When I place my 16 oz. Hydroflask down on the counter, it doesn't make a loud "thunk," which is crucial when working the night shift. It also fits perfectly. Given the numerous complaints I've seen about fallen bottles denting and chipping, I'm confident that in the long term it will prevent chipping on the bottom of the bottle. I bought this protected bottom, a mug, and a tea infuser. (The infuser was unable to seal and leaked as per the warning (but not as per the advertisement or description), hence a refund was given.)) First off, getting it onto the cup requires a lot of work. I needed more than ten minutes to put it on. It is comfortable and prevents the metal mug from "bumping" (making a sound or dent) on a hard surface. Consider it as an insurance policy, where the premium is half the cost of the insured item ($10 for a $20 insured item). Some could argue that it ought to be a basic component of the mug rather than a pricey extra. Some would suggest that it responds to reviews from other reviewers who have complained about design flaws that result in bumps, dents, clanks, etc. However, by raising the cost of my cup, it boosts the economy. (Every feature is a hidden flaw.) My $20 mug now costs $30 due to this add-on! I feel pampered, distinguished, and deserving. Who are you?

I am so thankful that these bite valves are available on their own, and in such bright colorful choices. My toddler loves her camelbak bottles. She has at least four if not more in different designs, and one goes with us everywhere for the last year and a half. Sometimes she chews on the bite valve or it gets lost, so it is great to have a few replacements. I bought an Ozark Trail brand straw cleaning kit that is perfect for cleaning straws and these bite valves alike. They do need to be cleaned thoroughly and quickly especially if chocolate milk or something similar is drank through them. I often soak them in a cup of warm soapy water and then use the straw cleaner on them, and then put them in the silverware rack in the dishwasher. They have held up for over a year with very frequent use. Definitely recommmend this product and I will be buying additional Camelbak products for the family, kids and adults alike.

The straws are much larger than the bottle, but they may be cut to fit the bottle. It fits my plain, modern 17 oz. bottle well.I was given a damaged lid, but customer service was excellent and immediately sent me a new, which worked perfectly.I would advise using this lid.

They are constantly in use by me for both work and adventure. (We go on a lot of adventures, hikes, etc.)They have endured incredibly well thus far. (Of the 5 or 6 caps I purchased, my very active 13-year-old was able to break the handle on just the one he wears to school every day; the other caps are still in good condition.)Regarding utility, it's great not to have to remove the entire top of your 32- or 64-ounce flask in order to sip from it. (Rises your ice, causing it to crash into your top lip). These should receive a five just for that!So, back to that scam. Yes, using these tops can reduce the amount of time your flask can maintain frozen ice. or cold beverages. They can sweat, indeed. The simple solution is to simply keep your flask in your backpack with the original insulated cap. When you are ready to use that flask, switch to the Takeya spout. I believe that by using it, you actually prolong the life of the ice. because you don't completely remove the cover before each drink. I purchased these to go with my 40 oz. flamingo pink Hydro Flask because I needed a straw lid for convenience and I wanted something that would match my Hydro Flask. I glanced through some of the reviews, and there were a lot of claims that these are leakproof. I've only used one of the straw lids so far, but it is completely leakproof. I put one of these straw lids on my Hydro Flask, filled it with water and ice, held it upside down, gave it a good shake, set it on its side on my lap, and waited for it to leak. Never did it. The second one should have been tested, but I'll do it tomorrow. The other thing I wanted to find out was if the plastic preserves the scent/taste of whatever beverage was in it. I put iced passion tea in my Hydro Flask today, and tomorrow I'll use the second lid to put iced chai tea in it. I'll wash both tops once more and then test them both in ice water to see if the iced chai or passion tea flavor is still present. I don't think I'll put sparkling water in my flask very often, so I'm not too worried about how these types of straw lids aren't the best for carbonated beverages, but it's important to be aware of the fountain effect that can happen when using this style of lid with carbonated beverages. If you frequently consume carbonated beverages, there is another brand of straw lid available.I'm not crazy about the tight corners on these lids, which might make cleaning them challenging, but that's not the manufacturer's fault. Simply put, there is a problem with this kind of lid. The cost of a straw lid, I suppose?Anyhow, after reading about how problematic the Hydro Flask name brand straw lids can be, I can't believe how great these off-brand straw lids are. The price also can’t be beat. I really wish this company also made the spout/chug lids in all of these same color assortments. I’d absolutely buy hot pink spout/chug lids for my Hydro Flask!Oh! I almost forgot! I read through a ridiculous amount of reviews for different brands of straw lids, and one of the most common complaints I saw, after the lids not being leakproof, was that the straw was really difficult to suck through. I guess this is due to the vacuum effect. I haven’t had that problem at all with this lid. It’s easy to suck and keep on sucking through this straw lid.
