not bent too far up or down. You can also invest in a wrist rest for your keyboard and mouse to help keep your wrists in a good position. Additionally, take breaks often to give your wrists a rest and stretch them out. Finally, see a doctor if you are experiencing any pain or discomfort in your wrists.
One way to help strengthen your hand joints is to do regular hand exercises. Some simple exercises you can do at home include making a fist, spreading your fingers wide, and holding a weight in your hand and slowly opening and closing your fingers. You can also try to grab small objects like marbles or coins with your fingers to help improve your grip strength. If you have any pain in your joints, be sure to consult with a doctor or physical therapist before starting any new exercise routine.
There are a few things you should consider when choosing therapy putty. The first is the level of resistance that you need. Putty comes in different levels of resistance, from very soft to very firm. You should choose a level that will give you the amount of resistance you need to strengthen your muscles. Another thing to consider is the size of the putty. Putty comes in different sizes, from small to large. You should choose a size that is comfortable for you to hold and use. Finally, you should consider the color of the putty. Putty
