To attach a few things, I was hunting around for some generic double-sided tape. I came upon this on Amazon as I was looking around online. Reusable/cleanable and appearing to be robust were the selling points. It could even hold a phone, according to several reviews and videos I watched! then why not? Although it costs a bit more than regular double-sided tape, it can be reused! Similar to rechargeable batteries, I assume.I needed to attach an HDMI switch to the wall in the family room, a small wireless IP surveillance camera (less than 2 pounds), and a powered USB hub on the bottom of a desk for my child's gaming computer. I just cut the proper amount of tape for each and thoroughly cleaned the surfaces (all were wood for my needs today). All survived rather well! Even after I removed and reapplied the hub, it is still holding firm. I conducted a modest experiment by placing a small piece of an old-school iPod classic that was still functional on a plastic surface. It was sturdy! Whatever the case, I managed to take it off and remove the tape (it took some work, but I got it done), and it is holding up very well like a brand-new piece! I then ran the piece through water, let it air dry, and reapplied it to a new hardwood platform. The ability to endure all of the season's temperatures will be the true test, I suppose. This tape is AMAZING; it stays firmly and is CLEAR. I started using this tape because I was using standard tape for my shipping labels on parcels for work (reseller) and I always felt it would just kind of come apart after leaving my house. I don't know why, but I had this misconception that it would contain much less tape than a typical roll, wouldn't last as long, and cost a lot more money. In reality, it lasts exactly as long as a typical roll of tape and the price difference isn't very noticeable. If you really want anything TAPED down, I highly recommend it. So keep that in mind, I doubt it's simple to remove.

It states in the description that these are suitable for photographs (they probably mean in a photo album). That would not be at all professional. These have a lot of shine! I would choose the "magic, matte" tape if I needed to utilize a tape for a photo album. I can't recall exactly how much I paid for the pair, but I'm certain it wasn't much.

I have occasionally experienced mounting issues when the tape is too powerful, but I have never experienced mounting issues when the tape is insufficiently powerful (dismounting).A very little length of tape should be sufficient for usage with lightweight things like a remote control receiver or a small external hard drive. A longer strip should be adequate for larger devices, such as a USB hub with protruding wires.When installing larger items or mounting them to a wall, exercise caution. I recently hung a few sizable photographs on the wall. Given that hooks might cause a picture to swing, I reasoned that mounting tape would hold the photos more securely than they would with hooks. I was right. But when I attempted to take the images down, I actually ruined the wall's surface badly, ripping off several coats of paint. Remember that this tape has the potential to be highly potent when using it. Okay, I put the incorrect review for this (mother sleep deprivation) and wrote it on a pack of printer paper that I had purchased. So let's give it another shot. I bought this because my daughter, who is a little artist and is constantly creating, uses a ton of tape for her craft projects. I tried to teach her how to be more frugal and not use as much tape, but I figured this would work and we would both benefit. You can simply apply it to your paper, but you shouldn't attempt to remove it because doing so will likely remove a layer and damage the artwork you are hanging.However, you can easily remove the art from your wall and I didn't notice any wall damage at all...The bottom line, in my opinion: Never again
