For my wife's cutlery drawer, I had created some personalized drawer inserts. I used 1/8" Lexan, and the initial glue I used was ineffective.The interlocking bits that I had cut were now disassembling. I made the decision to give it a try after reading a number of reviews, some of which claimed that this wouldn't work with Lexan and others of which claimed it would. IT OPENS! Now that those components have been completely integrated and properly joined, I can take the entire system out of the 17" x 23" drawer without any wobbling or racking.Because of how runny this substance is, make careful to protect your work surfaces to prevent harm. Have your ducks in a row before you start because it gels up and then sets up fairly quickly (probably in less than a minute). Additionally, make sure the surfaces you plan to join are VERY CLEAN.I lined the drawer (bottom and sides) with parchment paper to protect the wood surfaces before I needed to put the components together. I next applied a few drops of the adhesive to the joint's top so that it would drip into the adjoining seams. I rubbed the adhesive up and down the joint with a simple, round toothpick (keep several toothpicks handy). The glue dried crystal clear and rapidly set up.As you move from piece to piece, another piece of advice is to have something to support the tube of glue so that it doesn't spill out when you set it down.Since the glue gels quite quickly, as I have indicated, I had to continually ream open/clean out the tube tip as the glue congealed around it. Although it's not a problem, it should be taken into consideration.I really like this product and will use it for my upcoming Llexan and plastic projects.

This is what I used to adhere cork floor tiles to concrete. We couldn't remove the old Congoleum adhesive residue off the concrete floor, which was only partially clean. It only takes a few minutes to apply the Fastbond with a paint roller to both areas of the floor, let it dry for 15 to 30 minutes, and then begin laying the tiles. The Fastbond is holding strong on both parts of the floor. If used indoors, make sure all the windows are open because it is extremely unpleasant; once it dries, the scent rapidly goes away.

I got both the #4 and the #16 cements since I couldn't decide which one I needed. I quickly discovered that this is comparable to the glue you used to use as a child to construct models. (Ok, I did it anyhow.) Has a similar scent and a medium thickness consistency, resembling that of jelly. It is advantageous if your pieces don't have perfectly straight seams. If the seams on your parts are flawless, you can use the #4, which has the consistency of water, and a needle applicator. By the way, this resembles PVC glue that is frequently used in plumbing. It didn't have a cotton ball applicator, so getting the cement out without causing messes is a little difficult. I'm not sure what would be the best approach, but perhaps a syringe with a big tip.I review products because I wish to aid others in decision-making. I had built panels for an RV project I was working on. These panels had a frame constructed of wood, with two pieces of luan and styrofoam in between. When I previously completed a project of this nature, I glued the luan to the wood frame with 3M 1357 adhesive (a really good adhesive), and I glued the foam to the plywood with spray adhesive. Because the 1357 will melt the foam, I had to use two adhesives for this job. Most types of foam are melted by the 3M 30 NF Fastbond. Since using just one kind of adhesive is quicker, I utilize this adhesive to assemble the components. The Fasbond glue is also useful for bonding RV headliner carpet. However, my compressor was not powerful enough to complete the task, so I decided against spraying the glue on the carpet. To apply the adhesive to the carpet rapidly, I had to use chip brushes. The 3M 30 NF performed admirably throughout application, and the finished item looked fantastic. Compared to other adhesives, working with Fastbond is a lot simpler. The price is significantly less expensive than that of the other adhesives if you purchase by the gallon.

The greatest plastic glue I've ever used is by far this. specifically designed for tough, difficult-to-bond plastics. It was in the early 1990s when I first became aware of this glue. I was concerned that the recipe may have been altered by 3M or that it might not perform as well as I had remembered. That is not the situation. Awesome, it functions exactly as I remembered. You've probably heard the phrase "they don't make things like they used to." Where 4475 goes, this is not the situation. It still holds up just as well as it did in the past.

Since being introduced to it roughly 15 years ago, I have never used anything else unless absolutely necessary. At the end of the day, my pupils don't have to wash their work and they never use oxidizing solder. Both copper foil and leadlight projects can use it. I used this for a laminate counter top after using it for a refacing project. Because it's thin, a little goes a long way. For the counter-top project, we let the first coat dry before adding a second coat for extra protection. I won't switch back to using the solvent-based products because this one smells little at all and is a lot safer. Of course, 3M produces a wide range of top-notch goods.
