I got an authentic Nintendo nunchuck that was brand-new and sealed when I bought this directly from Amazon. In conclusion, I adore the product.I recently purchased Mario Galaxy 2 for my Wii U, a game that requires a nunchuck. I initially purchased a few of the inexpensive fake nunchucks, which are available in multi-packs for a small fraction of the cost of the genuine kind, because I wasn't sure how much I would want to play it. The generic controllers allowed me to play the game, but they had poor analog sticks that made it nearly hard to do anything other than "full run" or "halt" and gradually became loose.Now that I adore Mario Galaxy 2 so much, I made the decision to complete it to the fullest extent possible. I bought the authentic Nintendo product after growing tired with the shoddy control provided by the generic nunchuck. Although they appear to be fairly comparable, the tight control provided by the excellent analog stick immediately enhanced my game.To summarize, a generic nunchuck may be sufficient to play some Wii U games that are otherwise unplayable (for instance, some of the levels in Nintendo Land), but the official Nintendo nunchuck is a significant improvement and is well worth the additional cost if you intend to invest a significant amount of time in a nunchuck-required title.

Without a second controller, how can Dad instruct a 5-year-old in Wii Sports Resort? In order to use the Motion Plus feature, I also purchased a third-party Wii remote with this case. I was a little taken aback when I opened the package to find that it was just a plain generic box with no English wording on it. Although I do not believe this to be a legitimate Nintendo product, that would not have significantly changed my decision to purchase. But knowing beforehand would be wonderful.For our purposes, this has worked perfectly, however occasionally it pops out of the Wii control. I'll give it a go because I'm using a supplemental Wii controller. Even if it annoys me a little, it doesn't happen frequently enough for me to be unhappy with this as a whole. The fact that you have to remove the control from its shell in order to change the battery has already been mentioned by others. I'm going to do as others have said and chop out the rear. It works just great to hook the nunchuck to the bottom. Nothing wrong there.This is not a stand-alone product, please note. A Wii controller *must* be purchased (or owned* to go with it). If you can locate a Wii Motion Plus remote for less money than this case and the control, it might be worthwhile to look around; but, if you already have the control, this is the best option.

For computer-based Wii emulation, I use Dolphin. I intended to try and save money by purchasing a "cheaper" pair of controllers, but they were inoperable. My initial assumption was that the Dolphin bar was to blame, but the controllers are probably to blame. Since purchasing these, I have played for hours with no problems because these functioned right away.You only receive two controllers. They are refurbished, and when I inserted batteries in mine, they immediately started working. The nunchuck portion of the controller DOES NOT COME WITH THESE. only the main controller.

After reading my initial review, this seller got in touch with me and offered to either send a replacement for the damaged products or a refund. I said that it would be nice if they could supply functioning controllers, but if not, a refund would also be fine. But after playing the game for around two hours, one of the nunchucks started to malfunction and eventually quit working altogether. Although we have tried moving it between various controllers and it still won't operate, there are no evident physical flaws. I'm awaiting a response from the vendor to learn whether a replacement controller will be provided.

These controllers, which I purchased in pairs, perform wonderfully. simple to sync If you don't want to pay for the actual Wii controllers, this is a great alternative. The speakers built into the real remote control have a tendency to buzz rather than produce the typical noises of the original controllers, which is the only reason these are not rated as 5-stars (see remark below). The only drawback is that the sound in the controller can be turned off, but that is not a big deal.
