It's a matter of preference, but some people believe that large speakers sound better than smaller ones. The reasoning behind this is that larger speakers can produce a fuller, richer sound because they have more surface area. Additionally, larger speakers can typically handle more power and produce louder sound without distortion.
Speaker spikes are small metal cones that are placed under the speaker's feet. The theory is that they improve the sound by increasing the contact between the speaker and the floor, making the speaker less likely to vibrate. There is some debate as to whether or not speaker spikes actually make a difference. Some people say that they can hear a difference in the sound quality, while others claim that they cannot. There is no scientific evidence to support either claim. If you are considering buying speaker spikes, it is probably best to try them out for yourself and see if you notice
When it comes to speaker placement, many audiophiles debate whether it is better to place speakers on stands or on the ground. While there are benefits and drawbacks to both methods, ultimately it comes down to personal preference. Those who prefer to place their speakers on stands argue that it improves the sound quality by elevating the speakers and providing more airflow. Additionally, stands help to isolate the speakers from vibrations, which can distort the sound. On the other hand, some argue that placing speakers on the ground results in a more natural sound, as the sound waves are not bouncing off of
Speaker stands are important pieces of equipment for many audiophiles and home theater enthusiasts. The top plate of a speaker stand is the part that the speaker sits on. The size of the top plate is important for two reasons. First, the top plate must be large enough to support the weight of the speaker. Second, the top plate must be the correct size to allow the speaker to fire downward, into the listening area. The size of the top plate is determined by the size of the speaker and the height of the speaker stand. The top plate must be large enough to

This is a fantastic addition to the Echo Dot. My echo was previously flat on a shelf. I could hear the echo's vibration when I would play music. This stand was a fantastic deterrent to that. Additionally, I believe it gives the Echo a classy appearance. The stand was quite easy to put together and just took a minute. You can change the angle of the bracket holding the Echo to suit your needs.Having rubber pads on the bottom of the stand to prevent the Echo from moving is another feature I enjoy.Excellent purchase, and I honestly have no complaints given the cost.

Even Sonos Ones can benefit from these. Don't pay attention to the doubters. They are sufficiently stable in their cradle to prevent rattling or leaning. If you're concerned that they might suddenly sway, don't be; they won't. However, if you're worried about tipping them over, you might want to move them to a more strategic location in your home, away from young children and clumsy individuals. Observe the video. Since they are not screwed to the stand, there is some slight mobility, but if you lean the stand far enough for the pieces to fall off, the complete stand will topple. That is operator error, not a design problem. These stands are by far the most attractive I've ever seen.

An excellent substitute for the $20 official stand. With the help of some magnets and an indentation on it, it is simply attached to the Show's base. The base includes a very sticky bottom pad, which is now very standard. It successfully secures it in place. However, once it is in place, it is better to leave it alone because it tends to accumulate a lot of dust and hair.Fortunately, it has a good range of motion, making it simple to modify once it's in place and point it in the desired direction.

There are many reviews that scream bloody murder about how these stands are completely incompatible with these Vizio speakers, as well as many reviews that brashly tout how easy it is to set these stands up with these Vizio speakers, if you do as much research as I do.The truth is somewhere between these opposing viewpoints. Here are some pointers to keep your composure when setting these up:1. Pour your preferred ice-cold beverage. I usually include booze in mine, although it's not necessary.2. To secure the Vizio speakers to the stands, use the included screws and washers. These Vizio speakers do not fit the screw options that come with the stands. There's no need to visit a hardware shop.3. Mount speakers to the stands using the taller L-shaped brackets.4. The trick is to use a pair of pliers to bend IN the bracket "rails" in the middle, where the screw and washer are attached, then bend OUT the bracket "rails" at the speaker plug toward the bottom. It would be better if the washer were a bit larger to assist assure that it was hanging on to the bracket, but it will work if you spend a few minutes back and forth pressing the bracket rails inward where the screw goes and pulling them outward where the speaker plug/cable goes. If you require a visual example, I've added a picture with captions to the Customer Images area at this link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-media/permalink/mo36U1PDULU63RH/B000289DC65. Another suggestion is to very slightly bend the entire L-bracket inwards (lower the angle) to make sure the satellite speaker fits more snugly onto the stand. There is strong double-sided tape included in the stand accessories to connect to the bottom of the speakers that sit on top of the stands if you're worried about the bracket rails separating from the screw washer. In case I ever wanted to hang these satellite speakers from the wall, I didn't bother with that. I thought the pliers trick worked well enough.6. When your ice-cold beverage is finished, you're done.I lowered this to a 4-star rating since it needed a little bit of macguyvering to fit the brackets onto the Vizio speakers. It would have been good to not have to dig out my toolbox to get them to fit, but I think Atlantic should get with the program and supply some accessories for these Vizio speakers since they appear to already have a sizable piece of the market for 3rd party speaker stands. These speaker stands appear to be quite solid and sturdy overall, and the base seems strong enough to prevent them from falling over in the event of a moderate earthquake or accidental brushing against them (knock on wood). The price is reasonable, and the height is very simple to alter. If you use these Vizio satellite speakers and my suggestions and tactics, there don't seem to be many other excellent stand options available.

