For Christmas, we bought two of these snow tubes for each of my sons. Snow tubes nearly usually have trouble holding air, so I inflated them a week before Christmas in anticipation of a problem so that I would have time to buy a new one if it wasn't as nice as the reviews claimed. First off, using a blow dryer to inflate it was really simple. Brilliant design. completed in under two minutes. After a few days, I went back and checked on them. They are still just as inflated as the day I inflated them. My boys were overjoyed to open them Christmas morning, and they were able to utilize them right away because Christmas Day saw a significant snowfall. The only reason we even noticed one went "slower" was because the other was moving so quickly. One slid a little faster than the other (I observed the black section on the bottom was made of a different substance, one more slick than the other). Otherwise, we wouldn't have noticed. We ordered a third set a few weeks later for my husband to use with them because we enjoyed them so much. They haven't deflated at all from the first day we used them, and they are still fully inflated (nearly 5 months later) in a closet beneath the stairs. With any snow tubes we've ever owned, that has never happened. Each year, we go through a lot of cheap tubes (they pop, don't hold air, etc.). Without a doubt, I'd suggest these tubes. I purchased this in anticipation of snow this year, but there hasn't been any in my town yet. At least not enough to make tubing just yet. For Thanksgiving, we did take the kids to the mountains and bring it along. They didn't have much snow either, but we managed to find some that had been heaped into a hill that was great to slide down. Children adored it! Considering how big it is, it is fairly lightweight. It must be about five feet across. All four of my children rode down together, but after tripping over each other at the bottom, we decided to limit it to two per trip, haha. three of these were purchased over a year ago. I've only recently realized how fantastic they are. Arriving fully inflated, they have survived more than two years of pool fun and winters without even needing the air to be topped off. They have a little more give than when we first inflated them, but not enough to require additional air. These have survived numerous floating objects. We should establish a business creating pool floats from this material, I was just telling my spouse, because these NEVER die and floats expire so easily. Overall, a great deal of fun and great value. When I was a child, we always used genuine inner tubes, and the inflation valve could easily scratch a twelve inch gauge in you. These pool toys are sturdy, long-lasting, and of great quality. Definitely recommend.

I brought this up to Mt. Rainier/Paradise Lodge yesterday to go sledding. I weighed 210 pounds, the temperature was 22 degrees, and the wind chill was approximately 11 degrees. Both for the numerous travels I took and for my much lighter weight children, it performed well. Not a single pop, crack, or rip. It attracts a lot of attention in addition to people who enjoy going sledding on it. There were a variety of people shooting pictures and videos of the children on it. It is very enjoyable. The only thing buyers should be aware of is that it does not utilize a conventional little fill nozzle. It employs a leakless valve with a bigger aperture that is significantly better. However, because of this valve, a standard air pump won't fill it. Use a device like an air mattress pump, for example. In the end, I had to use my own breath, which took ten minutes to fill. Before you travel all the way up the mountain in the cold and realize you will have to blow this up yourself because all you brought to fill it was a 12v air compressor, just open it and have a look at the valve.

However, most of them only survive a few weeks, if that.Compared to other rockets I've seen, this Frost Rocket is far more sturdy. The 2-seater design is spacious and ideal for use by two people or by one person. The handles have a wonderful textured grip and are very sturdy.We're still waiting for snow to test it out properly, though. Here in this part of the northeast, it's green and rainy. But the kids offered their own expert judgment based on their years of sledding prowess: they believe it to be one of the best sleds they have ever owned and that it looks really good.
