I've been a DJ for around 33 years, yet despite that, I've never used a light that included lasers. prior to this one. This past weekend, I used it for two proms, and it was fantastic! It contains built-in red and green lasers in addition to leds that flash in time with the music. I wasn't sure what to anticipate from a cheap light, but it was great. This light has a lot of possibilities, including the usage of preset patterns and a variety of "sound active" settings. I had only intended to use the as a light, but the built-in bluetooth speaker is actually rather good. In the basement, my kids are holding dance parties. It is very enjoyable. When I made the decision to buy one of these lights, I spent a lot of time on Amazon reading reviews to attempt to determine which ones came with what and had what features. It wasn't easy because the majority of the product descriptions were not very helpful. To summarize precisely what this has, does, and how it differs from other products available on Amazon, as far as I can tell from their reviews, I wrote this review.First off, I want to clarify that I did not receive this complimentary in exchange for my review; rather, I paid for it out of my own pocket as a Christmas present for my nephew, and then I bought another one after realizing how awesome it was to have one for my own family. There were several comparable disco-ball lights on Amazon when my nephew wanted one. I combed through the reviews for several hours before making a choice. I really didn't need one powered by USB; I preferred one that plugged into a standard wall outlet. Although the reviews claimed that the lights would turn out, the motor that rotated the ball would continue to run unless the device was totally removed, it appeared that the ones that hooked into the wall did not actually switch off completely using the remote. Because one of the reviews claimed that it did completely shut off with the remote, I decided against buying that one because I believed it would be inconvenient.Therefore, I can confirm that using the remote to completely turn off the device results in no lights or spinning. The power off button truly signifies power off. Although this lamp comes with two remote controls, a bracket, a suction cup holder thing, and a very long USB cord, it did not include a power block (the part that plugs into the wall). I decided to use one from around the home for ours and purchase a new one for my nephew instead. Since we use it at home, I have not tried the suction cup mount. It sounds like it would be really cool, but using it while driving could be somewhat distracting. The light doesn't have a white strobe like some of the others, but the red, green, and blue leds are quite bright if you stare straight at them; it's better if you can move it out of the way so you only see the cool patterns the light makes on the wall and not the really bright light itself. We just ended up clicking buttons until we found the color we liked because we were in a dark room and it was difficult to read the remote anyhow, although it would be nice if the buttons to change the settings on the remote were labeled more helpfully (one of the other lights on here labels them as R, G, B, RB, etc. for the colors).I don't know how long I've had it, so I can't comment on how it will keep up, but I'm astonished by how much light it emits considering its small. Ours is hung on the finished basement ceiling, and it effectively transforms the space into a dancing club. In general, I endorse it!

Even though it's not the brightest, I believe it looks better (for my purposes) than some of the 3 or 4 color ones. This light seems more peaceful to me. Due to the fact that it is not in its final placement, I haven't really looked into the various programs.As a kid of the 1960s and a chemistry major in high school, I should probably mention that these domed oscillating light fixtures are not my favorite type of lighting.