For my back patio, I looked everywhere for Sonos speaker mounts. Throughout my study, I found myself returning to these. Given that I live in South Florida, which is frequently hot and humid, I questioned a number of people about the longevity of these mounts. However, after receiving them, it seems that they are of extremely high quality. Even though they are made of plastic, they don't look cheap or flimsy because they have some stiffness. I'll be putting them tonight after work in a stucco-covered concrete block house. If you plan to install them yourself in a home with a similar construction, hiring a nice rotary hammer will make it much simpler to break through the concrete block and stucco. I'm so far extremely happy with them, and I appreciate how many alternative speaker setups are offered in a one box. If there are any problems following installation, I will update my evaluation as necessary.

decent, robust stands. For my Samsung HW-K950 rear speakers, I purchased these. It was unclear if they would function with the Samsung soundbar's rear speakers, but they do. Numerous plates that suit practically any speaker are included with the stands. These are sturdy and well coated, however they have a few flaws. For instance, when used with the aforementioned speakers, the L brackets tilt the speakers somewhat upward. To get the brackets to point the speakers horizontally, I had to adjust (bend) them somewhat. Additionally, there is no means to run power cords; it only has a wire management system for speaker wire (a hole near the top and another at the bottom to allow speaker wire to be run covertly) (plug too big to fit into hole). I might employ tiny black wire ties. The pads they supply to prevent the stands from damaging hardwood floors are another flaw; they are little more than tiny electrical tape dots (as if someone used a hole punch and punched out 20 or so small circles). They were difficult to use (imagine trying to remove the backing from 20 hole punched size dots and then applying said dot to a small landing on the bottom of the stand). They could add some more robust rubber pads for a few dollars more. They appear to be nice adjustable stands aside from that.

My second set of stands is this one. I sent back the first set because I didn't carefully check the weight capacity. I mistakenly thought I was getting stands that could support 8 lb speakers per stand when they could actually support 10 lb total—five speakers—per stand.According to the manufacturer, my Polk T 15s weigh 8.25 pounds apiece. These stands effectively support that weight.PROS: Simple assembly and setup; speakers were connected to the stand using the included keyhole hardware without the need for adjustments; 14 gauge speaker wire was easily pushed through the neck aperture and through the pole to conceal wire.CONS: The location of the base feet is important. Its base is triangular. The likelihood of tilting increases if you place the two feet in the forward position. For stability, place 1 foot in a forward stance. Would have preferred a little more height.Would suggest this product for any speaker who can stay inside the 8 lb maximum weight limit for stands.

I found this device completely by chance; up until last night, I was unaware that such a thing existed. Being the ultimate gadget guy, I immediately came up with ten ideas for how I could use it. I quickly placed my order for my first one, and I have a feeling it won't be my last. While reviewing the product website, I discovered that there are a few alternative outlet shelves that are functionally equivalent and even cost less, but none of them have a similarly great appearance. Furthermore, none appear to be capable of supporting a Sonos speaker's dimensions and weight. The others appear to make it more difficult to access the plug while leaving the tangled cord hanging over the edge. And you know what they say about buying from people you like—the seller's humorous ad description is among the best I've seen recently. My initial thought was that I could FINALLY find a spot to remove my electric toothbrush off the bathroom counter and wrap the cord so that I could only plug it in when it needed to be charged and that the cord wouldn't get in the way when it was unplugged. Any rechargeable device, such as a razor (for those who still shave) or a beard trimmer (for those who don't fear the beard), would work with this. There isn't much to the device; all you have to do is attach it to an already-existing wall using either the conventional duplex outlet plate or the Decora-type outlet plate (both are included WITH screws so you don't get, well, you know) (wall NOT included). Done. And the outlet plates that were included? Stamped thin plastic? They are thick, SOLID enameled steel, not thin! The entire device weighs more than 10 ounces, which is more than you would anticipate from the images, and it appears to be incredibly well crafted, like something your grandchildren will find in your will.Although Echogear is already well-known as a provider of several really good TV wall mounts, I am aware that this product is brand-new to them as of a few weeks ago, and they are desperate for recommendations from individuals with strong opinions like myself, so here goes:1. You need cold hues like purple for Barney's room, black, gold, teal, and pink (for those 1950s baths).2. It would be wonderful to include a tiny cord clip to secure an unused cord to the shelf when it is not in use (it's not a good idea to leave my $1,000 iPhone or the electric toothbrush plugged in constantly).I have to give this thing my highest recommendation because it is the greatest superior mousetrap I have seen so far in 2017.

