Zentop Black IPad Air 1st Generation Touch Screen Digitizer Glass Replacement Modle A1474 A1475 A1476 with Home Button,Camera Holder,Preinstalled Adhesive,Tool Kit. (Black) Review:

Due to its broken glass, an older iPad Air was given to me. Being a tech-savvy guy who has long constructed and repaired computers but has never attempted to fix a tablet, I decided to give it one last go even though it was ready to be thrown out.Although most of that time was spent removing all of the minute glass fragments from the original glue, the entire repair took around two hours. Furthermore, after practically finishing the operation, I realized my error and had to disassemble the machine once again. Having said that, I completed it, and it operates flawlessly. The person who handed it to me was amazed when I showed him the mended smartphone. The only drawback is that I'll probably end up becoming his "go-to person" for cracked screens.

Zentop for Black iPad 5 2017 9.7 inch (A1822, A1823) Touch Screen Digitizer Assembly Replacement with Home Button, Camera Bracket, Pre-Installed Adhesive, Tool Repair Kit Review:

My iPad 5th generation 128GB, which cost $299 from Costco, cracked when I dropped it on the power button's edge. The power button also became jammed. Another touch screen digitizer that was initially ordered cracked as soon as it was opened. This one was outstanding. I believe myself to be a fantastic DIYer, but I've never tinkered with an iPad or other similar electronic. The Phillips screwdriver was the perfect size and magnetic, and the device worked perfectly right out of the box (I regret not filming a video). Pre-glued strips were present on the touchscreen. Disposable wipes worked fine, but before final installation, I had to clean the LCD screen with a microfiber cloth. The preinstalled home button doesn't enable fingerprint recognition, so I warmed up the bracket holding it in place, took it off, and replaced it with my old one.Overall, I thought everything was perfect.I had to take the power button off, slightly sand it, scrape adhesive from the inner borders where the old touchscreen was, then follow YouTube videos. I paid $24 instead of the $250 Apple wanted for a touchscreen ( not to mention the power button problem)

Touch Screen Digitizer Replacement for Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 SM-T350 Review:

My severely damaged screen was repaired by this item. Over three feet away, my Galaxy Tab A 8 fell face first onto concrete. The process of removing the old screen requires some time. One word of caution: it might be a good idea to cover your screen with packing tape if it is severely damaged. Many tiny shards and chunks of the old glass will fly everywhere when you pry it off. Another smart move is to put on safety glasses. The most difficult aspect is starting to remove the old screen and heating the edges. Use caution when unplugging the thin screen wire from its attachment. The connection is simply press on and peel off. Prior to applying pressure to seat it, be very careful to align it. There was fresh double-sided tape in my shipment. Although the accompanying tools aren't great, they worked well enough to finish the job. Before mounting the new screen, make sure you remove all the tiny glass pieces. The replacement hasn't caused any issues thus far. I finished it in approximately 30 minutes.

TechOrbits Ipad Air 1st Generation Touch Screen Replacement Glass Digitizer 9.7” with Home Button A1474 A1475 A1476 Repair Guide & Tool Kit (Black) Review:

