Every few months, the power would turn on and then abruptly go out on my first Xbox One, the huge square block ones. After several months of it going away and returning, I eventually went looking for a new power brick. The microsoft-branded one at Gamestop cost around $50; however, after seeing this one and reading the positive reviews, I decided to take a chance. It corrected the problem completely within 3 or 4 days (prime, but still incredibly rapid shipping). I no longer have to be concerned about power outages or downtime when I play games or watch Netflix or other content. No complaints about noise were made; I simply opened the box, connected it to the Xbox, and my issue was completely resolved. My Xbox has been giving me some trouble for a long. It appears to have a few power problems. Sometimes while I'm playing, it just turns off. The power timer's settings had been reviewed, and those weren't the issue. I'd be able to play a few games, but not all of them. After playing for five to ten minutes, the majority of games would reset the console. This made the console completely useless and was quite aggravating. Then I read more about the power problems, and I suppose that if the power bricks became really dirty inside, it would make them overheat, shut down, and cause problems for the user. When I opened mine, the inside was dirty. I reasoned that it seemed preferable to just clear out the old one for the low cost of the replacement. Since I received this replacement, my console has operated flawlessly. Just wish I'd received it sooner.

Like another reviewer reported with their Xbox, mine would crash five to ten times. After some investigation, I discovered that the power box was to blame. This was ordered, and it arrived a day early!It has been tried out and is effective. Although I can hear the fan spinning, I don't think it's loud or noisy. I can't compare the quiet feature with my original power supply because it was silent. Since I'm the go-to "tech" man, the first question I want to address is whether an off-brand power supply can last as long as an OEM. I checked the hardware and voltage for safety reasons, and it is identical to the original with a more compact design in the case. The fans are fairly quiet, especially when the device is in idle mode and no demanding apps or games are running. This one doesn't make the clicking noises I've experienced with inferior power supplies or overworked fans brought on by poor airflow and overheating. In the older devices, short circuiting is a very frequent issue that results in an orange light. Your power supply will fail if your Xbox One won't start on or has a black screen and you hear one or two clicks before it becomes silent once more. We assumed we would need to replace the complete Xbox when it unexpectedly died. Following some investigation, we chose to replace the power supply first. Since the release of the Xbox One controller, I had been anticipating the arrival of this device. I wanted to convert to the Xbox One controller when playing games like Rocket League since it seems much more comfortable than the Xbox 360 one from an ergonomic standpoint. I've managed to connect via USB cable in the interim, but streaming from my TV is more trickier.I'm not going to lie: the USB dongle is large. Its slender design makes it easy to plug in other USB devices next to it if they are vertically parallel, but it is unquestionably long and a little wide. It appears to be a vintage USB WiFi dongle. My Logitech dongle has to be taken out of my laptop because it is horizontally arranged there. Be aware that you can avoid this problem by using the USB extender cable that is provided in the box. To avoid any potential interference from being plugged in close proximity to other devices, I would actually advise utilizing it. I have USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 connections on my desktop and laptop, respectively. The dongle operated on both ports without any difference in performance, as I noticed.When I plugged the device into my computer, the drivers downloaded and installed themselves. To be safe, I restarted, and then simultaneously clicked the sync buttons on both my controller and the dongle. While seeking, a white light flashes; after pairing, it turns solid. It happened with my controller too. This can be used to link numerous devices. Current connections are NOT broken off; the devices stay coupled.The only game I'm going to be playing right now, Rocket League, was used for my testing, and everything went without a hitch. I moved to my laptop that was connected to my downstairs television and played again without any problems at a distance of around 15 feet from the dongle. The laptop is once more operating Windows 10.Like a 360 controller, the controller will go to sleep while inactive. It will wake up with a simple press and reconnect to the dongle without any issues. When my computer senses that it has been awakened, it emits a connection sound. When Steam is open, pressing the home key activates Big Picture mode.I've just had this product for a little over an hour, but so far everything is operating without a hitch.• Since Windows 10 is a necessity for the dongle to function, I am running it. Because of this, if you're using 7 or 8, be ready for compatibility issues. On my friend's Windows 7 desktop test, the drivers failed to install.• I tried my Xbox 360 controller, but it did not function as planned, therefore I used an Xbox One controller (Titanfall edition).• For me, everything worked right out of the box. I did restart my computer once the driver had been installed before attempting to use the controller.• The controller is effective when placed at least 15 feet from the dongle. I stopped trying right there.• Contrary to what one user said, the dongle was not hanging free in the USB port. Although there is a tiny "shift," there is no concern that it will suddenly fall out or lose attachment.Later, I'll check to see whether this works with my Steamlink, and if it does, I'll update.There are a lot of folks who are upset that it only works with Windows 10 and that it came as a surprise. I purchased this adapter to use with my HyperX Cloud II gaming headset. I initially purchased the Cloud IIs without conducting the necessary research, only to learn that the Xbox One does not support a full 7.1 surround sound setup with volume controls (ONLY buy the cloud IIs for PC or PS4 if you want full 7.1). Due of this, there is a USB plug-in wire with inaccessible volume and mute buttons (you can only use the direct aux cord plug-in that goes into the controller). First off, I gave the value for the money a low rating, but only because I find it absurd that you must buy an adaptor in addition to an Xbox One headset. However, I have a problem with Microsoft, not with this business. At first, I was going to write a terrible review because I had been waiting so long for this (from my kids).