For my new AudioEngine HD6 amplified speakers, which cost $700, I required some sturdy speaker stands. For $159, AudioEngine offered speaker supports from the Sanus steel line. Spending this much money on speaker stands seemed excessive. I was at a loss after reading Amazon reviews of numerous speaker stands rated four stars or higher at various rates. Whether expensive or not, all received both extremely positive and extremely negative evaluations. As a result, I gambled and chose these, the least expensive of the four-star stands. I'm happy I did. The stand is made of a classy black steel tube with a smooth surface that gives it a high-end appearance and feel. The base is MDF with a coating that looks carbon, as others have pointed out. However, the images don't do it credit. It truly does look excellent and, at the very least, cannot be seen on the ground. Additionally, the plastic spikes that insulate speaker vibration from the floor and do not damage wood flooring. Additionally efficient is the cable management system that runs down the inside of the tube.I rarely submit Amazon evaluations, despite the fact that I rely on them. As a result of the conflicting assessments, some people may be prompted to purchase stands that are more expensive than they need. Save money by purchasing these speaker stands if you need some that look beautiful and are sturdy.

If there was a choice, I would have given 3.5 stars, but as the stands are of good quality, I rounded up to 4. The stands' bases are insufficient, as you may have read in other reviews. So much so that the stands will undoubtedly sway even if you use tiny satellite-style speakers. Although the stand will readily wobble even when correctly leveled, the adjustable screw on feet are a pleasant feature. BUT you are ready to go after simply screwing a wooden base on. For a neat appearance, use the rubber post covers that come with the stands if you screw down through the threaded posts. Given the price point, adding the extra bases wasn't really a surprise to me, so that isn't exactly a drawback. However, as the person who spoke before me noticed, the speakers move too easily no matter how tight you tighten the screws. You should be alright if your speakers are out of the way like mine are, but if they are in a high circulation area where inebriated friends or little children might hit them, I advise looking for a more substantial platform.I successfully ran Sewell Sliverback cables through the stands. The stands easily support the 10.8 pounds that my speakers weigh.
When looking for a speaker stand, it is important to consider the size and weight of the speaker, as well as the material the stand is made from. The stand should be tall enough to allow the speaker to be at ear level when standing, and should be made from a sturdy material such as metal or wood. It is also important to consider the shape of the speaker stand, as some stands may not be compatible with certain speaker shapes.
If you want the best sound possible from your bookshelf speakers, it's important to place them on stands. This will ensure that the speakers are at the correct height and have the proper support. Here's how to do it: 1. Start by measuring the speakers and the stands. You'll want to make sure that the stands are tall enough to support the speakers without blocking the sound. 2. Place the stands in the desired location and mark the spot where the speaker will sit. 3. Use a drill to make holes for the speaker's wire in
When it comes to speaker stands, there is no one-size-fits-all answer. The amount you should spend on speaker stands depends on a variety of factors, including the type and size of your speakers, the weight of your speakers, and the overall aesthetic you're going for. If you have small, lightweight speakers, you can get away with spending less on speaker stands. However, if you have large, heavy speakers, you'll need to spend more on sturdier speaker stands that can support the weight. Ultimately, the amount you should spend on speaker
The ideal height for speaker stands depends on the size of the speakers and the listening area. For small to medium-sized speakers, the stands should be about 24 to 36 inches tall. For large speakers, the stands should be about 36 to 48 inches tall. The listening area should also be taken into account when determining the ideal height for the speaker stands. If the listeners will be sitting, the stands should be tall enough so that the tweeters are at ear level. If the listeners will be standing, the stands should be tall enough so that the tweeters are at shoulder level.
A subwoofer should not necessarily be on the floor, but it depends on the type of subwoofer. If the subwoofer is a down-firing subwoofer, then it should be on the floor so that the bass can be properly dispersed. However, if the subwoofer is a front-firing subwoofer, then it can be placed on a shelf or table.
There is no right or wrong answer to this question, as it depends on personal preference and the specific speakers in question. Some people choose to put their speakers on stands or other raised surfaces in order to improve the sound quality, while others simply place them on the floor or another flat surface. Ultimately, it is up to the individual to experiment and see what works best for their particular setup.