Prior to this one, I had put the (less expensive) digitizer from another firm on my first-generation iPad Air. Due to the broken glass and inadequate tools, the initial removal took some time. I was not afraid by the project because I have experience replacing digitizers on numerous items. The second company's goods didn't come with any equipment, and the transfer paper was folded up and placed in the bag with the digitizer with the adhesive already on it (rendering it unsable). Adhesive strips were practically useless because they were glued to everything. On the final seated push into the frame, the lower left corner of the first digitizer cracked. I chose to use it even though I had a tiny hairline crack at this point. Compared to what I had before, it was superior. No dice... Regardless of what I was doing, the digitizer started clicking all over the screen right away (ghost clicks - google it). The only way to stop it was to restart the iPad, and even then, it would only cease after a brief period of time. When I returned to Amazon, I discovered this gem. I regret not discovering this digitizer sooner! From the first one I installed, this one is a world apart. This glass is really beautiful and has adhesive installed (on the cables AND the digitizer!). This digitizer's included tools alone are worth the buying price. The metal spatula is strong, thin, and pointed. It was ideal for slipping between the old panes. Prior to mounting the new glass, it also made quick work of removing all of the outdated glue from the frame. All adhesive strips on the underside of the glass, as well as the adhesive strips on the home button cable and screen sensor cables, are covered in segmented plastic segments on the new glass. There is a HOME button now! Installed on the camera is the bezel! The glue has been installed! The hardest part of the entire installation was removing the previous glue, which just required a metal spudger and took around 5 minutes. Since this does not come with instructions, I have included a link to a useful article on how to change the digitizer. Even though they don't use the same tools, you'll manage. If you are unable to, you should not be replacing your digitizer. Bring it to someone who is willing to work for beer;) The home button has been slightly recessed from its original position. Actually, I like this better. Now when I wipe the screen free of smudges, I don't mash the home button. The first time I struck it, I noticed it, but it did not interfere with functionality, and I no longer even notice it. The color of the frame inside the digitizer—silver or gold—has been mentioned in many evaluations of digitizers for the iPad Air. Usually, the less expensive digitizers have a silver frame (as this one does). Mine runs smoothly. If you intended to purchase the original equipment, you wouldn't be reading this review, but I cannot speak for other individuals. The difference in cost is around $280. If you care so much, do yourself a favor and avoid having children. This digitizer is affordable, functional, and equipped with excellent tools. If the color of the iPad digitizer on the inside worries you so much, you either have too much time or too much attention span. Visit the Apple Store and permit money theft to occur. I also read other reviews that mentioned a grid that could be seen on the digitizer. The iPad must be turned off, there must be glare on the screen, and you must be closer to the digitizer than Apple ever intended for you to be in order to see the grid on this device (I mean inches). When the iPad is turned on, it is NOT viewable from a regular operating distance and IS NOT VISIBLE AT ALL. It is not audible. Functionality is not in the least bit hampered. Hope your photo doesn't come up when you Google "nitpicking definition";) If you're reading this article, it means that you're looking for a low-cost DIY alternative to Apple's outrageous replacement price for a broken digitizer. This substitution is a perfect fit. BUY IT NOW!Cons: -Slightly recessed home button (see pic)

Fixcracked Touch Screen Replacement Parts Digitizer Glass Assembly for Ipad mini & mini 2 + Professional Tool Kit (black) Review:

This replacement screen is of a high caliber and includes almost all of the components required for a successful repair. For starters, replacing the screen on an iPad Mini is not for the faint of heart. You risk further harming your iPad if you are not careful. The reason I say the kit "almost" has everything you need is because I believe the screen could use more insulating tape on the bottom, close to the home button. For the purpose of preventing "ghost touches," insulation is crucial. My recommendation is to transfer as much tape as you can from the old digitizer to the new one. Kapton tape will also work if you have any. Suction cups were not included in my kit, but since my original screen was cracked, I did not require them. The metal blade and tweezers are excellent, which is why I chose to buy this kit rather than one that was less expensive. I strongly advise watching several YouTube videos on screen replacement before you start the repair. The "iCracked" and "Go Cell Phone Repair" videos were the most beneficial to me. Make sure the glue strips on the side of the screen are properly positioned before attaching it to the iPad. My new screen's glue was a little out of alignment, but I was able to lift it and realign it with the tweezers. To make a good seal, it should be as near the edge as possible. The magnets on the corners shouldn't be overlooked. Enjoy yourself and take your time. Although this was my first time, it took me 4 hours to finish.

Prokit For White iPad Mini Touch Screen Digitizer Complete Assembly with IC Chip & Home Button replacement with SlyPry opening tool kit Ships from CA USA Review:

I replaced the digitizer and fractured screen. I had read a few comments (not necessarily for this product) where people complained about receiving a broken product and having to pay for it even though they couldn't show it had been damaged in transportation. Although this was not the case for me, just in case, I had my husband record me opening and inspecting the item. The stuff itself was excellent. Everything was setup and operated flawlessly. Product gets five stars.2 stars for the installation instructions. Because of the description, I was aware that it would not come with instructions, but I was sure I could get the information I needed online. I tried the seller's recommended video, and it is, to put it mildly, deficient. Here are some ideas I have:The adhesive must be heated for several minutes before a hairdryer may be used to quickly remove it. You shouldn't count on being able to unstick it after a dozen trips around the edges. Give it some time. For the screws, use white plates, cups, or something else white. They come in a variety of sizes and there are a lot of them. Did I also mention that they are tiny? I swear it's smaller than a pinhead. In order to know precisely where they go when you put them back in, count them as you take them out and place them in the same sequence. To put everything back together in the correct order, watch the video several times. Disassembling it is simple. Things takes more thought to put it back together in the proper order. It wasn't tough, however I had to put the LCD panel back down a few times until I realized I had to screw in two metal plates first, before the LCD.Before reassembling the adhesive, test everything. Check that the home screen is functional by tapping all the corners and using the keyboard. Make sure it will lay flat once more. In order for the new screen and adhesive to sit properly, I had to remove some of the old adhesive that had been slightly bent due to the equipment used to remove the previous screen.A film that is adhered to the adhesive on the new screen needs to be removed. A corner is difficult to get off. Be sure to remove ALL of the adhesive films! Some of them are tiny!

