For our pantry, I bought this set of 3 motion lights. Each of these turned on and stayed lit for at least 15 seconds when I first inserted the brand-new batteries into them. When I waved my hand in front of them after they had originally shut off, just one would come back. The only way I could get the other two to work again was to take out and reinstall the batteries. I tried multiple times in both natural light and a dark room, and the outcomes were the same in both settings.The one light that did turn back on was malfunctioning as well because it would turn back on in the pantry right away after going out. I shut the pantry door after waiting 15 seconds with the light fixed there, and the light would dim for a fraction of a second before coming back on. After watching this happen repeatedly for a while, I realized that something wasn't right.Because I'm not sure the quality control is particularly effective, I chose to return the lights rather than exchange them.I gave the lights a two-star rating since they are bright and did a good job of adequately lighting a small pantry. These are inexpensive blue LEDs, and depending on usage, the charge lasts about a week. The attachment method is a 3M tissue strip, which I chose not to use because I prefer the 3M command release. Although they are wonderfully bright for their size, I wish they were a bit warmer in color. They work great in our mudroom/pantry area, which is accessible from the garage, where I connected them to the ceiling. These are bright enough that when entering a typically dark room from the outside, the amount of light is so good that we no longer even turn on the main lights unless we plan on staying in the room for a long time. The motion detection on the ceiling is VERY sensitive, and "low light" is a personal thing. A person can go through the room or just remove anything while the light is on for a little period of time. Although they are a great deal overall, I wish they came with 3M command strips rather than the 3M adhesive they do.

For the living area and bedrooms, the mellow yellow is wonderful "mood lighting," and my son took an extra to place next to his bed as a reading light (yellow being more agreeable to sleep than the white versions).The adhesive backing is undoubtedly sturdy enough to keep it vertically (one is on a wall next to my son's bed), upside down (I put three on the ceiling of various dollhouse rooms), or both. However, one of them nearly fell apart when I turned to change the battery. I have to reconstruct the nodes by aligning them with the light openings (this time I used a spot of superglue on key spots). They have been used by us for a week now, largely continuously. They are precisely what I was searching for, delivered swiftly, and the pricing was fair, so I'm not unhappy with them.Notably, the batteries *do not last long* but given that I have previously owned numerous devices in similar manner, I wasn't anticipating much. In order to avoid turning on the lights when getting out of bed at night to use the restroom, I planned to install low-light night lights in the two bathrooms that lack windows. Plug-ins were not available, and motion-detecting lights would not be useful during the day. These discreet, battery-operated, dimmable night lights are perfect for the job. In a walk-in closet where the lighting fixture needs to be adjusted about every six months, I'm using the third lamp as an emergency light source. These lights ought to function excellently for six months assuming the batteries last that long.The absence of assembly instructions and the fact that the diagrams on the box's exterior don't truly explain how to remove the back cover in order to attach the three AAA batteries are my only complaints. Even then, it wasn't quick or easy; I had to go back to the reviews and the product page to figure it out. (I eventually handed the task off to my husband, who succeeded in getting them open but also nearly gave up.) Tip: Three latches secure the back (battery) cover to the front portion (you can see the 3 slots on the back). The lid can be unlatched by slightly turning the back to the right. It will stay up fine once you've mounted it with a magnet or the included 3M double-sided tape patch, so once you get it off (you will, eventually) and have the batteries installed, *don't* twist it all the way to lock it in tightly. Instead, leaving it only halfway latched will make it easier to just twist and lift off the front when you need to change the batteries.

This one was purchased for use as hallway lighting. I'm serious when I say the brightness will astound you. After putting in three AAA batteries, I wasn't expecting it to be that bright. Since I didn't want to install any sensor LED lights and other varieties are available but not as bright, I use it in the hallway.With this device, I can simply turn it on every night and turn it off in the morning when I don't need it because it has an on/off switch. You can see how bright it is from the pictures I shared. Use it for your garage or closet instead of your hallway light if you believe it could be too bright for that. I think this is an excellent idea if you need to retrieve anything at night or when your garage is closed and you need some form of sensorless lighting.The cost is also rather affordable. Because there are no light switches close to his door and he is concerned about the stairs, my dad leaves the hall and bathroom lights on when he comes over. But that's life, and I grow tired of having to clean the toilet seat in the morning. I don't understand boys and men who try to urinate in the dark, can't be bothered to lift a seat, and can't manage to urinate into a hole wider than their head. If this aids in that, only time will tell.

This is great and precisely what I require. I use it when I won't be in a room for a long time, like for 5 to 15 minutes or occasionally longer. Using these instead of the light switch takes some getting used to, but it gets easier every day. Definitely not for anything that requires extra care or attention, but adequate for errands or minor jobs. On a scale between a powerful flashlight and a nightlight, I'd estimate the light it produces leans about 3/4 more toward the flashlight. I haven't had to change the batteries after using these for a few months because I'm not using it to entirely replace utilizing electric lights. Additionally, my electric cost has significantly decreased, which is what I desired. I'd advise it.

These lamps are AMAZING! There are a few very dark closets in my flat. I used to frequently need to turn on lights in several adjacent rooms to see properly because the closet in the picture is in a dark hallway with no lighting, but not any longer! (The closet is much darker than it seems in the photo, but my camera has a night setting that brightens gloomy pictures.) Although I bought four with the purpose of putting two in each closet, I don't think it will be necessary. This light, which can be seen in the top image high on the left side wall, casts a lovely wash of light throughout the entire closet.I went through a ton of other, more advanced tap lights before this one, and each time they let me down. They were considerably smaller, and the LEDs were so narrowly concentrated that they only illuminated a limited space. However, this light gives me that dated, all-pervasive glow of an incandescent type. Exactly what I needed to find!Installation was simple. To hang the lamp, I hammered a nail into the wall and attached the supplied Velcro tabs for added security. I tried to move the lamp but was unable to do so without using excessive force due to how strongly the velco held; I believe this is a hint that they will remain in place for a long time.:)

Amazing white bright lights that aren't yellow; I added lights everywhere.
