These aren't intended for demanding work. They won't survive very long for a mechanic, in my opinion. To see the camera, telescope, and mount dials outside in the dark when taking astrophotography, I use them. I believe that the thin, flexible plastic cover that protects the on/off button will eventually wear through, but if that happens, I'll just buy another set of these gloves.The gloves I purchased and those I received had different branding, indicating that they were all the same. Wow, wow, wow. All I have to say is that. I'm literally in awe at the brightness of this 6000 Lumen Cree Headlamp. At midday, I was rendered temporarily blind by its brightness. The fact that this light comes with everything it needs to get started and remain going is a significant plus because so many products these days list things like batteries and other components as "necessary, but not included." It was a pleasant surprise that this came with rechargeable batteries and a wall AC converter.Given that it is 20–60 times brighter than the headlamps I bring camping (100–300 lumens), the weight is significantly greater, but I don't mind. Two rechargeable 18650 batteries are used to power it, and they are kept in a separate battery compartment at the back that is closed with a soft rubber cap (the lid is secured with a small metal ring so you wont lose it, which is another bonus). The battery box in the back perfectly balances this headlamp because the front headlight element is so huge.Depending on your needs, you can create a narrow or wide spotlight utilizing the front lighting element that is housed in a zoomable housing. It can also be tilted down to make the road more visible or rotated to shine straight ahead. When you are facing forward, it can be fully slanted so that it is pointing straight down. Although I'm not sure if this is helpful, it's always good to have choices.I can't say that this is 6000 lumens because I don't have a way to test lumen output. I guess I never considered the need for gloves with lights, but man, are they great! They are quite useful since they allow you to get around without carrying a light. You can work in the dark and yet use your hands freely! They will be used so that I will always have a light with me if I go for a walk in the evening. I also won't use all my phone's battery!The OnOff switch is the one thing I didn't like. Despite being so clear, it yet functions as planned. The large white button looks out of place against the mostly black style. The item is precisely as described, but I was aware of this going in because it is plain to see on the picture.The button now looks much better after I quickly sprayed it with some black spray paint.Overall, a really cool product at a great price.

UPDATE: This past weekend, when I was returning from an event, my trailer lights began to malfunction. My left tail light, brake light, and turn signal all quit working, but my right brake light and turn signal were still operational. This light is quite bright. The two sets of lights and sturdy design are appealing to me. Because the magnet is too weak, I managed to knock off a star. It slides down when I place it on a horizontal (metal) surface and doesn't hold firmly when I place it on a vertical (metal) surface. Additionally, the magnet is hidden inside the plastic and cannot be seen. I believe that the sliding is being caused by the smooth plastic layer that is present between the magnet and the metal surface. I wish it was exactly as shown in the picture so I could swap it out for something more robust. I'm not sure what to do right now. It was intended to be attached to my bandsaw, but the magnet is ineffective.

This lighting is ideal.I've never used light like this before; previously, I utilized regular headlamps for household chores like grilling and bringing out the trash, but I detested doing so.
