I bought this equipment to get the brake rotors off our Sonatas since they had, in my opinion, welded themselves to the wheel mounting. Previously, the force needed to remove the rotors was provided by a dent puller, but this past fall, a significantly greater issue arose. Using the screw and nut approach, I tried the U-Tube idea and failed terribly. Even though the Jaw Puller was a tad costly, the alternative—taking the car to the brake shop—was much worse. Using this puller slowly and gradually while maintaining a torque of 20 to 40 ft-lbs produced good results on the first try. Due to being less gradual and more aggressive, my second attempt on the opposite side was likewise successful but not without destroying the rotor first. Use moderate torque [20–40 ft-lbs] on the Jaw Puller (WELL BELOW THE SPEC LIMIT), be patient, and pound the rotor with a hammer throughout removal - it helps to weaken the bond between the interface and provides you something to do so that you don't get bored. Best of luck!

It works wonderfully for plumbing posts and holding them steady till you can tack a rail in place. I got this mostly for erecting railing. However, because of its half-ton rating, I am comfortable utilizing it to rig modest loads while mounting machinery like motors.—UPDATE—Since I've had it for two months, I've probably used it virtually daily at work. As I previously mentioned, I bought it largely for the purpose of fabbing handrails, but it has turned out to be very helpful for installing conveyors and their parts as well. Even though I still think highly of it, I do have a criticism. In neutral or the down position, it does not free-spin very well. When trying to add slack to the line, this might be annoying because you have to keep cranking at it. I'm not sure if it's a flaw or if there is an adjustment problem. Although it hasn't failed under stress and free-spins flawlessly when reducing slack, it is still a very helpful tool.

This is a really good tool! It has greatly pleased me. I purchased mine with a 50-foot rope and keep a second 50-foot rope on hand in case a longer length is required.I bought this to clear overhanging branches and trees as part of maintaining hiking trails. I am able to keep a safe distance from the being hauled overhead limbs thanks to the long length rope alternatives. When compared to short-pull wire cable come-alongs, the alternatives for long length rope enable for a safer distance. Although the maximum pull force is only 750 pounds, it works perfectly for what I need it for. A number of other local trail maintenance organizations also use these. My purchase came with a 50-foot rope, which I combined with another 50-foot rope (if the longer length is needed).Do not attempt to use this puller with a high-weight-capacity nylon sling, however, since the high-weight-capacity sling may not fit into the small sized hooks on the supplied rope due to the 750 pound limit hooks' small opening diameter. I think that because the hooks are so little, if too much weight is attempted to be pulled with this puller, they will bend and break as a safety feature.

Excellent work, mini-winch.1) The interior is made of metal, not plastic.2) The mechanism is held together by four screws, allowing you to disassemble it sufficiently to wash away any filth and grime that has accumulated around the wheel (a rivet at the pointy end prevents the spring-loaded release from flying off into the Netherlands).3) The rope has a pleasant, silky feel and is of great quality. Fraying is avoided by the way the ends are finished.4) When you tighten down your load, the ratchet makes a really nice sound. To use, insert the rope into the ratchet from the bottom and turn the knurled wheel until the rope emerges from the other side (extremely dependable). It's not like passing a thread through a needle. Then either directly secure the other end of the rope with the distant end or secure the second hook to the rope end before securing the ratchet to the object you are securing. Simply tug on the end of the rope you threaded through the ratchet to tighten it up. It should be noted that there is no "winch handle" to tighten it. You are pulling on the rope with as much force as your hands are capable of.This handy little tool, the Ben-mor Cables Inc C78005V Mini Winch Clothesline Cable Tightener, can be the answer for tiny chores that require actual ratcheting as opposed to hand tugging. I was on the verge of purchasing one of these for my use—cinching down a tarp cover on a deck—but it appears like it would be laborious to do so each time the tarp cover is used.

came shortly. The blocks are fantastic. The line looks good. I'm only utilizing them to move logs; I'm not using them for "person-rated" lifts. The dead end should NOT be secured in the manner depicted in this image, where the bowline is tied into the becket directly. It needs to be placed into a metal thimble that is sized for the rope and shackled to the buckle.

I've had this in my toolbox for a while, and today I needed it. It was tough to freewheel the spool, but I managed to get it to release, linked it up, and it operated as it should. Gloves are unquestionably a good idea. Uncertain of what portion I touched, but it tore a piece of skin. I picked up the slack after putting on my gloves, connecting the tree saver, and attaching the tow strap to the four-wheeler. After the lines' slack was removed, my four-wheeler, which was high-centered on a stump in the muck, was moved very easily. Because the alternative would have required hours of labor, I was grateful to have this inexpensive insurance. In 10 minutes, including setup and takedown, I was done. Easy.

I studied the negative evaluations and contrasted them with the merchandise. I discovered that it was accurate that you should check the top and bottom nuts and secure them with either lock tight or, as in my case, silicone applied to the tread end. But they perform GREAT for the price and the purpose I bought them for. BUT DON'T AIM FOR 2000 LB LIFT FROM THEM. Maybe it would succeed if the line was attached to a vehicle so it wouldn't cut off your hands, but the line utilized wouldn't. I needed a device that could lift and support five-gallon planting buckets filled with planting mix and water. Although I dislike poly rope, it will work until I need to replace it with nylon. They weighed no more than 80 lbs and were rather easy to raise off the ground. GREAT EQUIPMENT AT A FAIR PRICE FOR MY NEED.
