Man I really wanted to adore this thing. Really, truly, I did. It's a beautiful piece of hardware that fits well in a rack and plays Blu Rays with ease. This device's Blu-ray capabilities are truly incredible. The audio and visual quality was excellent. Definitely better than the Samsung K-8500 model. Not a drastic change, but still plain to see and hear.I eventually had to return the device because I listen to CDs more often than I watch movies. The LX500 was outclassed by my Onkyo C-7070. The LX500 produced unpleasant sound, which immediately made the listener drowsy. Even with the LX500 filters set to Short and Soft, I didn't enjoy the sonic presentation. Not because the presentation was unique, but rather because I didn't like it; it was unpleasant, uneven, and in general too harsh for my ears.A basic function that even a $20 player can perform, the inability to select tracks farther into the CD proved annoying.In contrast, the Onkyo C-7070's musical presentation is so incredibly smooth that it makes you want to quit your job and listen to music nonstop. Excellent detail without being clinical, without any harshness at all. The C-7070 has the ability to choose a course's track.The tray is the only other "issue" I have with the LX500. You only receive a plastic tray for $1000? Are you serious? At that price point, I was anticipating a tray similar to the C-7070. The tray and the Samsung's tray were quite similar. Definitely a letdown.Despite being wonderful overall, I regret not keeping the unit. I do advise looking it up.

For more than six months, my family has virtually daily utilized this DVD player, and I'm satisfied with its performance. Although it is slightly larger and heavier than a typical portable DVD player, it is also approximately twice as big. It has been lovely to have the bigger screen, especially as we frequently have multiple people viewing a movie on it at once. We did experience a problem with the screen section not being able to support its own weight, which led to the screen flipping backwards, therefore I gave it a rating of four (which made it impossible to watch anything on it without having to prop it up against something). After being refused any kind of assistance by Assurant (from whom I had purchased a protection plan) because they claimed the issue was "physical" rather than mechanical, I contacted Wonnie (the seller) to see if they could assist since the DVD player was still covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Customer service from Wonnie was outstanding; they responded quickly to my emails and sent me a brand-new DVD player to replace the damaged one (at no charge to me). I would suggest this DVD player to everyone and urge customers to buy Wonnie items without hesitation because they genuinely want their customers to be satisfied with them.

This was brought here to use in late November of 2019, but it isn't working. It was designed for long distance automobile travels, hence it was hardly ever used in 2019. I intended to use it to watch a show while preparing for Thanksgiving, but it did not function. When charged or connected in, the device spins the disc and doesn't do anything else besides occasionally try to play a DVD clip. Any DVD contained here works in our actual players and does the same thing. Before placing my order, I was initially very hesitant about this product because the reviews seemed unusual and I wasn't sure if they were sincere. I placed the order nevertheless, figuring I could always return it if I didn't like it. Well, so far, I really like it! I have only had it a short while, but so far, so good. It's not a speaker of the highest quality, but it's lovely and clear. I wish the volume went up a bit more, but it's still very loud and serves my purposes. comes with a cute little counter stand or wall mounting bracket (which I plan on doing). It does skip rather readily, and that is the only complaint I have thus far. The CD will skip if my kids are bouncing around in the kitchen. Another feature is that even if you unplug the CD or remove it, the music will always resume where you left off! Personally, I'd prefer it to begin at the very beginning each time the power is turned on. Another point is that even after the CD has finished playing, the player keeps going. It simply restarts at the beginning, just like a CD player in a car. This is something that I personally dislike since I leave it playing while I go out with my kids and return an hour later to find that it is still playing. But these are minor quibbles, and I'm genuinely astonished by how much I enjoy this little guy. It has a cute appearance as well. We enjoy!

This mountable CD/DVD player is fantastic. When my daughter's favorite cartoons are not on, we watch movies with popcorn while the projector is connected. I'm glad about the fact that I was able to use a belt from this kit to get the tray on my DVD player to open and close once more. The belt I used has a thinner cross section (0.030" vs. 0.045") and a smaller diameter (1" vs. 1.25") than the original belt. That probably means it won't last as long, but for the moment it's functional.There aren't many different belts in the kit. My impression is that there are only six different diameters, and all the cross-sections within each of those groups are the same. Compared to the original from my DVD player, the belts appear weak. The 0.030-inch cross-section of the smaller belts is typical. A cross-section of around 0.045 is present in the longest belt.The graph paper in the accompanying image has a 1/4" grid. The belt from my DVD player that came with it is the object of the pencil. You can observe that none of the belts in the kit resemble the original in any significant way.I came across a YouTube video by doityourselfstan that offered helpful advice on inspecting and changing the belt. [...]It is crucial to get the tray open without using force. There is a pin in a slot on the underside of the tray assembly on my player. The tray is partially opened by sliding the pin through the slot. You can then manually open the tray without using force.
