Sometimes I can scarcely hear the water flowing since it is so silent, but taking the crystal ball off the top seems to fix that. I can hear the water trickling more now. Also absent is splashing. Our use of pebbles significantly improved the overall appearance. The assembly is fairly simple, and the pump is so far very quiet (after 10 days of using). I use the water treatment (algae controller) once a week and distill water as directed by other reviews (2 drops each time). In order to keep the pump completely submerged, I must add 6–8 ounces of distill water every two days (depending on the weather, we live in a very dry place). I left it running continuously (only turn it off for checking water). Not sure how long the pump lasts, but it's good to know that we may only purchase the pump directly from the manufacturer or vendor, according to the instructions. I added stones to the water cups as well, and the pebbles' hues transformed the LEDs' stark white light into something more vibrant and subdued.

After discovering that my fountain's bottom water basin (the lotus base) had fractured during shipping, I contacted Peterlvan and provided them images of the damage. I explained to them that I was only searching for a new water basin and that the top Buddha section, pump, and LED light were in good condition. that I just wanted to swap out the defective parts and didn't want a refund. I consequently received my FULL new fountain a few days later. Everything is set up, and it looks wonderful! They didn't have to, but I'm sure it was just easier to send another entire one. Considering the inexpensive price, I was concerned that the fountain would be somewhat little.It comes together very quickly; all you have to do is move the LED light up the tube, put the water pump into the tube, and then submerge the pump in water. It threw me off a little bit when I was attempting to put it together because the rock sculpture is sort of an odd size in relation to the base opening; it doesn't line up perfectly to size, but it really doesn't matter because it just sits on top.Although it has three power levels, the two weakest ones can't truly roll the glass marble. The sound of the water moving is audible at the strongest level, which is pleasant. If the water pump is audible, you need to add extra water to completely submerge the pump.But it's a cute little fountain! It sits on my desk at work, and although I put some polished rocks to it, it would still look good without them.

Everything I was hoping for was in this indoor water feature. The sound is really peaceful, a good size, simple to install, light in weight, and the ideal water sound to fill a whole space. Since it has been working well for two weeks, I never turn it off. Simply check the water and refill or clean it as necessary. Ideal present for friends and family. Our 2-year-old daughter enjoys watching it constantly. I ADORE this tiny fountain so much! I bought it to bring some serenity to my retreat on the deck outside. I have to admit that the negative reviews amaze me, and I'm so glad I ignored them! People complaining that there wasn't enough water sound was the first one that stands out. Mine is clearly audible to me. So to summarize, I forgot. I was both delightedly astonished and frightened when I opened the present on my birthday. If my family and I invested $20 and it didn't work, I would feel terrible, and when I saw all the one star reviews on Amazon, my anxiety only grew.In any case, I set it up and switched it on that day, and at first it worked perfectly. However, the little fountain's motor was noisier than my ceiling fan in just twenty minutes!