Fixcracked Touch Screen Replacement Parts Digitizer Glass Assembly for Ipad 4 + WiFi Antenna Cable and Professional Tool Kit (Black) Review:

The supplied directions were good, but I'd advise anyone attempting this to visit iFixit.com for detailed instructions with photographs. I gave this product four stars since it's great that they supplied a replacement wifi module, but I deducted one star because the home button is fairly bad; I had to use the OEM button in its place. Even though the glue on this replacement glass isn't as good as OEM quality, for $20, I'm willing to overlook that. Take care when prying off the top portion if you have the cellular CDMA/GSM model. On the left and right of the face camera, there are rectangular cellular antennas. When prying them off, be careful because they are glued to the glass. If you don't care about mobile, then do anything you want. When connecting the brand-new digitizer ribbon cable to the motherboard connections, take caution. The OEM cable is a very, very, very little amount thinner than this replacement, I would guess about 1/10 mm thinner than this wire, therefore it takes some work to get them to insert. This replacement took about two hours to complete. Take it slow is the major piece of advise I have. Make sure to wrap the entire glass screen with transparent tape before beginning this project so that no little glass fragments will penetrate your fingers while you are pulling the glass off. You can count on the glass to break when someone tries to pry. In order to make it simpler to remove the OEM glue, I progressively warmed the edges with a hair drier. I didn't even use the other tools; the flat metal scraper that is included is the best. Be cautious to ensure that the motherboard's home button ribbon cable is properly positioned and fastened. I didn't know the ribbon cable had come loose the first time I attached the glass to the iPad, so I had to carefully heat and scrape the glass off AGAIN, remove the LCD screen, and then reattach the cable.

Prokit for Black iPad Mini Touch Screen Digitizer Complete Assembly with IC Chip & Home Button Replacement with SlyPry Opening Tool kit Ships from CA USA Review:

Accurate Fit and Work Great! However, it's not the simplest repair task to take on. I can quickly repair disks, screens, and boards on any Dell, Lenovo, HP, or Apple desktop or laptop thanks to my extensive knowledge. But this was my first job using an iPad. I got by quite fine, but I can only assume that not just anyone could do it. It should be noted that it cracked a short while after I put it back together, but I don't think it says anything bad about the part's quality. The component appears to be excellent, but the first fall that destroyed the original screen left a small ding in the edge of the housing's lower corner. I made every effort to straighten it while also taking care not to damage the actual LCD panel. As a result, the replacement screen shattered in the same way as the old screen as I applied pressure to set the glue. In the end, I didn't realize I was essentially pushing a new, straight screen into a little curved housing. However, even with the crack, it is still fully functional, so we should still get a good year or two of use out of it before the crack reappears. About three years went by before the original screen's crack became severe enough to warrant replacement.

Fixcracked Touch Screen Replacement Parts Digitizer Glass Assembly for Ipad mini & mini 2 + Professional Tool Kit (white) Review:

This kit is excellent. The adhesive isn't particularly strong, but I've never purchased a kit with adhesive that was as powerful as the original. I get over this by using a case, and I have no issues. This kit took me FOREVER to install the first time after I followed a youtube video's instructions. Probably an hour. The screen wouldn't turn on even after I disassembled, replaced, and rebuilt the entire device. To access the connector for the glass screen, you must unplug the LCD display. When I put it back together after taking it apart again to check if the connection was safe, nothing happened. After putting it aside for a while, I began looking for replacement LCD screens because I believed I had fried it. Unplugging the battery will make the iPad identify the new LCD screen, according to one I found. So I disassembled it again (and now it only takes me about 10 minutes. :)) and the crazy thing started up immediately when I simply unplugged the battery connector and replugged it in. I should have turned the iPad off before I began; perhaps if I had done so, I wouldn't have needed to disconnect the battery.
